Re: Glee

I've watched the first episode here yesterday and I really enjoyed It's good to have a different kind of series for a change. It's fun. Some os the characters have amazing voices and I like the old songs. So far I'm on it.

Re: Glee

I love Glee. I watched the first 6 episodes consecutively and it was marvelous. I like that the characters seems to have a bit of over-top-top qualities to them and their portrayals. I love that kind of humor.

I have read some complaints about the show having unrealistic plots (like Shue's wife pregnancy), but to me it's just part of the style of the show. The show is full of that sort of sarcastic, slightly satirical, over-the-top feeling. I think it's pretty funny. It's not meant to be taken so seriously, otherwise you'll hate it. It's one of the reasons I love it.

Emma is my favorite, I think. She's the best guidance counselor to watch, apart from Freaks and Geeks' Mr. Rosso. I loves Sue's dialogue, always gets my cracking up because sometimes it gets really absurd. Shue's wife is waaaaaaay irritating, but she is supposed to be, pretty much. The fact that she manages to drive me so crazy, it's a feat on its own.

Yep, every week now a new episode and I'm already booked to see it. I was very tempted to watch the episodes online, but I think I will wait to see it on the big screen and one a week like every series.

GIG - Yay!! I'm happy that you like the series as well. I'm a noobie, but I guess I will become a fan pretty soon.

Ditto. Glee is def over the top, but it's so much fun, I don't care.

I found a tote bag (not official) that says "Proud to be a Gleek." But at $35.95 (+s&h), I'll get a canvas tote from Walmart and decorate it myself.

How about Terri's sister, Kendra. She was incredibly, wonderfully, horrible. I think she made Terri look almost saintlike.

So true! I thought Terri was terrible until we saw her sister. Terri was going to come clean and her sister is the one engineering the lie.

Cybobbie and GiG, I hope you catch up on episodes soon! I don't want to spoil you with comments here.

Freelantzer, I totally agree. On shows like The Office I catch every little plot inconsistency and get annoyed by it because they're portrayed as real people. Glee is so obviously not real that I watch it like it is candy.

Well if I stick on watching on the TV it will take a while, but there's a chance that I watch some online episodes So far since I don't know most of the characters well (only saw the first episode) there's not much I can get from the comments. But I could not resist and checked some of the first comments on this thread.

I'm safe, HMN. I caught up with the first 6 episodes because I was curious about the show, and I have been watching weekly ever since.

Re: Glee

So I couldn't resist and with the great help from GIG (that provided me the link, thank you ) I just watched episode 2. It was great! I'm love this over the top thing, it makes it really fun. On ep 02 I loved that scene with Emma and Rachel, specially with Emma crying and singing in the car! Talking about car that thing with Finn and the car accident cracked me up!! And so far it's hard to decide the character that I will hate the most but Will's wife is on the lead so far.

Re: Glee

We got to see her dance, now hopefully they'll let her sing! Jane Lynch is so great. I hope she wins an Emmy for her role as Sue Sylvester.

Cybobbie - I love the mail carrier/ car accident scene. I think in one episode Quinn tells him 'think of the mail' so he doesn't get over excited.

Re: Glee

I've watched (online since here we're on episode 1) episodes 3, 4 and 5 yesterday night and tonight. You're right, I'm loving the series The sense of humor is great! That dancing scene on the football field was priceless And the plus of Kurt scoring the winning point of the game was great! I think that by the end of the weekend I will be able to catch up with you all.

That scene was one of my favorites.

I'm going to install seatbelts on my chair so I don't fall off laughing when I watch Glee. Hopefully, I can get to the store this weekend to buy a tote bag that I can decorate with "Proud to be a Gleek." I think I'll do it in glitter glue.

That's great Desraelda I believe that I will have to wait a long time before I can get them, unless I buy them on US.

I just watched episode 6, Vitamin D, great episode with lots of turns on the plot! So now I get that Sue is the villain and a great one, but not sure how to label Terri, but I guess that I can say that she is such a b*** As you can see I'm a gleek now Could not wait to see one episode a week and I'm already on episode 7

Oh, torture me why don't you. Can't wait until tomorrow night, and now that article has me drooling.

Another slogan to put on my Glee tote. On one side, "Proud to be a Gleek" and on the other "Giddy for Glee." I forgot to pick up the tote at WalMart the other day, but I already have glitter glue to decorate it with.
