about the infieri...besides the LoR images that pretty much resemble what i imagine another option is the infieri that appear in the Michael Jackson Thriller video...anyone here old enough to know this ones...they look ridiculous cause they were dancing..but at first ,without the music and the cool choreography ...they looked creepy enough ...and yucky enough to fit the idea of an army of the dead...

Yeah, that was my thought, it's a bit wordy and takes away from the drama


Really, it was IMPEDIMENTA? it sounded similar to that but not quite.

That's IRONIC if it was, because I believe that's the ONLY time that Spell has been used.

And it was used EXTENSIVELY throughout the Books along with Stupefy, Protego, Petrificus Totalus, etc.

Another thing that irked me was, IMPEDIMENTA doesn't "hang you upside down", the spell wasn't even shown properly

But then again, have ANY of the Spells been shown PROPERLY (ex. Stupefy )

Seems to me that Stupefy is a somewhat useless spell in the movies considering all it does is knock them backward.


It'll be interesting what Spells will be used in HBP and DH:

There better be a good variation of PETRIFICUS TOTALUS, PROTEGO, STUPEFY, IMPEDIMENTA, etc

And the better be PORTRAYED CORRECTLY!!!

well might be....they were creepy enough in those days...of course dancing they weren't precisely scary...

but i think the general idea would fit the infieri type ...still i stick with the LoR ones...but i wouldn't mind this ones improved like you suggest arrygrotter...specially the one drooling blood...creepy...

They really do look absolutley RIDICULOUS when Dancing, like where they do that "Side to Side" move

Umm, I'm not sure, but it seems if they were the same JKR would've just called them Zombies

I think the difference for me is that in movies Zombies always seem POSESSED and have a HUNGER FOR HUMAN FLESH, like this:

Anyways I thought about what the Inferni might look like for a while and I kind of just imagine them to look like regular humans, but just dead and floating around to kill you. Freaky...I know, but that's how I see it now.

Um...Just my oponion, but I don't think that the inferi will look like that. That is weird in my oponion. That was weird to see a Michael Jackson video too.

Yeah, I'm quite sure THAT would NOT be ALLOWED in HBP, I was creeped out by it too, but I was making a point that I don't want a "Modern Flesh Eating Movie Zombie" type for the Inferi


I agree, that's what it seems Dumbledore and Snape say afterall

Will the audience question the logic of Voldemort assigning the seemingly impossible task of killing Dumbledore, easily the greatest, most powerful, formidable wizard of the century, a man even Voldemort fears, someone not even the dark lord can defeat to a 16 year old kid?

Now, WE all know Voldemort was only punishing the Malfoys and really intended Snape to do the deed because he will no longer require a spy at Hogwarts since it will soon be under his control but the question is will the film make this clear?

Will people laugh when Draco steps out onto the tower and claims that he is going to kill Dumbledore? If they laugh, is this a good thing? Could it stifle the drama?

hmm...

It's hard to say about the audience questioning Draco's task.

If the film does it right, they will highlight the fact that LUCIUS broke the prophecy (possibly during Spinner's End) and that this is why Draco has been given the task.

If done right, no one will laugh at Draco. The mood has to be set right.
