Re: Rate the Last Film you've seen
Revolutionary Road
10/10 for superb acting from all the cast ... and it's Kate Winslet's film all the way. 10/10 for direction and cinematography 5/10 for unremitting misery and despair ![]() I thought it was very like American Beauty. Overall score: 9/10, 1 point deducted for the sheer bleakness of the story. Worth seeing if you can cope with what is a very unhappy tale.

Re: Rate the Last Film you've seen
Milk
hmmmm... let's give this an 8/10. It took a while till it got going properly, I thought..... but it is very evocative of its time, and at the same time it feels extremely topical. Sean Penn is excellent - although a bit too 'Sean Peann-ish' at times - i.e. extremely ACTORly, if you know what I mean. great supporting cast, great story, engaging characters. Definitely worth seeing. 8/10

Re: Rate the Last Film you've seen
Easy Virtue 7/10
It's not actually a great movie, but it was funny, witty and exactly what I needed today. Besides, Colin Firth was there, as wonderful as ever. just with saying three or four phrases in French and Spoiler: show ![]() EDIT: I've just realized that Ben Barnes (Prince Caspian) was playing Colin Firth's son.. I hadn't recognized him without a sword ![]()

Re: Rate the Last Film you've seen
I'll go with Frost Nixon.
9.5/10. I'm picky, but this a truly film. It's just amazing in every single way. I never thought you could fit so much tension in the space between two people sitting opposite each other. Brilliant stuff. |

The X-Files: I Want to Believe -- 8.4/10
This movie was a decent enough film, with good acting, cinematography and a good soundtrack . Not perfect, but still fun to watch.

Re: Rate the Last Film you've seen
The Day the Earth Stood Still 1/10 Thank goodness I saw it at the dollar theatre: I would have felt really ripped off otherwise. Humanity facing apocalypse, the heroine has to convince the alien to spare us, and he finally changes his mind because this woman with pretty much no influence on the rest of humanity promises we'll be better, even though humanity's evils are no better defined than in The Hitchhikers Guide and even less so than in Wall-E!

I saw Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy last night 7/10
Good and funny but nothing compared to the book, and they had to do the big movie ending which it could've done without. Last film I saw in the cinema was Slubdog Millionaire which was fantastic 9/10

Re: Rate the Last Film you've seen
Benjamin Button, I would give it probably a 8 out of 10. It wasn't the classic I was expecting, but a brilliant film anyway. Still hoping to see Milk and Revolutionary Road soon.

Re: Rate the Last Film you've seen
I very rarely watch movies let alone go to the cinema but on the weekend my boyfriend sat me down and told me to watch Ferris Buellar's (sp?) Day Off (because apparently it was a crime I hadn't seen it). I thought it was extremely lame. 4/10.

I saw 'The Prestige' again on tv. Strangely though, I enjoy the plot twists even after repeated viewing

I'm currently watching Wedding Crashers, which I give 9/10. I love the film. I find it very humorous and it also has plenty of eye-candy. (Owen Wilson
)Last film I watched in theatre The Curious Case of Benjamin Button 10/10. I definitley recommend this one! A great story, and superb acting.
