n8squared,I'm not a fan of Albert Haynesworth, and the move, but I might like him a little better if he behaves, and helps my team win.

A little suspicious...
anyways, why do u not like darrelle revis, santonio holmes, and plaxico burress?
none of them have really done much to make people dislike them?

Pottermore, I don't like Plax because he had guns. Don't like Revis because he's a trash talker, selfish.Don't like Holmes because he makes my teams lose. Also,I like those teams for two reasons,no selfish worthless palyers(We'll see about Haynesworth)and the geography of the teams. I kind of like the Panthers and there're horrible 1-15!

Woah! An NFL thread! How did I not know this was here!

My own favorite teams:

1. Atlanta Falcons (Why, why, do they always have trouble with playoff games? )
2. Miami Dolphins (Really wish they would get rid of Henne.)

Least favorite teams (no offense to those who like these teams):

1. New Orleans Saints (I dislike the "WHO DAT" attitude and they're division rivals with the Falcons)
2. Green Bay Packers (Dislike Aaron Rodgers)

Favorite players:

1. Dan Marino, and he always will be!

AgileFalcon16,why do you dislike Aaron Rodgers when he's had no trouble off the field and he's been a nice person on the field? Is it because he crushed your Falcons 48-21? Just asking.

"Been a nice person on the field?" Hardly! He's one of the most arrogant quarterbacks I've ever seen! At least in recent memory. Every time he scores, he does that 'belt' taunt, which is rude and unnecessary.

Example 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjxYCYmTdm0
Example 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVg5J...eature=related

And no, I don't dislike the Packers because they "crushed" my Falcons. Matt Ryan choked big time in that game, so I will always attribute that loss to him. Remember, they actually beat the Packers just a few weeks before that, and had the Falcons played at the same caliber in the second game that they were able to in the first, it would have at least been much closer. And in any case, the Eagles always destroy the Falcons, yet I do not hate them. Same with the Steelers.

It is his way of celebrating.... but I just kind of wish he would tone it down a bit and be more like the other QB's.

As for why I dislike the Packers themselves, I don't really know actually. I suppose it might have started in the late 90's when I also a fan of the 49ers. Steve Young was the QB for them at the time, and they kind of had a rivalry going with Favre and the Packers.

Although I was only like 9 years old at the time, I still remember how incredibly happy I was when they were finally able to beat them in the playoffs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzThn8pkpC0

I don't care much for the 49ers anymore, but for whatever reason, I never really did get over the negative feelings I had for the Packers.... and of course, their current QB's on-field shenanigans aren't going to help make those feelings go away any time soon either. :P

Even though they're in the Dolphins' division, I actually don't mind them! They've got interesting colors and I like the area of the country they represent. I certainly wouldn't consider myself a fan, but yeah, they're not a bad team imo.

When it comes to the Dolphin's division, I do dislike the Jets though. Especially now, after: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3mFy...eature=related

Eh, just like the Aaron Rodgers thing, I don't like people that brag. And those are the two words I never stop hearing from Saints fans when they win. That and I'm a Falcons fan! Anything that has to do with our biggest rival is something we do not like! I imagine Bucs and Panther fans feel the same way.

No one from the Falcons or Dolphins right now, that's for sure. I want to like Matt Ryan, but I'm going to need more convincing before I'll say that he's truly a good QB.

Haha, you're probably going to bash me for this but if I had to pick one player right now that I would consider my favorite, I would probably say Michael Vick. I know what he did was bad, but I do think prison has turned his life around. Even now he does volunteer work for the humane society, when he no longer has to. Although I am not an Eagles fan, it is fun to watch Vick run circles around the defense while still being able to throw down the field when he has to.

Re: The NFL Football Thread v2

Agile Falcon16,I like Michael Vick bacause he's been nice ever since he entered prison and he's done everything they've asked him to do, I agree with everything you said about Vick. My favorite MV moment was when he led his team from a 21 point deficit at the meadowlands. With the Patriots for me. those are the reasons that you mentioned, and Tom Brady are the reasons they are my favorite team. Even though your 2nd favorite team is in my division, I don't dislike them. The one thing I dislike about is their helmet has a smiling fish on it. Question. Do you have a SB predition yet? FYI,I like the Falcons, and I hate the Jets.

