Not any of the big ones but I rode in the Jefferson Trucks parade a couple times. My friend knows a guy who owns a float. Also, I'm riding in the St. Patrick's day parade this year! I'm excited for that too! I get to throw some cabbage! LOL

I LOVE the St. Patty's Day parade on Saturday! I usually start out in my own block and then walk up toward the corner by Parasol's for the post parade celebration. I think I'll shout Harry Potter! at each float next year and see if I get a reaction.

Re: The Never Ending Party 2.0

I used to ride on a float for Veteran's Day and Memorial Day. We had a float decorated in U.S. flags. I am a memeber of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary and for three years we had a float. Unfortunately, they stopped using the float when the cost of gas went up.
Any ghostly tunes for Halloween?

Monster Mash is the only Halloween song I can think of right now.

Re: The Never Ending Party 2.0

Halloween has come and gone so quickly I can hardly believe it.
Time for Thanksgiving. Party on!

Did anyone celebrate the Cardinals winning the World Series?

Re: The Never Ending Party 2.0

I don't follow sports so I don't usually know who won anything. Maybe a little of the Olympics, but not much else.

Thanksgiving...time to get ready for turkey. Don't forget to take out the giblets!

No but I'll be watching the NY Marathon tomorrow, two of my friends are running in there. Whatever their time, we'll celebrate afterwards, the champagne is already in the fridge.

Re: The Never Ending Party 2.0

I'm getting excited for Thanksgiving! Can't wait to see my family and have some excellent food! Do y'all have any Thanksgiving traditions? Mine are pretty typical (watch Macy's parade on tv, eat lots of turkey and dressing, watch football)

I can't wait to see Dan Radcliffe perform with his Broadway show at the parade!

Re: The Never Ending Party 2.0

My Thanksgiving traditions:

Overeating with friends at one of our homes (rotates each year), drinking too much wine, everybody around the table taking a turn saying what they are most thankful for, and ending the evening by watching one of these three movies: Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Young Frankenstein or Blazing Saddles

Re: The Never Ending Party 2.0

my Thanksgiving tradition is visiting relatives in the city of Tucson, AZ. my brother and sisters, and cousins all gather together in one place. We bring side dishes while my cousin cooks turkey and ham. (she has two ovens). We spend the day talking about when we were kids, and also what is going on in our lives today. If the weather is nice, some of us will take a walk outside after dinner. Others might hike in the desert or play football. The t.v. might be on to a movie or football game. We just sit and eat and talk.
it can be fun. Thank goodness, there are dish washers and plenty of people to help with cleaning up.

I heard Professor Lockhart and Umbridge might tie the knot this weekend. Can we decorate for a wedding?
