Plot twists you had NEVER heard about

So, a lot of things in DH have been previously speculated on the forums (like for example Rab=Regulus, final battle at Hogwarts, etc)

But there were some plottwists I had never read on the internet.
For example:

• The invisibility cloak being one of the Deathly Hallows
• Dumbledore being tempted by Dark Arts
• Snape and Lily relation (oh, I'm just kidding )
• Neville killing Nagini
• The whole Grindlewald plot
• The Muggle Studies Teacher making an appearance.
• What the Deathly Hallows really were.

What about you? Any plot twists you had never heard about?

I was deathly scared of running into anything that might be true about the final book so I didn't look around enough to find anything like that haha

I too avoided spoilers and the internet like the plague once someone told me that spoilers were leaking, so i was (sadly) unable to debate with people about what might happen in DH.

Not sure if they count as plot twists but as far as my own predictions/ideas went, i never expected Dudley to treat Harry so nicely! I thought if any of the Dursleys would it was going to be Petunia.

Never expected Mrs Weasley to be the one who would finish off Bellatrix either (go Molly!)

No I dont believe they were.

Id never heard anyone suggesting that the light device (I cant remmeber its name) would make a return or that Dumbedore owuld turn out anything less than perfect.

I steered clear of any HP-related websites before reading DH, so I must say most of the plot came to me as a shock!
I particularly liked how JKR developed Dumbledore's past, and the Deathly Hallows was also very interesting (as soon as I read the fairy tale I said "The cloak is Harry's ).
And, of course, Dumbledore's staged death and Snape's sacrifice...I'm awful at predicting plot twists, I just let myself be driven by the book, so I could hardly foresee any of the plot twists.
Because of this, DH was by far the most enthralling and surprising of the seven books. At least for me.

Molly killing Bella and Neville killing Nagini. Just Neville being so awesome in general was a great surprise.

Also, I was pretty sure that both Snape and Pettigrew would die, but I expected their deaths to be more dramatic and, just... not the way they were.

I really avoided running into speculations on the net, wanted to be careful of all those spoilers...but yeah, DD being tempted by dark arts, snape-lily relationship and neville killing nagini..didnt expect it

I didn't hear anyone mention that Dumbledore was already dying of the hand.

The Hallows being objects rather than a place. I do not think i saw this guess anywhere prior to the books release. Also I was very suprised that Dumbledore was friends with Grindelwald

I purpsly didn't read any of the spilers, so the whole book was a nice suprise for me .

I was definitely not expecting anyone to correctly guess what the Deathly Hallows were. A lot of people thought it had to do with Godric's Hollow but that seemed too obvious. I was also really shocked to see Gellert Grindelwald to be in a huge part of the plot. I know Jo brings up things casually (Dumbledore def. Grindelwald in SS) and then makes them come back at a later time, but that was pretty unexpected.

I knew the invisibility cloak would be key because she said we'll find out why Dumbledore had it the night James and Lily died, but I never expected it to be a Deathly Hallow.

There were a lot of plot twists in the book that I was very surprised to learn about. One major one was Neville killing Nagini....I definitely thought that would be Harry, then again, I thought Bellatrix would be murdered by Neville, not Molly Weasley. Also, just the Hallows in general. We thought Harry would be focused on getting the Horcruxes, but the Hallows were completely out of the blue.

I also didn't expect to learn so much about Dumbledore's family, because after hearing about Kendra, Ariana and Aberforth, it just seems weird that we refer to Dumbledore by his last name, and not Albus. When someone calls Harry "Potter", or even more weird, calling Hermione "Granger," it seems so formal, but not when talking about Dumbledore.

I was also surprised with Nagini taking on a human form, then again, Lupin said to expect extroidanary magic...

The whole muggle studies teacher bit threw me for shock. I had never heard of a muggle studies teacher before. I might have been missing something or forgotten but I didn't know this was a subject. Seemed a bit odd really but ok.

Yeah I agree about the muggle studies teacher and I think they should have mentioned that because she would have been Hermione's teacher in the third year.

Nagini 'being' Bathilda in her house. That was really creepy.
Oh! And Harry's wand being snaped in two

Nearly all of them- except for the speculation about the true identity of R.A.B. And Kreacher's story came as a bigger shock, so it doesn't really count.
As for the Snape and Lily angle, I remember having dismissed it out of hand for the better part of four or seven years because I thought it was too fanficlike, but it was still very much something I didn't expect.
