Re: Will Sirius come back

Haha, true! I didn't even catch that when I read over the quote. It could be nothing, but it seems like an awfully big coincidence to me.

Then, again, of course, it could be just another Mark Evans.

Re: Will Sirius come back

And awakened, this brings us back to the veil. Which I think will play a role in DH. If Harry communicates with Sirius through the veil, that would be such a great scene!

Re: Will Sirius come back

Maybe he communicates with Sirius (who is beyond the Veil) through the mirror. Now that'd be interesting.

People do realise what happens to them and what it will mean to be hit by the curse, there is a very short time to react to it, but still long enough to start moving backwarts and change your face. And we have seen it with other curses, there are diffrences in the out come. Harry has been blasted of his feet by the sheer forcer of a spell before, even though the spell itself was no stunner.

And on the importance of Sirius' death and the two way mirror I quite like this theory:

scene at the bridge where lupin is telling harry that he has a lot of James and lilly inside of him or something like that is the scene that Jo was refering to which I agree with. Therefore, i will just cut to the chase. The cloak is a deathly hallow. The deathly hallows are objects that somehow give power/strength/love to harry. They are made by a strong bond between harry and the person who died to protect him. They are the answers to voldemorts horcruxes. We also have jo giving us mute hints that the 2way mirror is important and then stating that there was a reason that sirius had to die. Perhaps the 2 way mirror is also another deathly hallow created when sirius, whom harry had a strong bond with and loved, died protecting harry. Perhaps his eyes were made into deathly hallows with his mothers sacrifice, we were always told how much harry had "his mothers eyes." Ofcourse, i am not saying that harrys eyes are literally lillys but perhaps because it was his only physical characteristic that he shared with his mother (everything else seems to have been an exact replica of James) and became the bond that he shared with his mother and resulted in his eyes becoming deathly hallows. Dumbledore also sacrificed himself for harry in the tower and perhaps the little pouch that harry has around his neck in the cover of book 7 contains the note/fakelocket which became a deathly hallow. Maybe instead of the fake locket the deathly hallow might be griffindors sword, Fawkes (kind of the opposite of Nagini) or something else.Furthermore, we also are told that there are 2 more deaths to come in book 7. Could these 2 deaths also be from people who love harry and sacrifice themselves for him? If this is the case, then there would be six in total which lo and behold is the exact number of horcruxes that voldemort created.

In conclusion, i think it is possible that we may have gone the wrong route on the cloak question. Perhaps instead of asking ourselves what use was it put to that night or who was hiding under it or what object was it hiding, maybe the right question to ask ourselves is what does the cloak represent. Why should it be important for harry.

Oh and by the way, i think that these object somehow make harry immortal just as the horcruxes make voldemort immortal...but that is another thread.

As always, I welcome any thoughts on my theory.
It's from the ' Why did Dumbledore have James's invisibility cloak at the time of his death? v3 ' thread, and while I don't agree with some of the details, I think it is a very good theory. It answers a lot of open questions and fits with all canon information I can think of.

Perhaps that is what's meant when she said we'll see how close you can get to the dead?
I think your right

I think that Harry will get to talk to him, but only to the shade of Sirius. Dead is dead afterall.

Re: Will Sirius come back

i dont think sirius will return as a human or physical bein but i do think that harry will talk to him and his spirit or shadow or something will help him .
i think the way sirius died was very unresolved and i think that the viel will play an important part in DH, like maybe LV will be pushed into it and harry must sacrifice him self and fight him beyond the viel with sirius and his parents help.

I hope that in some way he is. I really think he is dead but I hope that there is a way in which he comes back and helps Harry.

Re: Will Sirius come back

I remember reading somewhere that in English lore there is an actual veil of death similar to the one in OOtP. If that is the case and Rowling based her veil on this, I don't think Sirius is returning like a resurrection scene. I find it interesting that the other person who heard voices through the veil was Luna, whose mother died when she was younger. Were the voices they heard Luna's and Harry's parents?

Re: Will Sirius come back

I think that Sirius is still alive for numerous reasons first off eveyone is assuming he had died, he was hit with a stunning spell it was a flash of red light which would mean stupefy spell, second none of us know exactly what the veil contains or what it does when you go through it so why assume it kills you, maybe its just that your stuck in limbo, then we have JKR she has never said that he was offically dead as she stated with dumbledore, also he was a major character why get rid of someone that is so important. Him and harry deserve some kind of happiness they both had messed up lives, I will never be satisfied until I read book seven.
