Favorite Movie Villains
Okay, I hope there's no thread like this that I've missed; I did a search and didn't come across one.
Title's pretty self-explanatory; discuss or list your favorite film baddies to date. ![]() I'll kick things off with some of mine. Darth Vader (body by David Prowse, voice by James Earl Jones) Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman in Die Hard) Gollum (Andy Serkis) Oddjob (Harold Sakata in Goldfinger) The Joker (Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger) Magneto (Sir Ian McKellen) General Zod (Terence Stamp) Jafar (voice by Jonathan Freeman) Scar (Jeremy Irons) Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) Okay, that's enough from me. So what are all of your favorite cinematic foes?

![]() Darth Vader definitely is among my favourite movie villains as well - just a classic. But usually I'm more for the book villains I admit.

![]() And I cannot believe I forgot to mention: Count Dracula (Bela Lugosi) - Dracula One of those performances that just makes the movie. If it had been any other actor, I think the movie would have sank like a stone. He's the movie's lead, yes, but undoubtedly a villain.

Re: Favorite Movie Villains
Hmm -- for me it would be:
The Joker -- downright twisted and insane... Magneto -- evil outright... Darth Vader -- evil, but also just a cog in the corprate machine...

I support Darth Vader and Lord Voldemort, of course... The Headless Horseman in Sleepy Hollow. For a bloke with no face, he's quite expressive! The Ring in The Lord of the Rings. Harry Lyme (Orson Welles) in The Third Man. Lina Lamont (Jean Hagen) in Singing in the Rain. Mrs Danvers in Rebecca. Ralph Fiennes in Schinder's List.

Re: Favorite Movie Villains
My favorite topic: villains I just cant name all my favorites villains, perhaps I must say I LOVE all villains
But these ones... I would mention definitely:: Captain Hook ![]() Doctor Loveless ![]() They´re both HP actors, they´re both blonde in HP but here they have dark hair and beard, they are both mutilated: Hook is hand-less, Loveless is Leg-less XDDD ![]() ![]() ![]() And they are both bad guys. My fav Ralph Fiennes villain is Voldy, its more nicer there XDDDDDDDDD I love too Dr Evil (Austin Powers) LLLOOOL, Anakin Skywalker-Darth Vader, many of the Disney villains, Cap Barbosa (POTC) Many XDDDDDDDDDDDD Last edited by Wizard_Pupil; December 5th, 2007 at 6:59 pm. |

Re: Favorite Movie Villains
The Squid guy in Pirates of the Caribbean! Oh, I've forgotten his name! Yeah, he was great and I really liked his sad, love story
Also, Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort - the most perfect choice. He's just so...evil. A great villain ![]()

Re: Favorite Movie Villains
Davy Jones! Of course! Thanks
I often like villains who aren't just purely bad for no reason. A bit of complexity and a deep past often make movie villains a lot better (and scarier ) IMO ![]()

Re: Favorite Movie Villains
Umbridge-she reminded me of my least-favorite teacher, so therefore was perfect.
Voldy, Vader, Cruella DeVille, Davey Jones. I don't know about you guys, but Cal, the fiancee in 'Titanic' is a pretty good villian. He's self-servicing to the end, and I think that's what makes a perfect villian. And as for villians that are so terrible they're funny, the Duke in Moulin Rouge.
