Nature photography: An adventure laden Robin...

Taken using my Sigma 70-300mm lens in macro mode (it has a switch).

OMG! How did you even spot that!

Those are amazing pics I love how you captured all that detail! I am so impressed. I have no eye for photography, I need to watch and learn from you guys here!

Easy, i saw the snail trawling across the patio, thought to myself "Ooh i can use the macro feature on my telephoto zoom lens". By the time i'd taken off the kit lens for my Canon EOS 400D, the Snail had got to eating the flower.
It was just a matter of focusing on the snail and waiting for the right moment to press the shutter button. I've been going through the motions lately in regards to photography. But every once in a while i produce shots like those. At the moment i'm looking at photographs by really good photographers and trying to reserve engineer the shots. It's one of the best ways to learn apparently.

I like two and three best. Number two is simply adorable.
But how are them people able to get that close to the geese (especially when they have babies around)? Around here they chase after you if you get too close.

An adventure laden Robin....

This Robin was far from being a timid little bird today.
