I think these attributes represent me:

Boars are self-reliant, very sociable, dependable,and extremely determined. Boars are peace lovers and don't hold grudges. They hate arguments, tense situations, and try to bring both sides together.

I don't hate arguments or tense situations though...I can hold my own, but I have been known to play peacekeeper many times.

Once Boars arrive at a decision nothing stops them. Of course, before they reach that decision they weigh all the pros and cons.

Meh...the whole Naive part is not true of me now, but when I was younger it was (which is probably why it isn't true anymore...you live you learn ) I have no problem telling people no, but I usually feel guilty for it later

Boars will always be looking for ways to work off all their extra energy. They work and play hard. Even if they lose everything, Boars manage to bounce back. Their life path supply them with all they need. The Chinese believe Boars own the Horn of Plenty.

I think that according to the zodiac chart or maybe it is my Zodiac, I am supposed to hold a grudge, so that tells you how imprecise both forms of astrology are.

Well I don't believe in Astrology at all, but why not post mine too?

Dragon, more specifically the Earth Dragon with the plus sign next to it.

2. Do you think this animal accurately represents you and why or why not?

As I said above, I don't believe in Astrology at all. There are things in the Dragon thing that are me to a tee...but there are things in each animal that are me to a tee. There are also things that aren't me at all. I think its just a bunch of guesswork, and I don't take it as anything other than a bit of fun.

It is next to impossible to win an argument with Dragon people.They intimidate anyone who challenges them. Once you arouse their anger, they keep after you for a very long time.

This is true about me...but only when arguing with my dad or older sister. Those two bring out my stubborn side. With other people I usually let them "win" the argument, even when I know I am right.

Dragons are extremely loyal to friends and family. When really needed they always come to the rescue.

This is true too. I am the only one allowed to criticize my sisters...if my parents start in I immediately am on the defensive. I get mad when other people criticize them because no one knows them as well as me...therefore, only I have the right to do that!

Not being secretive themselves, they can't be expected to keep a confidence for long;

I am secretive myself a bit...but it's true I can't keep another person's secret for long.

In romance, Dragons are seldom the losers and are usually the ones breaking hearts.

Ha! I repeat, HA! I have yet to win in romance.

In spite of being overly emotional, a Dragon is not sentimental or even romantic. It is hard for them to hide their feelings. They don't even try.

I am not overly emotional...or at least I don't not hide my feelings. They are well hidden. And I am sentimental and Romantic...this one is completely backwards.

That's all for now cause I'm sick of typing. I really don't believe in this stuff but it is fun to read about it and not the similarites and differences.

Sheep are the good samaritans of the Chinese zodiac. They are gentle mannered and on the shy side. Being very sincere they are easily taken by a sob story. Sheep people are compassionate,understanding of others' faults, and quick to forgive.

Sheep never come right out and discuss what's bothering them. You pry it out of them bit by bit. When all else fails, yell at them, and bang things around. They should be impressed and might unfold all their secret woes; then, you can clear the air. The Sheep are family people. They never forget anyone's birthday, and you had better not forget theirs! Sheep worry, too. They want others to cheer them up and tell them everything will be okay.

Romance is a part of the Sheep's being. Moonlight and roses, soft music and candlelight will get them every time. They tend to view the world through rose-colored glasses. Sheep do not usually have to work hard. Good things just happen naturally. They need bright, airy surroundings and excel in creative fields. Appreciation of their talents make Sheep glow, and with encouragement, they can go far in life.

I guess the sheep aspect is almost spot on. I'm creative, love romance, hate displeasing anyone and prefer to take tasks at my own pace.

The metal aspect (Fixity, strength of will, fluency of speech), I guess would represent me in a good way. I'm a very strong willed person However, metal would deviate from my zodiac sign Virgo, which is primarily an Earth sign.

Yep it does, since I am a loyal and sincere person, for the most part and I'm kind as well.

Well, the fact that they tend to show what person is like on the outside and on the inside, for one thing. They let the person see what they're like, so to speak.

Somewhat, Some of the mood swings don't fit... But then again, maybe they do... The quick emotions doesn't either, I show no emotion at all. Though the part about insulting with expertise is about right... I never insult people, or try not to, but I can quite efficiently. LOL... The other one I read the other day was a more accurate picture of me. Which seems to be wrong, it said I was a Boar, which isn't off by much, I think only a few weeks... Ah well...

Not sure.

4. Do you prefer this branch over others and why?
Depends on my mood and which one gives me the best outlook.


On a side note, the other one, had a yearly prediction for the dog that has been about spot on for me so far... Which sucks because it's been a bad year so far.

Most of it is pretty much on target I´d say... but then again, that may just be because the Western sign of the Capricorn is its counterpart and is ascribed most of the same basic traits as well. (I don´t have any preference, the Western and Chinese horoscopes seem to complement each other IMHO.)

My brother is a Cancer/Fire Snake (snakes and oxen are usually said to get along well, but water and fire, not so much... boy were we at odds whe we still had to share a room at our parents´ home! ), my best friend is a Leo/Metal Dog (dogs and oxen are said to have it difficult, but metal and water do get along fine), my last boyfriend was a Scorpio/Metal Rat (almost a perfect match, and indeed we´re still friends), and my favourite flatmate - though Scorpio too - was a Water Ox like me. Needless to say that we got along nicely from the outset. Hard-working and unlikely to be "lazy or careless" about house-cleaning or work - nor about to accept laziness or carelessness from someone else -, honest, reliable and trustworthy, few but close friendships that are way more than just skin-deep, a "heart of gold" gladly willing to help a friend in need... these are all traits that I´d instantly ascribe to him, but reading this text on Oxen I´m realizing that it actually does describe both of us, which may be why we agreed with each other on so many points.
