Re: The Actor's Thread...

Does doing theater count? I'm going on my third play this year, and they've all been musicals, yes, but I've had lines in all of them as well.

Re: The Actor's Thread...

Oooh, but what films? Maybe I've seen them. .

I want to be an actress so bad! A young one though, not while I'm an adult, I want to grow up being an actress, in movies, not theater.

Awesome!

What's your band called and what kind of music do you play?

As for myself, I'm not in a band, but I got a real good classic rock voice, love to write songs and am looking for able musicians to start one with.

Sorry. That was off-topic, but I had to ask.

A fantasy. It was based on a book (yet-to-be-published.) It has everywhere from Dracula to elves to wizards. I can't remember the plot, but Dracula was def. the main antagonist with all sorts of evil creatures at his beckon-call.

It sounds cool. I hate vampires and elves and stuff on their own, but all thrown together in the melting pot like that (kind of like HP), it sounds extremely cool.

I took a drama class in high school, but acting was never my thing.

However, to be fair, I was better than a couple of the young actors in HP.

Re: The Actor's Thread...

I'm trying to audition for an extra or a role in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (yeah, but I'm not sure what role...). I wanted to try for Loony *ahem* Luna Lovegood in OotP, but I'd missed the deadline....

I love musical theatre acting! The Dracula Rock Show is a really good one to perform, by Musicline, has anyone else ever seen it or been in it?

Re: The Actor's Thread...

You're only thirteen right? If you want to audition for HPDH, then you might have to look older than you are, unless you will be an extra that stands there be scared in the Ravenclaw tower or something, but you've also got to be from England, sorry if you are, then you might have it made! .

In order for me to try out for anything, I have to go clear out of state/ sometimes they have auditions in the actual state, but we don't have that much money to spend on traveling for something I may/may not get the part on.

My acting as of now? To be quiet honest, is better than what the little EW RG and DR could have done when they were little, but if I were their age now when they were that little, my acting would be just like theirs most likely, they, and I, would have, and were, really little.

I love acting, so far I've only done one commercial, it was really fun except for the lady who kept making me change my shirt lol but the makeup lady was nice. I love drama as well, its loads of fun.

Re: The Actor's Thread...

Wow, I wish I could do something like a commercial. But there aren't really good acting oppurtunities in my area. Every time something that requires teenagers comes up, I don't hear about it until they show nervous looking people waiting to audition on the news. I've only ever had small parts in school plays, but I love acting! I'm one of the most dedicated members of our schools drama club. Last year, for a play, the student director was like "we need a girl to be dead" and I volunteered, so I've been a dead girl covered in blood! Anyway, any advice on how to get into commercials at least? My family never travels anywhere, so big movie auditions are out of the question but I love acting and need to get a start!

I was an extra in 2:37 (it was rated R in Australia, not sure if it got released overseas or not) and in Hey, Hey, It's Esther Blueburger *cringe* which isnt out until next year (but I only did that becaues it was at my old school and heaps of my friends were doing it so I thought Id join in).

Oh and I did modelling for a while but since I guess Im not what a typical model is (Im very tall but average build and have dyed black hair and piercings ) so I decided to quit after only a few jobs. Its too tedious.
I wish Id continued doing theatre or done high school drama but oh well...

My band is called Grace and Decay. We're a 5 piece all girl industrial metal, electronic kind of band. I play guitar and synth.

Haha how come? I was too a few years ago. And I was interviewed at a political rally for radio a few years ago bit of a shock for my dad when he heard me on the 5pm news, I was supposed to be at school :worried:

Re: The Actor's Thread...

Because it was the hometown news. It was for our mayor, . I don't think it ever made anything big, . I gave a speech for her and I was like eight??? Yeah, 8, . There aren't any acting opertunities here at all! So it sucks, and I really really want to be an actress! Not even a bloody comercial to start out with, .
