Um In Re "Moving" Hagrid's Hut- I'm not sure what y'alls reference for the former placement of it was ..cause they don't really need the whole Howarts ground LAID out to proportion anyway. I assume arial shots of the campus will be CG anyway and the sets are used for actors scenes and mid- CU shots

but doesn't it burn in the finale anyway?

I had always assume the one they built earlier this winter was the hut to be burnt down while ago while filming "The Flight of the Prince?"

Sorry, I have to jump in here. I have seen so much negative talk surrounding poor Mark Day here. I have never seen editors talked about much on forums like this and I feel that it is in part due to a misunderstanding of what the editor actually has control over. There is a screen writer, a director and various producers and a studio that have a larger say in what stays in or out of the movie than what the editor does. If you don't like the way a movie is cut, it isn't necessarily all down to the editor because if the director isn't on board with it then the movie wouldn't be edited that way. I'd go so far as to say that the director actually tells the editor what type of feeling he wants out of the cut of the movie and the editor tries to give him/her that. I've spent tons of time in editing rooms and while it has not been for motion pictures it is close enough for me to say that a lot of the time editors follow direction, unless they are specifically given more freedom in what to do. (Perhaps that is the case here and if so then I stand corrected) Also, Mark Day may be choosing which specific takes to put together and mix and match, but he isn't going to cut out whole chunks of story without it getting approved by someone else, as far as my experience in the business goes anyway. I had to get that off my chest, sorry.
