Re: The All-Inclusive HBP Movie Thread v.14

So, how long are we expecting to wait? And where would we look for it?

Edit: Just noticed the poll, and I voted "I feel like I've seen the whole movie... :/" in a good way, and would omit the :/ if I could

I lurk on IMDb usually. But they're a little too busy tonight discussing other things it seems.

I don't know where else to look.

Yeah, I kinda feel like I've seen the whole movie... there has to be some things left to surprise and imagination.

Technically speaking, the trailers have done a good job of showing a little bit of footage, but not really going into what the film is about, and the shots are just that... shots, without context. Two/three more trailers is pushing it. There just needs to be this trailer and a international one (which will be similiar anyway), and leave it at that.

Yes, the trailers show a lot of the film if a lot are released, but the trailers only give small little snippets of the scene, and so much other material (ie, the rest of the film) is still missing and that's what you have to look forward to in July - the full 2 and a half-hour presentation.

Not going into what the film's about? I already know what it's about, I've read the books, you know. But it's just shown so many of the scenes, and all the major things that are usually up to the imagination (like the memories and such) have been revealed to some extent. Plus, if I see any more, I'll want to see the movie more, and the suspense is KILLING ME.

That's what trailer's are supposed to do - they are doing a good job then

Whether or not you know what the film is about isn't the point, it's if the trailer goes into what it's about and spoils too much.

The trailers have shown some scenes, but it's just a shot or two of those scenes, that's not really too much. It is too much when you get 5 or 6 trailers all containing loads of new footage, though.

The general public wont watch every single one of these trailers though. The average person will only see 1 or 2 of them. It's us fanatics (who have read the book and know the plot) who will watch each one - and thats not really much of a spoiler anyway since they know whats gonna happen

Well, I knew next to nothing about the Spider-Man universe, only watched the movies, and the excessive amount of trailers for the third movie kinda ruined it for me. I felt like I had seen the whole movie already.

I wish there was a signpost to where the trailer would appear, or something...

No luck with you either?

I just realized why the trailer may not be online yet... did Inkheart have midnight showings? Because if not, no trailer until the morning.

His dialogue is in english. He said something about what it must be like to be the chosen one.

As for the trailer, it's pretty good. I can expect a english domestic trailer will certainly be better. But the new footage was nice. I especially liked this new apparation scene, especially the effect.

Re: The All-Inclusive HBP Movie Thread v.14

LOVING GAMBON! "That was fun. Most people vomit the first time!" POA Dumbledore is back! The rest was rather dull save for a few shots, and I thought Emma Watson's delivery was very poor on the line about Slughorn. Nice to see Mark Williams given a little more to work with, though. Not sure I like Dumbledore going on about Harry being the Chosen One. He was quite clear in GOF that he "never had much time for heroes". Hopefully those lines are out of context, and Dumbledore is teasing Harry a little.
