Yeah, I know. I forgot about Peter painting too. I understand what you are saying though, but we really don't see the power that much now ... Season 2 had the main paintings already finished ... then Peter painted in Ireland ... Oh! Wait. Maybe that is why I can't remember. I have consciously erased that lame storyline from my mind.

I was really bother by Wes' flying last season. But really, Nathan should get over his delusions and start flying ASAP. What is he doing with his feet always on the ground? And then Adam Monroe has Claire's regeneration power. But I'll admit, I will miss the super strength. Still, there's so much they can come up with, it is of no use the wash out the powers. I agree.

Another thing about Sylar: That new power that Angela "fed him" (shudders), I think it will come handy in the "formula" plot.

About Niki/Tracy ... clones? Interesting. But we must not forget Niki's twin, Jessica. Is there an army of Nikis lookalikes running around the world? Man, it seems like Ali Larter could have a job for a long time.

Yeah. I was really into the paintings in season 1. I thought they were so cool and I was always trying to analyze what they could mean. But I felt like they were just an afterthought in season 2. They showed them only fleetingly and I never really got a good look at them. Season 3 is kind of the same thing. I want to see what's really there, but the paintings just flash by.

Except, Mohinder is even more of an idiot than anyone could have predicted. Also, FuturePeter from Season 1 was just as blind and stupid as current FuturePeter--that's how Sylar was able to masquerade as Nathan for so long without a blip.

Sylar was the Good Humor man, pretending to be that straight-laced FBI guy.

I originally mentioned that NewBlonde might be Jessica--but Nikki actually SAW Jessica die. I know death is mutable on this show, but they're ditching first principles and that's always dangerous (especially in a relaunch).

is anyone getting a little annoyed by the amount of people with duplicate powers? it just seems like theres atleast two of everthing (excluding peter and sylar cause they kinda can pick up others along the way) I wish they were a bit more original or at the very least, did stuff that was similar with slight differences. I feel like with some of the characters they said oops we killed off this guy with that power but then later on decided they needed that power, so they make someone else with it.

Two people who can heal: (well now 4, when you add Peter and Sylar). Two mind-readers (Parkman and his dad, plus Peter). Two people who can freeze things: Tracy and whoever Sylar killed to get that ability ().
Have I missed any? (Adding to the people who can fly, the people who can paint the future, and the people who can manipulate fire).

Parkman and his dad have father-to-son passdown. That doesn't bug me all that much. Besides Papa Parkman isn't so much a mind reader as a mind manipulator (a skill his son has not and may never master).

Aren't there two chillers--Nikki's clone and Sylar's victim from the pilot. There are two locators, but Molly locates people and dead vitamin supplement locates and remembers things (which is not the same as Charlie's photographic memory, but close).

Two people can heal themselves (Adam/Sark and Claire), but only Linderman can heal others with touch.

About Claire--with the history of Adam, shouldn't they have been aware that immortality might be rolling down the mountain for her?

Actually, Parkman's power is developing. He was able to insert thought into people's minds in season 2, something he could not do in season 1. He's no nightmare man yet, but he can manipulate people's decisions.

I think you got most of them but thats still a lot of duplicates. I guess i just woulda like to have seen more variety or more of a check and balance system like in x-men where you get fire/ice etc.... but even the two most over powered of the heroes are able to keep each other in check peter and sylar, in essence are the same and have similar powers, they just have different ways of absorbing new powers.

So what do we think of tonight's eppy? I, for one, have brain overload. There was a lot to absorb in that. And a lot of time jumps. I need to rewatch it in order to comment coherently. But for now, I have two things--

Yay!!! Adam/Julian Sark is back! So how do non-Alias fans feel about Adam? You guys dislike him, right? I just can't separate my Alias love for David Anders from this Adam character. I'm so excited he's back!

Also, in the previews for next week, it looks like (by the shock on Angela's face) Mr. Petrelli returns. At least, that's my prediction.

I liked this episode more than last week's.

Adam is back! I don't dislike him, but I think he is interesting as a character. I always knew he'd come back and I'm interested in the role he'll play in the future. I love his reaction when he sees Hiro.

I was happy at first that we got to see idealistic!Peter back. But now he's just like Sylar. Eeek. He was willing to kill Nathan (again!) because of his newfound power. Any ideas on what this means?

So it's Sylar's ability to understand clockwork that makes him so hungry for more powers? Well, that's interesting. I don't want that to be an excuse for Sylar's behavior, though. It would make him less of a villain, too.

Finally Hiro came to his senses! I hated that he was willing to treat Ando horribly based on the future. For all Hiro knew, he was the villain and Ando was saving the world.

Other than that, I don't have much to say. Mohinder is becoming disgusting, Tracy is hooking up with Nathan just like Nikki did, and Elle has been missing .

Yeah, Adam's reaction was hilarious! Can't wait to see what he's going to do. Somehow he's supposed to be the key to saving the world from these abilities? It will be interesting to see how that plays out.

I thought that his ability is to understand variables and outcomes--to understand how things work. His ability first manifested itself in his understanding of time pieces. But it can apply to much more than that, which is why it's supposed to help Peter save the world--he'll be able to understand everyone's motives, all the variables, their potential outcomes, and thus, find the right course of action to save the world. That's how I understood it, at least.

I find the Tracy/Nathan thing boring. Tracy is really no different from Nikki. She's got a different power and does not have Micah to worry about, but she's just as weak and simpering as Nikki was. Plus, the Tracy/Nathan thing feels recycled.

