Votes counted, new moderated threads put up and all the shortlisted plants re-introduced - all within a few hours.

I think I did too, there were only a few I voted for originally in the list, and not always in what I voted them for then

Re: Through the Trapdoor - Second Challenge - Devil's Snare

I had one of the wrong plants listed. #11 - Dormant Doormat should have been in the list instead of #12. I have changed the poll so that it has the correct entry numbers, and I'll be contacting everyone who already voted to give them the opportunity to recast their vote for best name, if they want to.

Sorry.

I was afraid my owl was you, Susan, telling me I wasn't allowed to list who I voted for in my post. Yes, I'm paranoid.

Great job, SusanBones!!

I can't believe it. My entry has been mentioned favorably by, I believe, everyone who left feedback. [staff edit - too much information]

Thanks for all the kind words and votes so far!!

Re: Through the Trapdoor - Second Challenge - Devil's Snare

Thanks for the enthusiasm, but remember that the people who made the entries are still supposed to be a secret.

DON'T TELL ANYONE IF YOU MADE THE FINAL ROUND!

You just have to wait a few more days, and then everyone will know who made the entries.

Re: Through the Trapdoor - Second Challenge - Devil's Snare

I'm sorry to be a bother, but would it be much trouble to put the names of the plants in the second round shortlist voting threads? Because that would jog the memory, where just the numbers pretty much necessitates referring back to the threads, or at least one's review notes.

Or did you want us to have to read the entries again before we vote?

Plus if it would mean lots of extra work just as you were sitting down to your strawberries and tea, never mind.

I posted them for the names list, but I'm not going to do the others. I've fixed the links, though, so that the voting threads link back to the final round thread.

And I'm tired.

I wonder why.

You and the others did a superb job, Susan!

Hah, I see a lot of people have the same tastes I have. Three of the finalists in the names were among my favourites too. Since I didn't put in an entry, I can say that without breaching security.

What's difficult now is to choose one among those five, or three.

Best Trap Short List has 9 entries. Did several people tie in the number of votes?

No matter. Going to vote now.

Re: Through the Trapdoor - Second Challenge - Devil's Snare

Aargh, despite some favorable reviews, I didn't make it to the short list in any category at all.

So I voted merrily, no chance to vote for myself.

Congratulations to all the finalists!

Re: Through the Trapdoor - Second Challenge - Devil's Snare

On the "Best overall entry", I had to do the "Am, stram, gram, pic et pic et colegram" again. They all deserve to win.

My thanks to the people who said kind things about my entry. They were very indulgent.

Re: Through the Trapdoor - Second Challenge - Devil's Snare

I wonder - when all is revealed, will we know how people voted, or will we only know the final vote tally for each entry?
