I think dogs are better because they are great to talk to about anything and react to you. I know all of my dogs react when I tell them stuff.

I've been a dog owner for most of my life and have had a few cats along the way. In my opinion, dogs are far more superior than cats in loyalty and personality. The primary thing I've noticed between dogs and cats is that dogs are very loyal to their owners and they will protect you when they sense danger. I can't imagine a cat ever doing the same.

Here is my fiancée's dog, who I guess is my dog as well now too. His name is Milo and for reasons best known to my fiancée, he is dressed up as a bumblebee.

I had a black lab named Angel. She was always so hyper and happy, and now the house just seems so mellow. We had to put her down because she had this mouth cancer. That was a few months ago. I have another dog named Dixie and she's such a sweetheart and probably the opposite of Angel, but they got along so well together.

I had an idea.....wouldn't it be funny if I bought a black cat and named him Sirius? Lol.

I agree Snapes_Girl. I think dogs are more loving. I live in an apartment now that does not allow pets. I thought when I got my own place I would get a puppy, but unfortunately the apartment situation doesn't allow it.

Since I posted this we got another dog, his name is Kato (My mom and I toyed with naming him Sirius) , and he's a little over a year old. He has definitely made the house more lively than ever. Unfortunately though, we had to put Dixie down on Friday October 12th, 2012. She was really sick and could barely even walk anymore. I'm really going to miss her, she was the perfect dog.
