Re: Favorite scenes / lines in the HBP movie

The best scene was definetly the Felix Felicis one. I didn't expect it to be so funny! Daniel's act was brilliant, specially the whole: "harry!", "sir!" moment. I laughed so much.

Ron sitting in between Harry and Ginny with the huge tray of pies was hilarious too.

But my favorite was Ron's love potion scene. I memorized the dialogue since the trailer came out because I thought it was great.
Ron: "Harry I think I'm in love with her."
Harry: "Okay fine you're in love with her! Have you ever even met her?"
Ron: "No" (pauses, then smiles stupidly) "Can you introduce me?"

Quidditch was great too, though I missed Harry chasing the snitch.

"You can try," said Harry indifferently. "But you seem cleverer than Fudge, so I'd have thought you'd have learned from his mistakes. He tried interfering at Hogwarts. You might have noticed he's not Minister anymore, but Dumbledore's still headmaster. I'd leave Dumbledore alone, if I were you."

There was a long pause.

"Well, It is clear to me that he has done a very good job on you," said Scrimgeour, his eyes cold and hard behind his wire-rimmed glasses. "Dumbledore's man through and through, aren't you, Potter?"

"Yeah, I am," said Harry. "Glad we straightened that out."

Re: Favorite scenes / lines in the HBP movie

Gah there are so many awesome lines & scenes but a few that stood out...

*The entire Felix Felicies part. "Harry!?!" "Sir!?!" Rofl.

Harry talking about the pinchers and remarking with a "yeah" when slughorn asked if Aragog had family.

Slughorn telling Harry about the fish Lily gave him. *tear*

*McLaggen vomiting on Snape's shoes and Harry tries to leave and Snape's all "Not so fast, Potter!" bwhahhaha.

I'm not quite sure of the exact wording but when Draco and Dumbledore are on the tower and he's saying something like "I've got to do this. He'll kill me if I don't." *chills*

Oh and the entire "real" Riddle Memory.

"It was, he thought, the difference between being dragged into the arena to face a battle to the death and walking into the arena with your head held high. Some people, perhaps, would say that there was little to choose between the two ways, but Dumbledore knew - and so do I, thought Harry, with a rush of fierce pride, and so did my parents - that there was all the difference in the world." -Harry Potter

Re: Favorite scenes / lines in the HBP movie

The good skin conversation with Harry and Ron.

Aragog's funeral. Harry "... and those pincers. *snip snip*"

McGonagall "... and take Ron with you. He seems to be enjoying himself too much" - something like that.

Fred ang George Joke shop..
"5 Galleons"
"But I'm your brother!"
Fred and George, "In that case, 10 galleons"

"But I am the chosen one."

So many! This was *the* funniest HP movie in the series for sure!

Re: Favorite scenes / lines in the HBP movie

Harry with the pincers . The whole felix bit was hilarious. Right from the start when Harry walks out and says "Hi" to a couple of random blokes to him clapping after Hagrid and Slughorn are singing.

And Hermione when Ron is mumbling Hermione. "Oh shut up " to Harry.

Ron in the background after he takes the love potion falling off the chair!

The bit where Ron got poisoned really freaked me out.

Re: Favorite scenes / lines in the HBP movie

My favourites were Harry on Felix, the revelation of Snape as the Half Blood Prince and Slughorn's Christmas party.

Harry: They're dragon balls.
Cormic: *throws up on Snape*

Good one!

One word... Her...mio..nie... Scene... And I love the look on her face, when Dumbledore says Ron is in good hands... It was like he knew what was going on with the two.

Re: Favorite scenes / lines in the HBP movie

The entire scene in which Harry was under the influence of Felix Felices was, by far, the most enjoyable in the entire film. Dan's acting was perfect, having such hilarious lines as "Hi!" (my favourite line of dialogue in the entire film) and "Sirrrrrr!". Jim Broadbent, who I believe deserves an Oscar nomination for his role, was equally exceptional in this scene, whether he was sober (his collecting the plants in the greenhouses and his sayings over Aragog's body), intoxicated ("Poof!") or emotional (the conversation involving the goldfish); I cannot believe that fans were doubting his portrayal before seeing the film, basing their opinions of him entirely upon the differences between the film Slughorn's appearance and that of the book Slughorn. Robbie Coltrane, despite not being as distraught as I would imagine Hagrid being over Aragog's body (though this barely annoyed me at all), was excellent when drunken, singing the "Odo" song and joining in on the "Poof" conversation.

Re: Favorite scenes / lines in the HBP movie

My favourite scenes were Felix Felicis, Sectumsempra and Katie Bell and the necklace.

