Re: Would you ever stop discussing Harry Potter books?
Well I have not come here as often as I did before finishing the 7th book. For the time being I see myself popping in just not as often as I use to. I use to log in at least every other day. This is first time I’ve been here since November 9th. As far as searching for answers probably not on purpose , I never tried to search for answers before the series was completed. I might read someone theory on something and comment but really the only way to get answers is from Jo, other wise anything found is just speculation.

No, I even quote from them. I've never stopped reading them, HBP at present, and enjoy them more, every time I read them.

Re: Would you ever stop discussing Harry Potter books?
HP is a major part of me life; I'll never be completely 'over it'. I think I'll probably grow out of my obsession, but.... for the time being, I'm still in love :]

Re: Would you ever stop discussing Harry Potter books?
HP will never die for me . . . I'm sure that I'll read this series a few more times in my life . . . lol . . . I can picture me as a little old lady in a rocking chair reading PoA and enjoying just as much as I do now . . .
actually I think it will be cool to you know go on and ten or twenty years from now read them again . . . it'll cool to see how well you remember stuff from them I think I'd do anything to be able to go back and read them for the first time all over again . . . to not know whats going to happen . . . oh well. guess I have to hope for a brain injury that causes some memory loss. lol j/k that's a bit extreme. |

I dont think I will ever stop discussing Harry. He will definitely be passed down to my children, because it is an amazing series and provides many lessons.

No. Definitely everything has an ending. when do you think would be your time to say goodbye and stop discussing Harry Potter books??? I dont know such things happanes sooner or later we dont know would it be a long time before you even start thinking about it??? Yes... Maybe later I will return to talk about HP. I dont know, but I´m still trying to come back to LOTR and no, I finished everything with it. So the same happens with HP. But it can return someday, for sure, I have seen sucha things. Re: Would you ever stop discussing Harry Potter books?
Oh it will be a long time before I stop discussing Harry Potter... I feel I will be writing Harry Potter fan-fiction for a few more years... if I can continue to keep up the ideas of new stories.
I don't think there will ever be a time when I stop discussing it... or when I refuse to talk to someone about it.

Re: Would you ever stop discussing Harry Potter books?
I don't know, this is such a tough thread to answer.
I think that i'll keep talking about harry potter for a fairly long time, maybe a few months after the encyclopedia comes out. as for searching for answers, i have a lot in my own mind, and i don't know if i'll really think about them much more. i started really thinking about this when i saw this thread. i dont know how i'll say goodbye to harry potter, i think i'll start crying when i decide to.

Re: Would you ever stop discussing Harry Potter books?
I hope for me to say goodbye to the series in a natural way.
I won't just wake up one and decide not to talk about Harry Potter anymore. It is a process, that hopefully I won't be aware of, if I am withdrawing from it. Not too sure, I am withdrawing from this interest....but when it happens it won't be painful, just natural.

Re: Would you ever stop discussing Harry Potter books?
As long as I have grandchildren, nieces and nephews to read the books when they're old enough I will continue to talk about Harry Potter. My grandnephew has just turned ten and is reading the first book. He loves it and I'm so excited that he's asking questions and becoming a new little fan!
My grandson is 14 months old and I've already bought him the whole set of books. If they want to remain in my will they will read the books! :-) |
