I've been gone for some time now. Without going into great detail, I had to attend to a family bereavement in September, which put a lot of plans I had on hold. The other staff had no awareness of this, as I was far too busy to communicate.
The plans I had to close CoS have not changed. However, like a lot of things, the priority of CoS has slipped for me and therefore I have no idea right now when I will get the time to close the forums, so I intend to keep paying for the site for the future. I expect CoS will be here for Christmas and into the New Year. I also need to contact Ali, the tech admin, who is also very busy with his family life, so don't worry about CoS closing this side of 2014.
Continue to talk about the closure here and just carry on for now and watch this space. I'll update when I have some firm dates on when things can change.
I think it was brilliant analysis, you really did your research. It does seem like it could have certainly been true. I would have to look over some stuff before I call it fact, like for instance some of Kreachers memories of "master Regulus". The statement I most question was when you said that you doubt an 18 old boy would know what a horcrux is or how to destroy it because Regulus came from a dark enough family that he could have found out and if my memory is correct, he didn't destroy it. I can't say that I'm convinced because throughout the book it lead you so strongly to assume it was Sirius's brother, but kudos to a strong argument that deserves a little looking into.