A small moment that I only noticed on a second viewing was the bowl of Sherbet Lemons on Dumbledore's desk at the end of the film That was a nice touch.

Re: Favorite scenes / lines in the HBP movie

"Hi!" - Probably the most brilliant and best delivered line I've heard in ages!

There were many lines that deserves a place in this thread, but my absolute favourite would be:
"I've never been here. At least not awake. Y'see, I'm sleepwalking, that's why I sleep with my shoes on."
Evanna never disappoints me! And the clipping over to Draco killing the bird was absolutely touching, and made a great contrast.

That one was great!

I also liked when Snape encountered Harry right before killing Dumbledore. That moment of Harry thinking of him as the villain when really Snape was there for him (because of his mother of course.)

Also "pincers! *click click*"

Re: Favorite scenes / lines in the HBP movie

I agree with the majority that this film is undoubtedly the funniest of the six. There were only a few moments when I was not laughing, and I enjoyed the film because of it. I also think its humor will appeal to everyone - even non-HP fans.

That said, some of my favorite moments are not funny at all. Yes, I love the Felix Felicis scene (excellent acting on Dan's part), the discussion about skin, Cormac vomiting on Snape (especially Snape's reply), Lavender's "R+L" on the train, etc. However, I think I enjoyed the more serious scenes just as much, if not more, in certain cases:

The cave scene was magnificent. It gave me chills, just as I got when reading. Dumbledore's reaction to the potion was heartstopping, I was transfixed.

Spinner's End was very good as well. I love Alan Rickman's performance here - I could see his inner battle and fear when making the Unbreakable Vow. I was slightly annoyed by Bellatrix's whispering, but overall it was a great scene.

The Oppugno scene. Hermione crying into Harry's arms was heartbreaking, but I was also very excited to see the birds hovering over her. I love the scene in the book, and the film did a great job with it. Having Harry actually comforting Hermione was a nice touch.

And some of the little things were great, like Ollivander's kidnapping, Ron making it snow. Mr. Weasley's shop full of Muggle items gave me a quiver of excitement as well.

Re: Favorite scenes / lines in the HBP movie

Slughorns Party, when Ginny walks in and Harry stands up then some time later
Ron: Did you enjoy the party
Hermione: I think harry enjoyed dessert
(think it was something like that) loved it

I thought the scene when the death eaters came to the borrow was immense, Helena Bonham Carters amazing

Re: Favorite scenes / lines in the HBP movie

Cormac throwing up on Snape!
Harry on Felix Potion.
Ron on the Love Potion.
The Quidditch game was so cool to watch!

Favorite line:
Harry: "Siiiiir!"
I was laughing so hard.

One of my favorite scenes to watch was the cave scene. It was so magnificent to watch on screen. Another is the Sectesempra scene. Malfoy and Harry were awesome to watch. We haven't seen them duel like that since CoS.

I like the scene where Harry is going to ask Slughorn about the Horcruxes for the first time, it's funny the way he does exactly like young Voldemort in the memory does...I found that quite amusing and well thought

Re: Favorite scenes / lines in the HBP movie

This movie had a lot of favorite scenes for me!

These are my favorites:

-When Harry drank the Felix, and the whole scene with Hagrid, Slughorn, and Aragog's funeral (although I almost cried when Argaog died in the movie)
-Ron and Lavender-and Hermione's reaction--both the funny parts (excuse me while I vomit) and the sad parts when she is crying and makes her bird charm
-Harry and Dumbledore at the cave--exactly how I imagined it in the book
-Severus Snape and Dumbledore--the death scene, and the Death Eaters at Hogwarts, and Harry calling Snape a coward, and Snape saying he was the Half Blood Prince
-Ron "these girls are going to kill me", and the "er my knee" scene
-the Christmas at the Weasleys scene
-Harry going to the RoR with Ginny--and then what Ron said afterwards
-Draco and Harry in the bathroom dueling
-Luna and Harry on the train--and the Slug club dance where McCormick vomits on Snape

Re: Favorite scenes / lines in the HBP movie

I've got lots of favorite scenes and quotes!

I really liked the bridge attack in the beginning, and how we literally zoomed along with the death eaters through London. I thought that Slughorn's potion class was very well done, not to mention Slughorn himself, who was cast perfectly. I love how Hermione's hair got bushy, like it did in the books! I also adored all of the Ron and Hermione moments, and when Harry comforts her. Very sad scene.
The young Riddles were both amazing!

And of course, my favorite quote is undoubtedly "SIRRRRRR!"
