I'm a big fan of this show. I watch way too much television anyway.

Does anyone see the Luna-Bones correlation? Maybe I'm comparing apples and oranges; but they are both awkward in social situations, are intelligent, and very loyal to friends.

Kind of. They're both two very loyal, yet awkward people. Which is ok with me... as long as they're nice, in the end -- that's what really matters to me .

Do you have a favorite episode?

Mine's the one where Booth and Brennan were in Las Vegas and had to pretend to be together ...

I liked the one where Booth had to escape with his army buddy from the ship/bomb. That or any of the real forensic work :P

I read the sample of Deja Dead and it was well-written as well as interesting. What's really interesting is that it's written from Tempe's POV, so we get some insight into her thoughts. But it makes it weird because there's no one to play off of her; at least in the sample chapters I got.

I think I'll get the whole book some time down the road and read it. For right now, I've got way too much in my TBR pile and I have to whittle that down before buying any more books.

LOVE Bones and all of the gang. Booth is sooooooo hot. I'm sorry that they worked Zack out. He's adorable. I love Angie. She's such a free spirit.

Both Luna and Temperance are fiercely loyal and socially awkward--but their awkwardness stems from opposite poles. Luna is an inquisitive esoteric nature-loving tabloid child. Tempie is all science to the exclusion of most things social. They might meet in a study of animals, but Temperance would be uncomfortable with how irrationally Luna acted. I think Angela would think Luna was a trip--Temperance's isolation is more like Hermione's initial bookish isolation--but I can see connections to both.

Recently I've been enjoying this show more and more. However, I have absolutely no sense of the chronology since I just watch the reruns. For instance, I saw an episode where Hodgins and Angela were going to get married, but then they couldn't because Angela was already legally married (and I can't remember if they ended up eloping or not). But then I've seen episodes where they had broken up, and I'm not sure if that happened after or before (where they would have gotten back together). Also, they've had several other interns instead of Zack on some of the shows (like Mr. Nigel Murry). From what MinervasCat says, it sounds like Zack was on for a while and then left.

I know how that is, Remus. Dear TNT doesn't always show them in chonological order -- so it's pretty easy to get lost in terms of that.

They don't -- due to that dear guy... and the lawyer. And I'm not sure of what's going to happen next in terms of things. Angela ended up being bisexual -- and then deciding to give Hodgins a second chance... but only after get stuff sorted out with her... gawd... way to complicate things -- TPTB .

... and he ended up being a serial killers apprentice... so that could explain all of different interns. That's my best guess there.

They stayed together and pursued a divorce from the first marriage so they could get married. But they eventually decided to break up--mutual decision. They are still broken up but have amazing chemistry together. I hope they'll get back together. Fawkes, I don't remember Angela giving him a "second chance." I thought they are just friends right now. They both have tried dating other people (Angela is now trying celibacy). I hope they get back together, but I don't know if they will.

Yeah, that is a very controversial move by the writers.

The rotating interns were last season--Tempe hasn't permanently replaced Zach, but is trying different people out. I don't know if that's going to continue, or if she'll let go of Zach and decide on a replacement. Personally, I like Mr. Nigel-Murray.

It’ll be the first time that Brennan realizes that being totally rational about something isn’t necessarily being a good friend. And every time she has done that in the past, Angela has come around and excused Brennan’s behavior. This time, if they’re friendship is to be maintained, Brennan has to take a step toward the irrational.”

I love Bones. Took me quite a while to get into it but now it's one of my favourite shows on tv. And after rewatching it I also love the earlier season that I had a little trouble (meaning just liked not loved) with from the start. Maybe some of the problems I had with it was because I was used to seeing David (Booth) as a vampire (8 seasons) so it took some getting used to.

Wasn't too fond of the last episode (season 4 finale) even if it had it's moments. But eagerly looking forward to next season.

I didn't realize Angel was on for eight seasons. The only reason I watch it now and then is David Boreanaz. He shows the same gift for humor as he does on Bones.

It did take some getting used to. It was weird seeing him smile at first. But now when I watch Angel, I miss the goofy side that he brings to Bones.

Heck yea they do . That's why I love the relationship itself.

Interesting... I'm definitely interested in this upcoming season. And here's to hoping that they won't mess things up.

Okay, clearly Hanson's not dumb enough to have Angela pull a Cam--so, who would Angela get involved with that isn't Booth but would put a strain on Angela's relationship with Brennan? Weird. Couldn't possibly be Sweets (he's just not attractive enough, interesting enough, or adventurous enough) or Russ (he's in a committed relationship). Any thoughts?

is what I have to say here. What the? is the second thing... are they having her do the whole bi-thing again... I'm not too thrilled if they are -- not that I have anything against it... I'm just a HUGE Angela and Hodgins shipper... and I'm tired of all of the you-know-what when it comes down to things...

I don't really have a guess here on this one -- so I guess it'll be a wait and see thing when it comes down to things...

So, the premiere was tonight--and the interpersonal stuff was cool.

Booth getting warned by two people who don't know Brennan that well that she's exceptionally fragile, so be VERY sure about feelings before expressing them was a little weird. Almost like they were channeling the reaction to that House/Cameron date from Season 1 of House...except that Angela wasn't one of the people warning Booth off.

It's good that that alternate universe was a shared co-creative experience between Booth's fractured imagination and Brennan's authorship.

I missed the season ender, so it was good that they sort of explained what happened.

I really enjoyed this one. It's the first time I've seen an original episode of Bones. I'll definitely be watching every Thursday.

It does have a lot to offer. I really hope Booth gets back to hating clowns so they don't have an out concerning his feelings at the end of THIS season--"oh, it was all chemical and a reaction to the anesthetic...him liking clowns was supposed to be the clue that his new view of Brennan was transitory." If they go that route, there'll be an even bigger fuss than when they botched this last season ender.
