Rose / Scorpius: What do you think?

I'm a Rose and Scorpius shipper!!! I reckon Scorpius ended up in Gryffindor to his father's surprise, yet relief - the kids of ex-death-eaters kids might not be too nice to him. (I touch on this in my fan-fic "Letters Home from Albus Potter")

It seems unlikely, but I suppose it could happen - though I'm sure their parents wouldn't be too thrilled about it! In a way, it kind of would be a step in the right direction in terms of more inter-House friendships. But it would likely be difficult on Draco (and Harry, though maybe less so because he has the capacity to forgive).

I could see the two together - they'd be very cute together. Everyone keeps eluding to the Arthur/Lucius dynamic, but I'm more concerned for the Ron/Draco effect. They may seem civil... from afar, but just wait for the wedding.

I like the idea of Rose and Scorpius, but I could also imagine him with Lily and James as the over-protecting older brother (supported by his uncle Ron).

I agree. Why else would we have stuck with a series for so long where the primary weapon in the battle of good and evil is love? It sounds a bit hokey, but deep down, I think most Harry Potter fans are suckers for happy endings-- and good fantasy fiction.

I actually really like the idea of a Rose and Scorpius relationship. It would create some very interesting tension between the families (the whole forbidden love aspect), but it would also highlight some of the series' important aspects like backgrounds not mattering and uniting with others to fight for a common good.

It would be very cute, I think, for two of the largest (sort of) pureblood families that are on such opposite ends of the spectrum about their status to finally be united by one relationship and marraige.

I like this picture of The Next Generation. I like the placement of Rose, because it pulls her slightly from the herd of Weasley cousins and suggests an openess to seeing things differently then her parents.

yeah, i don't want to resort to incest here. Anyone who has read any VC Andrew book would know that she didn't mind if they were cousins or brother and sister. didn't stop her, but HP is more.... civilized, so yeah. I don't like the Rose/Albus thing. Can't you marry your cousin as long as it is your 7th cousin, or higher, or something like that?

I don't see them as a couple in the near future, just because I can't imagine them beyond being first years yet. However they might become friends. Although Ron is prejudiced, I doubt that Scorpius has been raised the same way as Draco had been. Scorpius probably won't be as arrogant and if he is open to friendship from a girl... I can see no reason why that won't happen. Rose might be a lot like Hermione, who has always been open to people.

Rose/Scorpius sounds like another version of Draco/Hermione to me.

I think Ron would be really irritated that his daughter would have a romantic interest in Draco's son. I'd imagine that Hermione would be a bit fair and ask her daughter about what she sees in her son.

Imagine Draco and Lucius's reactions. Rose is the daughter of a blood traitor and a muggleborn. Not exactly what the Malfoys would hope for.

I guess it's really jumping the gun on speculation but the notion did make me laugh. It would be a great twist in the Potter Saga if Rowlings resurrects the stories. It would be precluded by the shocking selection of Scorpius by the Sorting Hat being put into Gryffindor. Here Scorpius and Albus become the best of friends like Harry and Ron which sets up Rose to meet Scorpius.
