Favorite Scene

I looked into a few pages of threads, and didn't see one of these and did the search too, so if there is one- please just close this or post where it is.

My favorite part... when Harry is walking into the Forest to meet his "death" and has the Resurrection Stone- and stands with James, Sirius and Lily. When he looked into his dad's face and asked "Does it hurt?" and gets reassurance form all of them. That really touched my heart.

I loved his talk with Lupin in that scene and was so glad Remus was reunited with James and Sirius.

I have alot of scenes I loved so I don't know if I can pick a favorite yet. Here's my top 5 right now but the order may change.


5) Hermione praising Ron's idea to get the Basilisk fangs from the CoS
4) Snape wanting to look into Harry's eyes as he was dying
3) Ron destroying the locket Horcrux
2) Molly yelling "NOT MY DAUGHTER, *ITCH" and killing Bellatrix.
1) Harry burying Dobby and engraving his tombstone

i loved a lot of the scenes towards the end and ayt the beginning.. i loved the seven potters, and the battle of hogwarts, but the scene i most loved was the one where harry is walking to his death. it is so emotional

Probably Harry and Hermione in Godric's Hollow at his parent's grave. But also A Prince's Tale.... because we FINALLY understood Snape!

And the charms in Grimmauld Place, I thought those were clever.

Well, the first scene that strikes me is the one with of final moments of Severus...Without magic,without any amazing,creative flashes of light and thunderbolts,just two people,one of them dying...A desperate need for one more glance on the eyes of the dearly beloved...Just the strenght of being a human,and facing you weaknesses...A perfect Almodovar-ish scene....

I had so many favorite parts: it's hard for me to name all of them!

I loved the part when Harry was going to meet his death in the forest (and talking to his parents, Sirius, and Remus). It was so overwhelming. *Sigh*

I loved when Ron and Hermione finally had their kissing scene. *Love is in the air!*

I was so glad when Percy came back and Fred (may he rest in peace) forgave him, and such.

And Severus' death (and the small time afterwards) when we learned that he was not evil, but perhaps one of the most bravest.

There are so many more, I just can't write all of them down now!

I think my favorite was finally meeting Aberforth and learning about what Neville and the DA had done without Harry at Hogwarts. I was just so proud of Neville!

I found some scenes I'll treasure for a long time!
Especially the ones related to the revelation of Snape's true identity and life.
My favorites were,

1) Snape's death( How he looks into Harry's eyes *sob!*)/ The Prince's Tale
2) Harry burying Dobby-"Here lies Dobby, a free elf"
3) Harry and Voldemort's last face-off
( it was spine-tingling how Harry words Voldemort's weakness into tight argument and shows wisdom and valor!)
4) Neville killing Nagini
5) The Epilogue

Here's mine! I loved em all though!

1) when he's walking to his death! He's like thinking why did he take every breath for granted..why didn't he realize what a miracle he was! And then when he took out the stone and brought back J,L,S, and R!! Does it hurt? OH i'm about to cry AGAIN!

2) Here lies Dobby, A free Elf! Awww! So sad!!!!!!!!!

3) The very end of the Epilogue:: (not the exact words, i know) The scar hadn't pained him in 19 years. And all was well. When I read that cried my heart out!!! Can you believe it? It's over! Awwwwww

4) The defeat of Voldemort. How Harry killed him with Expelliarmus! Made me sooo happy!

I have to reread it to get all the scenes in again but until then:

** THe whole scene inside of Gringotts, the truth that there was a dragon( poor guy). He had been trained not in a positive way but a negative abusive beatings. He was blind in one eye because they were slashing him so much. SO when he got to be let free, not to mention taking so goblins with him, that was it for me. THen there was all the gold and magical items that wee enchanted to burn hot and then multiply if they were touched. They were smarter then i would have thought.

2) Dobby's Headstone
3) Teddy and Lupin's facial expression when he said he had a son.

Whole Malfoy Manor bit... Was so scared for Hermoine.......

When Ron returns to save Harry....

When they are attacked in the cafe and Ron says about killing them, I laughed my head off, I thought ron was keen until JKR says he looks relieved.....

It's hard to nail an exact scene but I loved just before the Battle of Hogwarts, as it slowly began to dawn on me that there would be an epic battle and McGonagall orders the teachers about, etc.

I also ADORED the entire Battle of Hogwarts with all it's little touches...

...And of course, the fantastically written march of Harry to inevitable death....

Okay, so basically EVERYTHING from the arrival in Hogsmeade onwards!

Two stand out to me.... being a parent, Molly Weasley finishing off Bellatrix resonated with me... good stuff there...

And second, Harry watching Snape's memory... finding out that he & Lily had been 'best friends', and that "Snape's worst memory" in HBP was not the fact that he was getting picked on by James & Sirius, but the fact that he had called his 'best friend' a mudblood, which we find out now, basically resulted in the end of their friendship.... All the head scratching about Snape was finally over...

Snape's memory was one of the few scenes that caught me by surprise. In large part, in this book, I could kind of tell what was coming as the book progressed... There weren't moments, for me anyway, where my jaw dropped and I went "How did I NOT see that coming"...

Oh goodness, my new favorite character, Auntie Murieal, when she said that Luna's dad looked like an omlett, I laughed out loud!!

My favorite scene, well, entire chapter, really, is when Harry is walking to the forbidden forest where he knows he must die. It touched my heart and made me cry so hard. Especially the lines "I am about to die" and "does it hurt?" Oh my gosh, I thought my heart would break. I really liked how he got to see Lily, James, Sirius and Lupin all together at last. I just wondered why Dumbledore wasn't in the scene...

Besides that, I really liked Ron and Hermione's kiss. I was like, Finally, at last!
