![]() También la conjugación de saber para la forma de "yo" es "sé." Me olvido traduce a "I forget." La Patente de corso era un viejo documento histórico que permitió su proprietario a atacar naciones enemigas.

The idea of "se me olvidó" instead of "yo olvido" or "yo olvidé" is that it implies that the fault belongs to the object and that you have no fault in forgetting the object. For example, "Se me olvidó el cuaderno" translates to "The notebook was forgotten to me." Hope that helps! ![]()

Re: Spanish
You said "parabla." The word for word is not parabla, but is palabra. The r and the l are switched.

En la página que os decía es una especie de broma: ese escritor publicó un libro recopilando sus artículos y el título fue precisamente Patente de Corso (le encantan las novelas de piratas y barcos, y además la mayoría de sus artículos son críticos o satíricos). I don't know the exact translation of Patente de Corso, but it was the document through which corsairs were authorized by their governments to attack any ship belonging to an enemy nation (something like legal piracy). In the site I told you, it's a kind of joke: that writer published a book compiling many of his articles and the title was precisely Patente de Corso (he's a bloke that loves pirates and ship novels, and, besides, most of his articles are critical or satirical)

Re: Spanish
Hola!
I'm in 8th grade, so I've been taking Spanish for...6 years. Next year when we get to high school, pretty much everyone I know wants to learn a different language. But, wouldn't it be easier to just take the language you've been learning for 6 years, instead of trying to learn a whole new one? I think I'm the only one in my school that thinks that. My sister took French and high school, but the class was too hard for her when she got to college, so she switched back to spanish. (I'm not a good speller when I don't have the vocab sheet next to me )Me llamo Laurie. Me gusta leer, dibujar, ver una pelicula, y usar la computadora. Yo soy artistica, perezzosa (I know I spelled that wrong ) a veces, amable, joven, y alta. Yeah, and I would attempt my hair and eyes, but we just got that vocab sheet today, and we're not done going over it yet. I think it's "tengo pelo rubio obscuro" but I'm not sure.

I assume "rubio obscuro" means dirty/dark blonde? No sé. ¿Qué color son tus ojos? ¿Marrones, azules, verdes? Mis ojos son marrones y verdes...Son muy verdes a veces, y a veces son marrones. ¿Cómo se dice "hazel" en español?

Re: Spanish
This doesn't really make sense. "Tu no debes practicar tambien" means, "You should not practice also. Am I incorrect in my translations, or am I not getting your meaning?

Re: Spanish
Esto es muy gracioso.
Mi primer idioma es español y tuve que pensar y buscar que era "hazel" en español. En Puerto Rico normalmente decimos "hazel" y ya. Muy mal de nuestra parte. Pero si, la traducción correcta es avellanos. This is really funny. My first language is spanish and I had to think and look for what is "hazel" in spanish In Puerto Rico, we normally say "hazel" and lea. Really bad from our part. But yeah, the correct translation is "avellanos".Quote:
![]() About "puedes ver"? ---> If you want to say "Can you tell?" that could do the trick. You can also say "te fijas?" o "te das cuenta?" o "te diste cuenta?". The direct translation DOES sound a bit weird, But I got what you meant, so that's good!
