I was looking for a place to discuss books and was wondering why there isn't a forum for discussion of non-fiction books. There's the part of The Writing on the Wall for fiction, but I couldn't find anything for non-fiction. Is there one that I just couldn't find? I don't know if one is necessarily needed, but I was just wondering why there isn't one.

Thanks! I clicked on the fiction button and glanced very quickly at the sub-forums, totally missing the Non-Fiction one.

I am trying to find a particular thread. It's not showing up in the search, but I know it exists. It was called something like "What makes you the biggest Harry Potter fan?" or something very similar.

In the master list of sorted students in The Sorting Hat, what do those x's and minuses mean?

Hello,

I was just wondering what happened to the quidditch teams/matches? I was on these threads a year ago and we used to have matches where chasers would answer questions and seekers would write essays. Also what happened to diagon alley and the classrooms and the sorting hat and flourish and blotts? Those were really fun....

I'm not sure about the Quidditch teams, but we do have a Dragon Quidditch game thread here.

Flourish and Blotts can be found here, the Sorting hat is here, and Diagon Alley is here.

Thanks! That sorta helped but things are still really different. Like Diagon Alley before you would be able to buy things like pets and wands and broom sticks and Flourish and Blotts people would publish stories and you could buy them. There was also classes like Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms etc..and a teacher would give a lesson and assign homework and you'd get points i think it was or maybe galleons based on how good you did the homework. The sorting hat was different too, you'd answer a series of questions and it would sort you based on ur chosen answers. And quidditch there was actually teams and a referee would ask questions and whichever chaser answered fastest the team would get the point and at the end the seeker would write an essay based on a question the referee gave and it would decide which team won. It was really fun. Its weird how all thats gone now.

I can't recall us having any sorting hat a year ago. Are you sure you are talking about the Chamber of Secrets forums and not Mugglenet or something?

Okay, I was up to page 13, trying to read through it all to see if my question was answered or not, but I got to impatient and decided to be a bother.

Are there any specified roleplaying areas? I tried a search and nothing came up and I skimmed a few of the other places it might be found to no avail. Perhaps you could provide me with a link to the appropiate place? Thanks!

The forum used to have a role-playing area several years ago, but it no longer exists. As I understand, it was hard to moderate and control.

Does anyone know how you sort yourself into a house? I see questions and people have posted them in each of the four houses but how do you know which house to post your answers in? Do you just hazard a guess at which house you should be in? Or it there another way you have to do it? I really want to know what house I would be in
