I must be getting callous as I watch this show--I'm SHOCKED (yeah, in caps) that anyone is surprised or upset that Noah executed Ivan. As I said before--he's a Company true believer and we've seen that the Company has lost its way completely (reviving Sylar, trying to weaponize the virus and experimenting on Heroes to test its potency). I mean, we now find out that the combination of the twins' dark power and the virus it wipes out 93% of the world's population--a pandemic global killer. I mean this is ultimate nightmare time. This guy would report Noah in a second and that means pretty much the end of life, not just the end of hiding. He did it to protect his family, and this guy Ivan, he's as bad as Eric Roberts.

Based on what we know so far (and I might be misinterpreting, but I don't think so), Adam Monroe is good, not evil.

Flamelda and DancingMaenid---You're serious about this? Really? WHY? Noah's mentor is Company to the bone. He's either completely misinformed about the Company's current mission (as demonstrated by Bob trying to use Monica as a guinea pig for a hybrid virus AND the decision to save Sylar for further use) or he's flat-out lying and he's at least as much of a threat as someone like Eric Roberts' character. The threat was creative and motivated--the murder was necessary, as we've seen both from Mohinder's and Peter's perspective. The means don't need to be justified by the ends here, they're laudable in themselves. Case closed, end of discussion.

I'm not going to get into my beliefs too much here, but I believe that torture is nearly always wrong, regardless of the reasons or whether it's psychological or physical, so I can't justify Noah's actions. I'm also unconvinced that they were necessary for the end result.

Well, I think of it this way. Anyone who's trying to take the Company down is going to be viewed as a Big Bad by the Company, so it's subjective, isn't it?

I'm thinking Bob did give Monica a shot of the virus. It sounds like something he'd do. Well, we'll have to wait until next week to find out. As for Noah's actions, I can't say I condone them, but he did it to protect Claire. He knew that if Ivan stayed alive, his family wouldn't be safe. It's as simple as that.

I didn't notice the woman in that painting. Elle looks a lot like Claire. We didn't see her in this ep, but I'm hoping that we see her again and get to know more about her.

Heh, I hate to say this, because I do like the style of the paintings, but it's really hard for me to tell who's who in them. I don't think anyone looks like what they look like in real life! Or live-action TV-life, or whatever.

And yeah, I have a bad feeling about Bob and Monica. That whole thing was just too suspicious.

About Noah --->
I'm going to side with firebolt57 on this one! I love Noah's character. I believe that without him this show wouldn't be as interesting.

I'm a bit shocked myself, jordmundt6., and I basically think on the same lines as katsumi.
I think Noah is the same person he was when he was working for the Company. HRG IS Noah still. Now he has channeled his goal, he has direction, he is focus on keeping his family safe. He truly believes that this won't happen until the Company doesn't exist. Of course he will go to the extremes to get it done! That's how he works and IMO, that's what makes him interesting and one of the best characters. I don't think Noah thinks that he is better that the Company, leave that to Mohinder. He just want his family safe. Done. And of course, as a side effect this would benefit other Heroes.
Yes, he made a pretty cold murder of this Ivan guy, but I agree that there were very little options. That's not justifying him, but I don't see what else he could've done for the reasons he gave to this Ivan.
Which character in this series hasn't made a questionable, morally conflicted decision? Micah, maybe Peter, Hiro (although he just screwed the space-time continuum ) I can't think of anyone else, really.

About The Company --->
I really think the writers are trying to make us question our thoughts about the Company, like kind of showing us one reformed good side, only to screw with our minds. I'm pretty sure that at the end of this season the Company will be the same Company it was on Season 1. I refuse to trust them.
Mohinder is being kind of naive. Will Nikki/Jessica be on Mohinder's side or the Company's? Mohinder is in trouble. I wouldn't like a partner with a total kick butt split personality ...

Maya/Alejandro/Gabriel --->

Sylar is sick, man! He is so interesting too. He gets all freaky and manages to look sexy cool while doing all those nasty things. Alejandro has to grow a backbone or he'll be done in a second. Maya needs get over herself.

Ha! That one with a man pointing a gun ... that guy looked like Dr. House for a second, Who is that man? any hints on Adam?

In season 1, if you watch the DVDs with the deleted scenes, there's a deleted scene where Nathan, his mom & his wife are talking about someone wanting him to do a paternity test...

We will have to see if no one else in the Company gave the injection to Monica. I think The Company is showing Mohinder what he wants to see. We'll see.

Nice still, I think that looks like Nathan. The gal in the cage looked like Nikki. The girl against the wall could have been either Elle or Claire--there's too many cute young blondes in the series to tell them all apart on the artwork--ah, well.

I don't share the approval of Sylar, he's a worthless little viper with a Napoleon complex who can't deal with being defanged.

Oh, I don't dislike Noah. I've found him very interesting from day one, and argued from the start that he would end up being more of an ambigious goody than a die-hard baddy. I just don't endorse his actions, or think that he's a very "nice" character. Even though I think his intentions are good, he'll go to morally ambigous lengths to achieve them. For instance, he seemed to be of the opinion that he was doing a good thing when he had the Haitian wipe the memory of that guy who attacked Claire (I remember him telling the kid that he was giving him a chance to be a better person, or something), but there was some discussion about whether that was really a justified, good thing to do. And his departure from the Company seems to be largely about protecting Claire, rather than a great moral obligation to protect everyone. I like him a lot, but as a character who's interesting and has a lot of depth, not as something whom I think is a sparkling individual.

I like Sylar in a similar way. I think he's evil, and don't like him as a person but at the same time, he's getting more and more interesting to me (and I like the dynamic with him and Maya), so I like him as a fictional character.

You're great. Thanks for posting that. I keep forgetting to check out that site. I never got a good luck at most of the paintings, so that's handy. The man with the gun seems to have a bandage on his nose.

Heh, I can tell I've been thinking about Heroes lately. I had a dream last night that the Company kidnapped all these people and were holding them on this island. One of the kidnapees was this baby Peter had had with another hero. All the other heroes were going to the island to rescue someone, but Peter and the baby's mother were missing, so I went to rescue the baby. I asked the Company people if I could hold the baby for a minute, and they just handed her over, and I escaped. But then I realized it was my job to take care of the baby while Peter was gone, and bought all this baby stuff for my house.

I'm fresh from watching the last episode. As a Peter Petrelli fan girl, I feel so bad for Peter . If only he could remember everything...hopefully Adam will help him...

Sylar...well it's so hard to hate him when he has such a gorgeous evil face! But, crikey, he's pure evil. I felt so bad for Alexandro, when his sister is taking sides with Sylar.

And also, I think Bob gave Monica the injection regardless of what Mohinder said. And Nikki...well, I think she's more Jessica now...

And West - lets face it, what he and Claire planned was silly. They could have so easily got caught and Claire's cover could have been blown. I'm still sure that there's more to him than meets the eye. We don't actually know that much about him as a person...and neither does Claire.
