Re: Future Novels in the Harry Potter World.

I think a book of short stories would be good as well. That would make it easier to write and still give fans what they want.

I agree with that! That would be nice, just stories from the perspectives of Ron and Emma and others that kinda show different parts of the story! Even one that shows it from Voldemort's showing why he became how he did!

Re: Future Novels in the Harry Potter World.

Books I would (unrealistically) like JKR to write: Hogwarts, A History; A History of Magic; The Next Gen; The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore (maybe with notes by Harry and others telling us what is real and what is embellished by Skeeter)...Rowling could do a whole collection of text books -- Advanced Potion Making, A History of Magic, Standard Book of Spells, Unfogging the Future, Confronting the Faceless... Of course, I know this unrealistic and will most likel never happen.

My brother commented after seeing the last movie that he wishes there was a new 7 book series. He's not one to say stuff like that. He's not a reader, either. I remember in high school he said once he graduates he's never going to read again. Little did he know...

it would u nice to get to see the actual Life and Lie of Albus Dumbledore! It would be nice to see what she actually wrote about him and what Bathilda Bagshot had to say!

'Hogwarts, A History' would be top of my list. An exquisite leather bound book with an embossed Hogwarts crest would be delightful!

I solemnly swear I am up to no good :P A look back at the Marauder era would be nothing short of brilliant!

Re: Future Novels in the Harry Potter World.

I'd love it if Rowling came up with Hogwarts: A History, The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore and the books the students have to buy for their first year. I personally think that people would be more interested in these books, rather than something non-Harry Potter related.

Re: Future Novels in the Harry Potter World.

It seems that many are saying they would like a Hogwarts History or the life and lies of Albus Dumbledore both of which I would love to read. I also saw one wanting a book about Snape (would love that too) I don't think a continuing story with Harry's kids would be good because it is too cliche'. To me that would be like bringing back Voldemort, It wouldn't be good and I think it might actually ruin the series. I would love to see something about being an Auror. A book about becoming an Auror or a biography from someone who was an Auror would be cool! A book on potions or the life of Harry's parents (something like a prequel to book one).

I'd love to read Lockhart's Magical Me, as well as the "heroic" book I'm sure he'd write (if not for losing his mind) about the the battle at Hogwarts.

That's exactly what I've been thinking. A book of short stories focusing on Harry's parents' era and/or Harry's kids would be a good complement to the series.

Hogwarts, A History would be great, too!

That sounds great. I would love to read it. I bet it would have to be a few novels though.

All of these books would be so nice to see and how they all came to be! But still I would be more jumped to see The Life and Lies of Albus, and Something on the marauders!

Anything about Marauders I would lap up... anything at all... I am hoping there are tons of facts and fun stories about the marauders that will be uncovered due to Pottermore... or I will have to wait for that Encyclopaedia that Rowling promised ages ago god why can't she tell us more about the marauders???? Is it me or are they waaaay more interesting that Harry and the trio?

Re: Future Novels in the Harry Potter World.

I REALLY think there should be a prequel series to Harry Potter dealing with all the marauders (james, sirius, remus, and peter) and their journey through Hogwarts...I would love to know more about them!!!!!!!

Re: Future Novels in the Harry Potter World.

I would like a prequel about the Marauders . . . as well as a sequel about all the Weasly and Potter children(Including Teddy Lupin). I'll will eat up anything potter really. Something that shows why wormtail decided to take his course that he did, and something that explains how everything turned out for Albus Severus! Something that also give more depth to the relationship that Severus and Lily had!

Re: Future Novels in the Harry Potter World.

I would like to see her release something like an issue of the Daily Prophet. With a bunch of little article explaining some things after the seventh book. Or anywhere in the series really.

I would love to have both of these happen.
I want to know more about the past and the future

Me too! It would give us so much more knowledge of how it came to DH and the final battle! And also show us what life is like after the Fall of Voldemort!

Something else i would like to see is a book that tells us How Neville could have been the one in the prophecy. Telling us what his parents had done, and just giving us his families perspective!

Also something showing why Voldemort decided to choose Harry!
