I know, I should have been more precise: Petunia states in HBP that although both boys were born in the same year, Dudley was born first.

Could this be the something more?

Could this be why DD wanted Harry to stay with Petunia, so the blood- protection thig could continue. Is it because Lily and Petunia not only have the same blood but the same DNA?

Am I crazy with this idea?
The twins idea is interesting but fraternal (non identical) twins are like any other full siblings (same mother & father) with regard to DNA. only identical twins will have identical DNA.

Yeah, and Petunia looks very different from Lily. I don’t really see how it could make a difference.

Your right, and Vernon had been acting stangely all day wondering whether he should tell Petunia he heard mention of the Potters. He slightly hinted at it but backed off because Petunia did not like talking about them. She acted as she always did, but if she had just found out her sister died, she would have been much more responsive to Vernon asking about them.

Unless she didn’t want to let on that she knew.

That's possible, but I think that if she realized Vernon had heard something about the Potters, she would want to know what he had heard. Possibly though, she was so shocked by what happened that she was wary of even telling Vernon what happened. I don't think anyone took the time to tell her though. I think the first she heard of it was through the note Dumbledore left with Harry.

I agree she didn’t know, but if she did I doubt she would have told Vernon. If she had a relationship with her sister at all, Vernon didn’t know about it.

JKR made it clear that Petunia won't be doing any magic. But, I still think there is more than meets the eye with her. I think she knows a lot more than she has let on and a private council with Harry when he comes back may be all it takes to get it out.
She could have more information about who was all present the night Lily and James were killed
Know more about the protection
Maybe even have information that leads Harry to a Horecurx hmmm...

thts interesting ... At least the "Very good gues " part. could it be that sqib means both parents are wizards and if 1 is and 1 isnt the person is just called a muggle.

Yeah, I agree about her being more responsive. She might not have liked her sister, but I think that Lily's death would've still made quite a big impact.

I think JKR has definately made it clear the all the Dursley's are muggles...however, because of ties to the magical world Petinua may have more information than we think.
I have a feeling she knows more about the night they died than meets the eye...

I'm going out on a limb here but I think we'll learn that Petunia is not Lily's real sister. I think Lily was adopted and that Snape and Lily are really brother and sister. Sever-us. Snape was also adopted by Tobias Snape and that their real father is Tom Riddle. Not Voldemort but Tom Riddle.

He was quite handsome and Eileen could have used a potion to trick him into loving her the same way as Merope did with Tom Riddle Sr.

That’s quite elaborate, don’t you think?

Sounds like a plot to a daytime drama!! Very imaganitive though. Kind of reminds me of starwars though...with the spitting up of brother and sister bothing have a Dark Lord for a father....Have you found anything in the text to support this? One thing we do know is that JKR does a lot of foreshawdoing...sometimes subtle and sometimes outright...let me know if you find anything

I was talking about this. Itís too much of a conspiracy theory, with no canon backing.
