Oh yeah! I love that one! I love the look on his face. Like that Chinese Fireball is supposed to be scarier than a rampaging Horntail.

I like that quote too.

This one jumped to my mind.

"If I didn't know any better DRACO, I'd say you were afraid."

OMG Thanks for making me laugh, I absolutly love that line! Even more so the one that he follows up to that when Harry realises that the Hungarian Horntail is the last one left and mutters it underneath his breath and Barty Crouch snaps back, 'What's that boy!'

That was in the first movie when they were in the Forbidden Forest wasn't it? That reminds me of, although I know it's not a quote but Draco's face when he sees the flying hooded figure! His scream is priceless and then you see a snap shot of him running away in the background lamp bobbing along in his hand

"Well, he can do it if he thinks no one is watching him," said Fred, rolling his eyes. "So all we have to do is ask the crowd to turn their backs and talk among themselves every time the Quaffle goes up on his end Saturday."

Re: Best Quotes from the films

Oh! I recently watched HBP! (FINALLY!)

And there's the scene where the trio is with McGonagall after the Katie Bell incident:

McGonagall: "Why is it, that whenever anything happens, it's always you three?"
Ron: "Believe me, Professor. I've been asking myself that same question for the past six years."

Oh! I simply LOVE Ron's answer!

And Harry's "Poof!" when talking about Slughorn's fish!

Re: Best Quotes from the films

Ron: "Spiders...the spiders...they want me to tap dance"
Harry: "You tell those spiders, Ron"

Probably my favorite comedic moment in the film series that wasn't in the books (either this, or McLaggen puking on Snape in HBP)

Re: Best Quotes from the films

One of my favorites is in PS/SS after the Trio and Neville encounter Fluffy.

Hermione says something along the line of, "I'm going to bed before you come up with a plan to get us killed, or worse, expelled". Ron replies, "She has got to get her priorities straight."

Brilliant! Only Hermione would consider getting expelled from Hogwarts a fate worse than death.

Snape: *slowly and menacingly looks up* You've just earned yourselves a month's detention McLaggen. *Harry tries to sneak away* Not so quick Potter.

And also, when Snape gives Harry Dumbledore's message in Halfblood Prince:

Harry: Travelling? Travelling where?
Snape: *pause* *Blatantly ignores Harry and walks away*

As always, his expression is priceless as he walks off screen!

OoP, for Alan Rickman's perfect delivery:

[when Umbridge confirms that Snape did not get the DADA job]
Snape: Obviously.

Lavender: Oh, don't make me laugh! You two haven't spoken in weeks. I suppose you want to go out with him now that he's suddenly all interesting!

Hermione: He's been poisoned you daft dimbo! ...And for the record, I've always found him interesting!

I love the "daft dimbo" bit

In COS when Harry and Ron have taken the polyjuice potion and they run into Malfoy, Harry still has his glasses on and he says they're for reading and Malfoy replies "Reading? I didn't know you could read."

Oh and in OotP:

Luna: I hope they have pudding

It's just a perfect Luna line IMO

Snape is the man! It was BRILLIANT casting him as Severus Snape; J.K. Rowling wanted him to portray her character and once again, she made the perfect choice!

My favorite quote/scene from the movies comes from PoA, and of course, it involves Snape:

When Snape enters the DADA classroom, slams the door, whips out his wand and closes the windows, and brings down the projector screen, all with such indifference. He whips around to the class, and in that commanding, yet chilling voice says, "Open your textbooks to page three hundred and ninety-four!" I LOVE THAT SCENE!

It goes on with:

Snape: "This is the second time you have spoken out of turn, Miss Granger. Are you unable to restrain yourself, or do you take pride in being an insufferable know-it-all?"

Ron to Harry: "He's got a point, you know."

Snape: "Five points from Griffyndor. (Murmuring from class) And as an antidote to your ignorance, on my desk by Monday morning, 2 rolls of parchment on the werewolf, with emphasis on recognizing it." (Class groans)

Harry: "But sir, it's Quidditch tomorrow!"

Snape: "Then I suggest you take extra care, Potter. Loss of limb will not excuse you. Page three hundred and ninety-four!"

Re: Best Quotes from the films

Probably any comment that comes out of Ron's mouth in response to Hermione, and any of Snape's comments. I also love this quote from Sirius Black: "We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are."

Re: Best Quotes from the films

Horace Slughorn: What about you, Miss Granger? What do your parents do in the muggle world?
Hermione Granger: Ah, my parents are dentists.
Horace Slughorn: And is that considered a dangerous profession?

Love that one! From HBP I'm fairly sure.

Ah the imperious Alan Rickman I love everything he says, he's so brilliant. That scene is done so well, one my favourite

It's so funny when Ron walks over Neville after that and tells him 'It's for your own good you know' The nerve to tell someone who's just been hexed

This thread is fast becoming my favourite on here, keep it coming people!

Re: Best Quotes from the films

You know ... I just remembered other scenes in HBP.
When Harry meets Slughorn trying to steal from Sprout's and he goes away :
Slughorn : "Harry!"
Harry : "Sir!" Oh I love the effect of his voice over the Felix Felicis.

Also at the Slughorn party when Harry tries to sneak from Snape after the McLaggen incident:
Harry : "Sorry, sir, but I really should be getting back to the party. My date...
Snape: "Can surely survive another minute without you."

SNAPE IS THE MAN! And there could not be better actor for the character but Alan Rickman!

And when Ron gets ridiculously "in love" with Romilda Vane :
Ron : "It's no joke! I'm in love with her!"
Harry : "Alright, fine, you're in love with her! Have you ever actually met her?"
Ron : "No... Can you introduce me?"

And one of Luna's lovely quotes : "I've never been to this part of the castle. Well, not awake. I sleepwalk, you see. That's why I wear shoes to bed."

Re: Best Quotes from the films

Severus Snape: Do you remember me telling you we were practicising non-verbal spells, Potter?
Harry Potter: Yes.
Snape: Yes, Sir.
Potter: There's no need to call me 'sir,' Professor.

I realized Harry REALLY is the Chosen one after this

EDIT:Be brave, Professor. Be brave like my mother... Otherwise, you disgrace her. Otherwise, she died for nothing.

I also found that quote and i reallly really liked it.

Re: Best Quotes from the films

One of my favorite quotes was from HBP when Ron and Harry were in their dormitory discussing Ginny and Harry goes "Ya know, she's got nice skin."

Another one from HBP: Luna and Harry were on the way into the castle and his nose was broken from his encounter with Malfoy, so she offered to fix it for him. "I have done several toes, but how different are they really?" She goes on to say "Personally I think you look a little more devil-may-care this way, but it's your choice." Gotta love Luna!!