I agree that Mohinder is becoming disgusting, but I think that's better than him being stupid and gullible like he was last season. I basically wrote him off last season, so I'm a bit grateful for the change. He's no longer recognizable as the same character, but he's at least more interesting. Maybe he'll learn from this and return to the old Mohinder we liked (after morally-ambiguous Peter saves the world by preventing the formula from getting made and somehow curing Mohinder).

So, has anyone else noticed that they are making all the characters opposites of what they were? Mohinder is now some rage-aholic human fly. Sylar may become a doting father who shuns his ability. Peter seems to be becoming a villain now and in the future. Claire is a bitter murderous shell of what she used to be. I'm sure I could go on and on. What gives?

Yeah, last night's episode was so all over the place that I found myself laughing out loud saying, "What the hell?" every time they went to commercial break.

Was it just me, or did that bizarro German doctor tell Tracy that the identical triplets' names were Niki, Tracy, and Barbara? I'll have to watch it again, but I could have sworn he said "Barbara." And if so, what the heck happened to Jessica and who the heck is Barbara???


The Mohinder/Fly thing is just disgusting. I hope they put a stop to that SOON. Sendhil is far too hot to go oozy and warty, regardless of how irritating Mohinder's character has been lately. Let's put a stop to the uglification of one of our resident hotties, shall we?

I'm so excited that Adam is back. And Sylar will be super dad!

The rest of the episode was a little blah. The future was bleak as usual, heroes become villains and vice versa, Mohinder is doing something stupid, Matt finds himself in a mess he didn't create and Peter, well...same old, same old.

Does anyone else think that Milo Ventimiglia has only one facial expression?

Yeah, I agree with freelanzter. Sylar's abilities is understanding how things work in general and being able to duplicate it. Ever wonder how Sylar stole the powers from other Heroes? For a while people thought that he ate their brains. But as he told Claire, "That's disgusting" (Actually, those were the writers making fun of us. Tee Hee!) Anyway, he opened Claire's skull and saw how her brain worked in order for her to have the regeneration power. He was able to "copy" it and now he can regenerate.

I think that the hunger Sylar is talking about is just something like extreme curiosity. By having his power (able to see how things work), he can help but to figure out HOW things work! It is something he has to learn to control or otherwise he gets completely psycho on people, and thing, where he MUST KNOW how they function. Sylar came to knew of his power while doing clockwork (which was his adopted father's profession). But as freelanzter said, it definitely goes beyond that.

Interesting how Peter gets this ability. Maybe this is why everyone in the future thinks he is a killer. Peter is like a ball of confusion in any timeline. He keeps trying to save the world and all I keep seeing is how he keeps making mistakes. It's like he can get away from it.

Oh! I have to admit that Sylar has been my favorite character so far this Season. I was so excited to see him as a dad and actually naming his son NOAH! OMG! I almost had a heart attack. That was amazing. What the hell could've happened for it to be that way in the future? So interesting. Seems like Angela knows what she's talking about regarding Sylar.

I was so into the circumstances of that scene. Daddy Gabriel with a child named Noah, playing with Mr. Muggles *dream* ... and then ... BAM!

Couldn't agree more. Thought I'm not sure I'd ever liked Mohinder that much. If I did, I don't really remember. But calling him a "rage-aholic human fly" as you did sounds cool enough!

Now that you mention the formula, who is after it?
I though Mohinder was to blame for the future, but we saw that he actually got the formula wrong. So who wants this to happen?

Another great question. Why is Gabriel living in her home? Why is his child named Noah? Seems like HRG died, probably while working with Sylar (which is what Claire meant in saying he took everything from her), and Sylar names his son after Noah. But why's he living there and taking care of Mr. Muggles? Noah's mom can't be . . . Mrs. Bennet?!? EW!!! But seriously, who is little Noah's mom? And how old do you think he looked there? It was four years in the future. That child looked at least three to me, even four.

I honestly thought that the child is named Noah, because Claire is the mother. But then when Claire stormed in didn't care about the child it's clear that she's not. And then are they somehow related anyway, or not.

Wow! So much to say on this episode!! I loved it!

First off, when Peter walked in to Sylar as SuperDad! I was shocked. It was so cute!! I couldn't help it, I loved seeing Sylar like that. It was so weird when he embraced Peter like the brothers they are! Bizarre!

I am, however, extremely disappointed that Peter now has Sylar's ability. I had always thought the reason we never saw Peter use Sylar's power was because their powers were so similar and he didn't need to. I love Peter, but making him just like Sylar..... Seems like we'll never get the showdown between the 2 superpowers that we so desperately want. I liked it when Peter was too noble and Sylar was too evil, but now that they are becoming each other.... I just don't like it. I don't want to see present!Peter fall too far.

Anyways, I also agree that Mohinder is just disgusting. He's reminding me of X-men, when that one guy melts. Blech...! But really, I can't see where Mohinder's story line is going to go. First he had super strength...then the human fly as freelantzer said, and now he's super aggressive. I hope we will one day see Mohinder return to what he once was, but this may have changed him to drastically.

Meanwhile, what is going on in New Orleans? Have they written out Micah and his cousin (...Monica, was it?) What about Elle? What's going on with them?

On a more positive note, I was relieved that Hiro finally acknowledged how badly he was treating Ando. Finally! And that they dug up Adam! I knew he was coming back. And his reaction... Priceless! Although, I was surprised that he said "Hiro"; I was half-expecting him to say something like "Hello Carp" or something like that.

I noticed this too. Seriously, what gives? I feel like I can't trust any of my favorites anymore because they are no longer the people that I fell in love with in season 1. I hope the writers don't continue to insist on this because if this keeps up...if I can't connect with my favorites anymore, I may find that I don't love this show as much as I used to.
