Nope you aren't to late. It just opened today. Just enter JKR's site in the UK verison. I entered through the Acessability version first and it didn't work for me either.

What`s your problem? Couldn`t you open the door or have you problems with the riddle within the room?

Percy wouldn`t recognise a joke if it danced naked in front of him wearing Dobby`s tea-cosy.

Just from the way your post was stated I thought you had resigned yourself to a "T", I'm glad to hear that is not the case. I have already seen the "Troll Results Certificate" from another code(s) posted on the previous tests (and of course, the wording on them changes every time).

Maybe with my bad answers cancelling out my correct answers, I'll get a chance to view the Troll Certificate, first hand. But, there is always hope, until the results are in.

Re: WOMBAT test part three

I just took mine. It was interesting and I think the first parts were the hardest. Those Minister questions were the worst.

Sorry for my unclear statement, my only excuse is English isn`t my first language and when I`m tired or excited it would be more worse.
I think the rating for this test would be tough, but the marks for the first one were much better than I expected. I think you should give up hope.

Re: WOMBAT test part three

Whee Hee - my birthday and I get a Wombat! *kiss* *kiss* very happy!

I thought it was really hard, particularly about the Ministers of Magic.
Also I read some of the questions wrong (ie what is NOT true...)

And about some of the political events that sparked goblin unrest (...How I wish Harry had paid attention in Binns class!)... but very interesting.

The Ollivander-disappeared-to-give/prevent-Wands-being-given-to-Goblins-as-a-bribe-for-their-loyalty theory got a boost I thought.

I went to lexicon to bone up on the time line and the ministers for another shot at it, and the questions made more sense in part 2 the second time around.

I can't wait to:
a) get results
b) discuss fully

Must go to school now!

Also - clearly that symbol means something

circle = earth (growing cycle) = Hufflepuff ? Circle also feminine symbol.
line = sword (or wand) or penis = Gryffindor?
triangle = Rowena ? (she was a single lady - triangle equilateral or otherwise are building tools - she built Hogwarts)
4th symbol (missing)
square (missing) = Slytherin?

No problem, I only know one language and thank goodness the books are written in it, not translated (but, of course, I would take any restriction to read them).

My result will be all mine, and I will be proud to accept it and wallow in the knowledge that I got to take all three tests. A lot of long-time posters missed one or both of the previous WOMBATs.

Back to test...
I thought the Minister Of Magic questions were hard, except for the last two. Maybe I got the first one right, some posters seem to agree with the "first woman" protest from the Wisengamot. I only put werewolf for no cure, because the potion only controls the werewolf for those few days in that specific month, it must be renewed every single month (and it wasn't even listed).

Does anyway know anything about vanishing living things and non-living things? I said that you couldn't vanish anything, but I bet you can vanish non-living objects.

I never took a second test using a new number before. I always just took the test the minute I found it. But I think this time, since it is the last time, I'll take it again. Do I have to erase my cookies first?

Re: WOMBAT test part three

I found the Minister for Magic questions hard... except for the Fudge one
And I expected that some of the older Wizengamot guys would walk out at the appointment of Artemisia Lufkin, since the was the first woman ever to have become Minister of Magic and I can imagine some narrow-minded old guys not liking this new development.

I was very intrigued by the symbol, the Salazar Slytherin option and the Rowena Ravenclaw option... very cool.

All these trivia-facts make me want to write Jo, begging her to write an Encyclopedia on every little fact she has ever thought of Wait - maybe I will... (or I won't have to, since she usually follows discussion on the Internet ... right, Jo?)

Re: WOMBAT test part three

Anybody here who has Vista? Olive mentioned in the JKR thread that there is something we couldn`t see without Vista. Could someone who has it make a screencap? I`m very curious and olive is gone.

Edit: HP hedgehog: you have to alter you signature because we have the WOMBAT already.

Didn´t Hermione somewhen let a kitten vanish? Don´t remember exactly in which book...

Re: WOMBAT test part three

I don't remember what question number it was but one of the answers had to do with the Sorting Hat being stolen. What did everything think of this? Is it a clue?
I think I actually gasped when I saw that.

I said that one was false since I thought that the Sorting Hat had always been safe and sound. I could be wrong though.

No, you can take it again, only with a new Student I.D. (you'll get it when you take it).

Well... in OotP, they practised Vanishing charms. They did snails and mice and stuff... (animate). If animate things can vanish, inanimate surely could, although I can't recall an immediate book quote or something..

I think it was false... and even if it would be a clue, I'd find it hard to believe that it would have anything to do with Voldemort's Horcruxes, since the Sorting Hat was - alledgedly - stolen in 1325.

I thought that the symbol was a clue, though. And the Slytherin option. The Ravenclaw one perhaps, too... but I said it was false. It was about theories that were now PROVEN to be true... and the fact that Rowena Ravenclaw had built and named Hogwarts because she had dreamt that a warty hog lead her to the cliffs and lake... is hard to prove if they don't even know in which period of time our beloved Founders lived.

I also laughed at the "War of the Roses"... I've actually seen that film.

Me too. I just thought it was so opposite of what Dumbledore has said about the hat that it's either just a "joke" answer or major clue.

But if it was stolen than who knows where the real one is.
Anyway, I thought it was an interesting answer that I was sort of surprised to see.

Yes, I was surprised as well... I just took it as a joke from Jo's side
What did you think of the Minister of Magic questions?
I linked Fudge with the obvious one, Artemisia Lufkin with the protesting Wizengamot members (first female Minister and all)... the "Spout-Hole" nicknamed one with the attempted centaur assasination (hehe...) and Grogan Stump (of whom I only recall the "beast" and "being" definitions and that he was a popular Minister of Magic) with... I believe the pureblood/Squib one. I now realise that it probably should have been the Ghosts-option, because he's the only one who had to do anything with ghosts. Ah well
