the part when Harry says to Snape "Fight back you coward, fight back", the emotion in Snape's face shows almost sympathy and i love it. i re-watch that part all the time just because you finally see emotion in his face

Lavendar blowing on the glass of the train's door and then drawing a heart and initials and acting a bit too crazed about Ron.

The entire cave sequence. One of my favorite bloggers described it better than I could:

And lastly, there is a truly stunning sequence set in a cave late in the film, a triumph of chiaroscuro lighting and minimalist production design that makes for one of the absolutely great creepy scenes in all of children's cinema. Delbonnel has long been one of my favorites, despite a rather limited filmography (including Amélie and Across the Universe), but it's this movie that finally pushes him right into the very upper tier of his craft.

How could I possibly forget this scene from HBP? It's easily one of my favorite openings out of the series with stunning cinematography from Bruno Delbonnel above all else: instead of simply having the flashes of the camera appear minimally on-screen with small sound effects accompanying them, it instead sounds like each flash of the camera represents a brutal punch from the reporters, obscuring our view of the scene. Ah, the music...Dumbledore comforting Harry by leading him past the reporters like someone who knows scrutiny all too well...the tight, beautiful editing that chooses to stop the scene at the perfect moment...Voldemort's scream as one camera goes off...

The scene in the hospital wing after Ron gets poisoned - I love the "daft dimbo" line, and the acting's good in this bit

During the Slug club when Hermione is asked about her parents and Slughorn asks if being dentists is a dangerous profession

Ron: How much are these?
Fred & George: 5 galleons.
Ron: How much for me?
Fred & George: 5 galleons.
Ron: I'm your brother!
Fred & George: 10 galleons
I know it's a bit cliché but it makes me laugh

At the Christmas party and Cormac vomits on Snape you've got to feel sorry for Cormac a bit there because you know that Snape would have given him an awful detention.

I loved the part when Slughorn sees Harry in the Three Broomsticks and goes to talk to him, spills his drink on Hermione and says "All hands on deck, Granger." I don't know why but I think it's hysterical.

And coming in a relatively close second is the scene where Lavender breaths on the glass draws a heart and writes R + L in it. Her facial expression was perfect. I love movie Lavender.

someone had probably said this already...bit i LOVED LOVED LOVED the part where Harry is under the influence of Felix Felicis and is with Slughorn and Hagrid at Aragog's remains, and he does the pincer thing with his hands...that has got to be the BEST piece ever for me!

All 6 times I saw HBP in the cinema, the entire room burst into laughter every time Slughorn said "All hands on deck, Granger". What a great line.

The scenes where Ron's under the influence of the love potion always crack me up, especially the bit where he falls off the sofa in the background and the Felix Felicis scenes are brilliant!

I love the Quidditch scenes as well, always love seeing that brought to life on film

Starting from the beginning:

The flying scene through London, Spinner's end, any scenes with Professor Snape in them, the Sectumsempra scene with Severus bending over Draco and whispering the counter spell, Ron on the Love Potion, Harry on the Felix Felicis, Aragog's "funeral," the cave scene (amazing), the scene on the Astronomy Tower -- and, the look on Severus face when he cast the AK and killed Dumbledore. I also like the sillouette of Severus "steeling" himself for what he had to do. I saw the longer version of this and the school choir music in the background, and the look on his face as he contemplates what is facing him is so powerful. I'm sorry the scene was cut down so much.