Yeah, I remember that game! That was an incredible comeback.

lol, the dolphin isn't smiling!! He's got his game face on! xD

I do see your point though. The mascot certainly isn't as aggressive (or cool) as a Jaguar, or a Raven. But that being said, I do think it does a good job symbolizing the sunny, beach atmosphere of south Florida.

Oh man, definitely not. There are waaay too many good teams that could make it in there. I'm going to need to watch some games first before I could even make a good guess. Even teams like the Bucs and the Cowboys have shown signs of being competitive this year. Hell, even the Lions have shown signs of improvement! This is setting up to be an interesting season!

AgileFalcon16,I do agree with that the SB is wide open. Question. Who is your least favorite player. And, what do you think of Randy Moss retiring?FYI, that 21 point comeback was the best game last year.I was so happy!

BREAKING NEWS:Bubba Smith, member of the 70's Colts team just passed away!

Haha, considering how much I expressed my dislike for Aaron Rodgers earlier, I'm surprised you didn't just assume that I would pick him!

But no, really it would be Chad Henne, the Dolphins' QB. The guy's just aweful imo. He's not comfortable in the pocket, he can't run well (even less so than the average quarterback), doesn't handle pressure well late in the game, and can't even throw the freaking ball reliably a lot of the time! He does have his moments, but he's just terrible for the most part. I wish the team would just drop him for someone else.

He's had a good, long career. Retiring is probably a good move for him at this point in his life. No need to stay and risk taking a major injury, when the option to retire is there.

agileFalcon16,Bubba Smith was a DE for the 1970 Colt's SB team. Question. What was the best game you seen? And do you think Tim Tebow;QB for the Broncos, is any good?

Re: The NFL Football Thread v2

My Favorite teams are:
1. Chicago Bears
2. Arizona Cardinals
3. Cincinnati Bengals

My Least Favorite teams are:
1. Green Bay Packers (Bear's rival, gotta hate)
2. New Orleans Saints (hate the fans)

Favorite players:
1. Larry Fitzgerald - Best at his position and yet so humble
2. Matt Forte - Puts the team on his back

------
No I think Tebow is not a good QB, Orton is much better and he has proven himself and from reports, it seems like Orton will be the starter next season

----
My favorites for the Super Bowl are Eagles and Pats.
they both made major upgrades in the offseason.
The Eagles got Asomugha and DRC, which can be huge playmakers. Ronnie Brown is also a good spell HB.
The Pats got Ochocinco, who is a great WR despite his flamboyance and Haynesworth may even return to his Tennessee Days as a Patriot (though I doubt that because the Pats are predominantly 3-4).

Haha, you certainly ask a lot of questions!

Within the past year, probably the second meeting between the Falcons and Bucs. The game was soo close, and could really have gone either way up until the end.

Of all time, though, I would say one of Marino's come-from-behind wins. I didn't see too many of them live (I was too young), but my father taped a lot of them, so I've still seen them. I really liked the 1994 game between the Dolphins and the Jets. Especially because of the way it ended: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZfzr9tB4oo

Well, he played better last year than I originally thought he was going to be able to do. He was able to run quite well too, not unlike how he used to when he played for the Gaters. Not particularly impressed with his passing abilities yet, though. Perhaps he just needs more time to refine his skills. I'll reserve my final judgement until how I see how he does this season.

EDIT: Did not see Pottermore's response before posting my own. But yeah, I agree that Orton would make for a better QB.

Pottermore, why do you hate the Saint's fan's? They are the most loyal fans in the NFL. AgileFalcon16, the best game I've seen within the past year was the Patriots Packers. That was the Matt Flynn one. Best of all-time was that Cardinals Packers WC.Wildest game I've ever seen.I ask a lot of questions because I love hearing people's opinions. Qusetion. In that NYG,NE SB who did you root for? The one with the undefeated Pats losing. and who did you root for in the Pit AZ Sb game?
