If you could learn another language, which would it be?

All languages are so beautiful. I was listening to the multi-language dub of When You Believe, and I felt that-the song apart-all languages were so, so beautiful. I'd find difficulty in choosing one language to study.

I would LOVE to become fluent in Japanese or Korean.

I took both French and Spanish for 5 years each throughout my middle school and high school careers. I love taking the classes in highschool, because they were the most interesting thing my school offered. Once I got to college I sorta ditched them though. Wish I hadn't. I always got A's and really could have tried to get some good proficiency with them.

I was able to take an intro to Japanese class and LOVED it. However, I couldn't take the sequence because I had run out of free credits. :'(

Also, I am Armenian, and my grandmother is pretty much fluent in Armenian. I have taken a few lessons with her to try and learn the language, but the alphabet is hard to grasp. Mostly learned some romanized writing, simple speech. In the end, it boiled down to my grandmother making sure that we know a few words so she can say impolite things about others to us in public. haha. ><

Well, I'm attempting to teach myself Chinese right now, using podcasts. I can say some basic phrases, but I still can't write it yet. Anyway, that's the language I want to learn most now. I have a feeling it will be very useful in the not-too-distant future.

I already know French pretty well, although I would like to be fluent, and I can understand most Spanish but I still need to work on my speaking/writing. Also, I started taking Russian this year, and it's very interesting but still a challenge. Although, right now, if I could choose to learn another language it would definitely be Japanese. I just love everything Japanese and I think it's just a really awesome language on it's own; The characters look cool and the flow sounds great. I tried learning a little on my own, but it's very hard. I used to be able to read most Hiragana/Katakana (but not understand it :P) but with my increased studies this year I haven't been pacticing and I've forgotten a lot of it. Next year I'll be taking Latin as well, and though it's not a spoken language it'll be interesting to see where the roots of so many words come from.

I see several people have said that would like to learn Hindi. That's interesting because it would have never occured to me before. In what ways in it useful?

I would love to learn Frech.Why? I honestly don´t know. Guess , I like how it sounds. I already know Spanish and English. Well, my English is not as perfect as it should, but I can make myself understood in both written and spoken ways. Oh, and I also know american Sign Language , I used to have deaf friends and I also taught small deaf kids to read and write . I guess it counts as another language , even if it is not spoken.

I would love to learn Spanish. I already know English, Dutch, French, and I have the basic knowledge of German. I find Spanish such a beautiful language, it sounds very passionate and I just love the words. It's also very useful on vacation.

My native tongue is Finnish and I have studied English, Swedish, German, French, Spanish, Russian and Latin. But I only know Englinsh fluently. I would love to learn German better. I have studied it 3 and half years, but I lost interest and now I am happy when I can understand a word here and other there.

I know Greek(as it is my native language), I can speak awesome English(my fave language BTW ) and in a couple of years I'll have finished studying French. I soo want to leanr Italian or Spanish. Oh, and then maybe German.

English is my native language, and I think I'm pretty fluent in that.

I currently take Latin, which I really like. It's a very beautiful language, and the best part is that I get to talk about Harry Potter in it a lot!

However, I would like to learn German.
