Re: Am I the only one re-reading the series before summer?

I'm planning on starting on Monday so I should be ready by Saturday. I wanted them to be as fresh as possible in my mind.

Re: Am I the only one re-reading the series before summer?

I've just read 1-4 starting last Thursday, going to start Order of The Phoenix tonite, hopefully I will be done by the weekend, so I can catch the movie, and then read half blood prince before the 21st. And I am halfway through the PoA movie.....

(wanted to at least re-read everything before I re-watch it)

Re: Am I the only one re-reading the series before summer?

I've re-read them last week. But I wish I hadn't! Its not going to be fresh in my mind for the 21st! I suppose I could read them again but I don't have the time. Ah well. It's left to the book to explain everything to me now. Have I mentioned I can't wait?

I'm half way through COS, but I've been reading slowly to remember some stuff..I just hope I can get through the rest of the books before DH.

Re: Am I the only one re-reading the series before summer?

I've started re-reading the whole series but I'm very worried that I won't finish before Deathly Hallows comes out, especially since I'm working 8 hours a day and going camping next week.

But I am definitely going to re-read Order of the Phoenix before July 21, because it is my favorite book. I will skip all the other books if it is necessary in order to finish Book 5 on time.

Re: Am I the only one re-reading the series before summer?

I plan to re-read the series after taking a couple of weeks off of Harry Potter. Unfortunately, when I read the book for nearly an entire day and finished it, the next day if felt I had nothing to do. In fact, the only thing I felt like doing was reading another Potter novel. However, I do plan to re-read the series in order since I hadn't become a Potter fan until the sixth book, and decided I fancied the novels (the order I read them in was 6,5,1,2,3,4,7).

Re: Am I the only one re-reading the series before summer?

I didn't quite finished I skimmed most of the last chapters of HBP and mostly just skipped the last chapter to leave to go to the midnight release, but I started it over again this week. Gonna take it slow this time though.

Re: Am I the only one re-reading the series before summer?

This was started a while ago, but I will reply anyway...

I started reading Sorcerer's Stone about two weeks after school ended (which was sometime in may, I believe.) I finished Half-Blood Prince two days before Deathly Hallows.

Re: Am I the only one re-reading the series before summer?

I started to a week before DH came out. Problem came when I couldn't find my PoA (then I remember it was all the way in Illinois), and went looking for someone that had it. By Thursday night I tried starting at GoF but then I gave up and decided to skim over HBP on Friday. Didn't do that either ^^;

I figure when my winter break comes at the end of November I'll sit down and read them all in order (between now and then I shall buy another PoA so I wont get caught up!)

"Vividly," said Harry.

Re: Am I the only one re-reading the series before summer?

I was going to re-read the series, but I ended up just reading random excerpts from the books whenever I needed to reference them, or just needing something to read when I was in the bathroom . I love the series, and now that I have all 7 books, I am going to re-read them this year to see if I missed hints of anything. I have the blue Galadriel Waters book of books 1-5 that helped, but I need to re-read the books, because I swear I have forgotten some things.

Re: Am I the only one re-reading the series before summer?

I had reread the series over the past 8-9 months, but now that I have read DH, I feel like reading them again, looking for the subtle hints of the various things revealed.

Re: Am I the only one re-reading book 1-6 before summer?

re-read OotP and HBP the week before DH was released. Finished HBP Thursday night before the release so things was very fresh in my head to DH. Think I benefited a lot form it and caught myself thinking back many times during my DH read.

Gonna re-read DH now, before I start on number 1 again. can't wait
