Re: Best little-used characters?

Was it Ernie Macmillan? The pompus Hufflepuff guy? He always gave me a chuckle when he had a scene.

And Kingsley as well, for some reason I liked him, the cool and calm guy whos actually really powerful.

Oliver Wood, definitely. His obsession with Quidditch was admirable and funny.

Lee Jordan, too. I loved his commentating "...And she still won't go out with me!"

Andromeda Tonks- she was a Slytherin from the Black Family and she married a muggleborn! I really want to know more about her.

For some reason, I always pictured Kingsley looking like Ving Rhames.

I agree. If I remember correctly, he was the only child of a Death Eater mentioned that didn't hang around with Draco all the time. I wonder what that deleted scene with Draco at Malfoy Manor was about.
I also thought that the ending of OoTP would signal him having a bigger role in the last two books.

He probably had a bit of a grudge against Harry, though, because his father was badly injured in the DoM. I think this is why he is whispering rudely with Malfoy at the end of the book.

and like you pointed out, he isn't mentioned again. I wonder why he didn't make an appearance in the last two books?

Re: Best little-used characters?

I guess Oliver Wood appeared a lot in the first three books, but I really like him. There's just something cool about Kingsley too.

If Charlie counts as a little-ued character, then he's on my list. I love the whole Weasley family.

Re: Best little-used characters?

Lee Jordan has got to be one of my favorite little-used characters. His commentaries for the games are just so entertaining.
Oliver Wood is brilliant, too. His strive to a Quidditch game is amazing.

Re: Best little-used characters?

I was thinking about making a thread like this, but I guess I was beaten to it.

I loved Ernie MacMillan, he always entertained me, (especially his little lines in OotP, especially on the train ride back). I also really liked Lee Jordan, always a fun character.

Now, on the bad side, as my name infers (and my sig reinforces), Antonin Dolohov. No, I don't think it was cool that he killed Lupin, but I couldn't help but enjoy reading about him, and I was very interested in his mini back story, not only that, but he always seemed to be a great duelist (He's beaten the Prewetts, Mad Eye, and Lupin).

Re: Best little-used characters?

I would definately agree with Lee Jordan, I hope they keep the character in for the Potterwatch parts of DH, but we'll see.

Re: Best little-used characters?

wouldn't it be cool if Lee created his own radio station, kind of like potterwatch, but for different stuff instead

I totally agree, LOVED Lee. Also, Cormac Mclaggen was amusingly bigheaded and it was hilarious to watch Hermione "escape" from him during Slughorn's Christmas party.

LOVED the confusion caused by a certain Mark Evans. Haha, I was highly amused.

And how could we ever forget Angelina Johnson? That girl seemed SO COOL!

Justin Flinch Fletchy and Zacharias Smith were both annoying pieces of poop, but they made it funny anyway.

Melinda Bobbin and Zabini, of course, made the Harry and the potters song, "Slugclub" HILARIOUS, so we can't forget them!

And last but certainly not least, fancy a snog with Roger Davies?

Re: Best little-used characters?

I liked Ludo Bagman a lot. I guess he'd count as a tertiary red-herring type character rather than little-used, but whatever. I'm glad we didn't see him post-Goblet, but the little mentions were nice.

And Lee Jordan of course. There could have been a great scene between he and George after the battle... too bad we got that awful epilogue instead.

Yeah I so wanted to see george after the battle. And why did jkr say ron helped out george with the joke shop? Didn't george have Lee who atleast had the same talent as fred and george for joke items.. what does ron know?

Re: Best little-used characters?

Yeah, I would agree that Lee Jordan would know more than Ron about jokes. But I'm sure Ron did know some stuff. After all, he lived with his brothers, so he had to know some things.

I would've loved to see more background on Lee, Susan, Hannah, Angelina, and Oliver Wood. I also really liked Stan Shunpike and Peeves. We never know much about old Peevsie.
