I think he will, using the mirror.

How about...he'll be the Grim that Voldemort sees right before Harry arrives.

Re: Will Sirius come back

I think he wont be able to because Harry smashed the mirror, unless Sirius still has one.

Now that's a nice idea.

Personally, I don't believe Sirius will return in physical form (which includes ghosts). We might see him through the Two-Way Mirror but I do not think he will play a vital role because he has served his purpose and Harry has to do this alone (with the help of his close friends, of course). We might hear Sirius through the veil if Harry visits the room again, which I think he will, but I doubt how much help Sirius will provide now that he's dead.

Isn't there a little spell called Reparo?

Re: Will Sirius come back

I hope Sirius does come back at least in some form. Harry still needs someone to advise him.

Re: Will Sirius come back

I don't think that Sirius will necessarily come back, like to his old life, though I don't think we have heard the last of him. Bellatrix didn't use the Killing Curse, so he couldn't have died in the battle. The veil is rather a mystery, though. Harry and Luna could hear voices coming from it, but the others couldn't. Was this just another magical trick like the Thestrals? I think that Harry MIGHT find someway to communicate with Sirius, though not whenever he feels like it. It almost seems that he would need to return to that room if he wanted to be close to Sirius.

Re: Will Sirius come back

We could not have guessed that James would aid Harry by being his patronus, or that his parents shadows would emerge from Voldmorts wand, saving Harry. I think some memory-form of Sirius, or rather Sirius' love for Harry, will help Harry, but Sirius himself will rest in peace.

But, what about the mirror? Didn't JKR say it was still important?

JK Rowling replies -> Ooooo good question. There's your answer.
Also, the following is listed with a spoiler warning on JKR's site, so I guess I should too:

SPOILER BELOW:

From jkrowling.com:

Why did Harry have to forget the mirror he had been given by Sirius in 'Order of the Phoenix'?

I can’t give a full answer to this, because it is relevant to books six and seven. However, the short answer is that Harry was determined never to use the mirror, as is clearly stated in chapter 24: ‘he knew he would never use whatever it was’. For once in Harry’s life, he does not succumb to curiosity, he hides the mirror and the temptation away from himself, and then, when it might have been useful, he has forgotten it.

The mirror might not have helped as much as you think, but on the other hand, will help more than you think. You’ll have to read the final books to understand that!

Re: Will Sirius come back

im thinking that Sirius definitly isnt dead- for 2 reasons. 1- in the ORder of the Phoenix movie, his death was quick, and not very sad at all. I think that if his death was as important and final as it seems, they would have played it up a little bit more. 2nd- the part towards the end when Harry is talking to Luna, and she says something along the lines of, "Things that we have lost tend to find a way of coming back to us. Even if they are unexpected", or something like that. but in any case, this seems like some serious foreshadowing for more than the return of Luna's lost shoes.

I would like to see Sirius again, A bit of swash and Buckle to add to the story.
He is an exciting character.

I don't understand, did Bellatrix hit Sirius with the Avada Kedavra or was it a minor curse?
In the book it seems to have been just a stunning spell, but in the movie (if I am allowed to mention this here), she clearly says Avada Kedavra. I don't think JK would let this get by her if it was incorrect.
However, the order has secret ways of communicating, one of which is concealing a message within a Patronus. I have wondered whether this might be used to contact Sirius through the veil.
Also, I could see another Priori Incantatem-type event happening, where Sirius reappears for a few moments, (say something unleashed souls from the veil in the DoM) but I don't think he'll be back for much longer than that, Harry's supposed to do this himself.

Re: Will Sirius come back

I'd like to think that sirius will come back. But, im forced to look at the facts of what people said to harry, and how they all treated the matter as a death. I would like to know more about the department of mysteries though, like, what is in some of the other rooms?

Re: Will Sirius come back

Sirius is gone. What would be the point of killing him off just to bring him back? It's a shame, though, he's the best character in the series.

when luna said that, the thing about the shoes, i gasped so loud it made me really believe that sirius will come back in one way or another even if it isnt in physical form, and his death was kind of strange in the movie and in the book in the book i dont remember him ever getting hit with the killing curse i just remember him getting hit with a spell that knocked him into the viel, and in the movie he just kind of dies oddly, i belive he will come back in some form.
