Now as the films concerned it seems like they've added ALOT of new things that actually make sense. Gald to hear, Phrozenone. Maybe you could take my place again as the spirit of optimism for these coming movies because I'm through with defending WB and their cohorts.

Thats probably my favorite picture by far. Snape just looks so....serious. It's awesome!

*Shows his hand*

This change actually feels right in a way.

But of course this isn't the place to talk about the change.

I am still excited about the pics. Maybe not as much as I would be, but I think it WAS a smart move to but the change and the pics out on the same day

you're not the only one who's still excited! I was down for awhile yesterday, but now that I've thought about it, it's not the end of the world. Yes, it's annoying, yes it's a dumb move on WB's part, but what can we do about it? Let's just hope for the best HP movie thus far, like we've been doing since OOTP came out! (Oh, and Master...you know he's right )
I'm not too sure how I feel about the new scenes, etc, but I'm hoping that they work for the better as far as the storytelling goes. I want them to keep as much canon as possible, but at the same time I understand that movies work differently than books, and that a lot of the really really awesome things that are in the movies just won't translate well to the screen. But some of this (like the fact that uncle vernon was put in the cast list) prooves that it will probably have a lot more canon than the other films, and I'm loving it!

P.S. PLEASE people who want to discuss the delay, go to the thread that the mods made for it. THANK YOU!

Well I won't be defending the movie company...there job is to make money by any means necessary...I'm just saying WB won't squash my enthusiasm for the MOVIE. I still can't wait for HBP (Yeah it'll be a longer wait now tho ).

I mean of course that means that the bar is REALLY high for the quality of the film. The only thing that'll make me mad is if this movie isn't worth the wait and I think it will be.

But that's the thing. Now we're all going to have unrealistic unusually HIGH expectations for this movie and it probably won't deliver if it's only a really good movie. It now has to be FANTASTIC and I doubt it will be THAT great. Any less and we're going to feel let down.

Not to mention we're going to see most of the movie in clips and pics before we go see it.

I'm tired of my fan enthusiasm being used and mistreated.

Yeah, that picture is a bit off. The odd lighting and it does look posed in a way. I think that will be a great scene though - amazing talent with those three.

In the shot with Ginny at the Slug-club meeting, I have to say, is Ginny wearing a black sequined shirt or am I seeing things? Because that is made out of awesome. Also, do you think the guy pigging out on the right could Cormac McLaggen? I know the guy next to him is Blaise Zabini.
I'm not sure. It could be. I like that they're all dressed up for the dinner party. Just looking at the picture, it seems that this might be setting up for a Harry/Ginny moment. Ginny walks in late - Harry doesn't notice right away because he's talking to Hermione and then he looks up and

Or something like that.

And as for Bellatrix...well she is just a special-burger with awesomesauce isn't she. Double cool with knobs. I'm so happy we got Helena Bonham Carter.
I love Helena Bonham Carter - she does such a good job with Bellatrix. And I'm looking forward to seeing her in the scene they added at the Burrow. But I have to admit, I am very annoyed that they have her at Hogwarts for that battle. The whole point of that was that Voldemort sent the "lesser" qualified Death Eaters because Draco was expected to fail. It makes no sense for him to send his best lieutenant on a mission he expects to fail.

Hahah, true, Lavender looks like a complete cougar in this picture. But I like how the Gryffindor Common room is set up in celebration.
She looks like a very "girly girl" in that picture. Except for the muggle clothes, that's almost exactly how I pictured Lavender. I'm really looking forward to those scenes in the movie. That's going to be priceless!

Also, after reading the EW article it says that when Ron and Lav-Lav stumble into Hermione's little secluded corner of the school she shoos them away with a gust of Magical wind...*Cough*Cop-Out!*Cough* Sorry, was that a word cough? Yes it was. WHERE ARE THE CANARIES! GIVE ME THE CANARIES! I will wait another eleven months without a word if they can get their CG people to give me some little yellow birds.
The canaries wouldn't be there while they were filming. They'll probably add that in using CGI.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one

It looks like they've taken more liberties with this movie than usually.

I mean we're actually going to see Harry and Ginny at Slughorn's party. I like that they're expanding on things that the book didn't do.

Also did anyone read the EW article? We're going to see Emma cry and it actually sounds like she pulls it off (Well after a few takes and Yates coming down on them a bit ) and also the canaries are in

I pretty much figured the 3 memories bit and it makes since in film terms and it was good to actually here statements from Kloves (and him admitting that some of the cuts he made may come back to bite him )

that made me happy too...i'm assuming they're going to have to mention bill in HBP now, and include him in DH...that's what the article seemed to insinuate anyway...thoughts?

I, too, am really excited about the new pics. In addition to the new scenes...looks like we will have an Unbreakable Vow!

Yates deserves his title as 'the actors director'. To have Emma throw herself THAT much into her role is just ....

AH YES SPINNERS END!!!!!!

I was thinking that they wouldn't exactly SHOW the vow but once I saw that pic I was smiling from ear to ear. It's obvious a take from the un finished scene but to see it just makes me excited. Look at the talent in that scene..it's going to be intense.

So I guess this basically proves those pics Scope posted were fake

Huffington Post says that the movie was delayed because Radcliffe will be butt neked on Broadway for Equus and they don't want any connection made between that role & the Harry Potter family friendly films.

I beleive that is speculation. If that was true, they would have changed the date around the time when equus was planned.

Yeah...that's the good thing HBP had on it's side was that DH was out and they knew what to work towards. If Kloves plans on including Bill he could very well have brought mention of him in HBP (Or not...weddings are introduced in the movies they're in all the time...we don't HAVE to know in advance)

You know what? THat's probably what's happening..I can totally see them cueing some Harry/Ginny theme as he looks up at her walking slowly into the room and staring at her (I BET YOU there will be ALOT of staring in this film )

I'm looking forward to seeing the Spinner's End scene. That scene was interesting to read and we get a first look at Narcissa, who is one of the new characters. In alot of sequels they present a new character in the middle of the movie but in this one, we see a new character right away. Speaking of which, are they going to put the scene where Fudge and Scrimgeour are talking to the Prime Minister?

Not sure...there's so much going on in this movie..but hopefully by next year we'll know more. I could SEE Yates keeping the scene in but I'll still be very suprised if he does.

There's just SO much going on in the beginning of this movie. We have the destruction of the bridge by Death Eaters...Spinners End...Harry flirting with a waitress

Well we've seen the pictures of the bridge right? Isn't that where they discuss the bridge collapsing? (during the talk between the Prime Minister and Fudge and Scrimgeour)

Ah yeah....

Hmmmm...

Well they COULD start the film out with the collaspe of the bridge which leads to the Prime Minister talking to Scrimgeour about it...the cut to Spinners End...then to Harry at this resturaunt where he flirts with the waitress (Which I guess sets the 'romance' tone in the story in the midst of all this darkness) and then heads home so he doesn't miss Dumbledore (Since he'll know he's coming from the letter).

The way it's playing out in my head actually kind of makes sense. Maybe i should write out a quick script on what I think will happen

The flirting with the waitress...
I bet you anything that when Dan (or whoever said it) said that this will be the funniest HP by far, (Credit: Movie Magic Magazine) this is probably one of the scenes that he was referring to.
