Not to me. It's just one more reason for me not to watch it at all. There's enough of that happening out in the real world.

As for Jennifer Lyon's passing: That is sad and tragic . May she rest in peace, and my thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family.

I am glad that Sugar was the first to go. She is very annoying. I was afraid they were going to get rid of someone good first. They did the right thing. Let the games begin.

I was surprised that she was asked to be on the show. I really didn't want Amanda or Stephanie to go first. I'm glad it was Sugar, too. I would have been happier if it was Tyson on the Villains.

The first hour was really good. It was so nice to see so many familiar faces. I usually take a long time learning names and tribes, but this time it is a piece of cake. I am having trouble remembering Candace, though.

The second hour had too many commercials.

This will be a good season. I had forgotten how enjoyable it was to watch Boston Rob play the game.

This will be a good season. I also have trouble getting used to new people. It is good to have old faces. I didn't realize that for a lot of them this will be their third time on survivor.

Spoiler: show
That was crazy when Stephine dislocated her shoulder. That must have really hurt and it looked disgusting. She has always been hardcore like that though i am not sure if she can win.

It is strange to see how some of them have changed.

I loved that part. Russell may think that he knows how to manipulate people, but Boston Rob has a way of reading people and getting into their vulnerable spots that Russell just doesn't have.

I hate to admit it, but I am liking Coach a lot more this time around. He seems more "human" this time. I think it is very cute that he and Jerri seem to be attracted to each other.

I hope it is nothing serious. I would really hate to have him leave the game so early.

Re: Survivor 20: Heroes vs. Villians

I've known Sugar would be the first one to go for months now. In my opinion, it was a great decision. How could they even consider Stephenie when she's probably the most athletic female on the Heroes tribe?

I don't really know why James is there. He was very stupid gameplay-wise both times around and in my opinion has a boring personality. Candice can't seem to get a single sentence out without sounding bored either. James' personality may be weak but at least he seems enthusiastic.

I think Danielle is a weird choice to have back on the show, but female Villains are indeed scarce in the Survivor pool. Oh well. At least she's hot!

I saw Jeff's predictions for next week's episode on Survivor Live that he filmed after doing the first Tribal Council. Knowing what actually happens, they were very interesting to hear...

Re: Survivor 20: Heroes vs. Villians

Well I thought that was the roughest first show that Survivor has had. I hope it was just a one off and not a forerunner of the way the whole season is going to go . Because if it is a game of injuries they are going to run out of survivors fast. Speaking of injuries I thought that Boston Rob might have had an encounter with something poisonous or maybe its heat exhaustion or his heart? I hope that whatever it was he recovers fast and stays in the game .

I honestly don't get why people hated Coach-I loved him loads. He isn't as manipulative as the other Villains-in fact, he didn't seem to do anything much. The only problem with Coach is that he's just plain weird. Fine, totally loony. But I don't see that as a reason for people to hate the Dragon Slayer. He's the most entertaining and interesting character in his season, and even now, in Heroes Vs Villains.

Tell me about that! The Black Widow and the Dragon Slayer.

Re: Survivor 20: Heroes vs. Villians

Well tonight we get to find out what happened to Boston Rob!.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I hate it when the show,(any show) shows a teaser where it looks like someone has gotten hurt . I have been sitting and wondering what happened for a full week , it bugs me no end that the show can do this to me.

That sucked. I always liked Stephanie. They made the wrong choice. Why do they always go with the dumb people? I hope James goes next.

Re: Survivor 20: Heroes vs. Villians

I can't believe just how dysfunctional the Heroes tribe is when it comes to brain work . I mean they have no trouble doing the grunt work in the challenges but ask them to think and its like they go insane . I'm sorry to see Stephanie go out so early .I was hoping that she could have stayed around for a bit longer . Wow James has changed a lot and not for the better if you ask me ,I thought he would be a better person in this game after being in three seasons but it seems to have had the opposite effect he is behaving like a bully if you ask me.

I hate to see how dysfunctional the Heroes are, too. Maybe they have too many leaders and not enough followers. Maybe two immunity loses in a row will help them to get their act together. It is too bad that Stephanie got kicked out. And it looks like Tom and Colby are next, unless they can figure out a way to turn things around for themselves.

The Villains are interesting because they are so totally dysfunctional when it comes to taking care of their camp, but have their priorities right when it comes to the challenges. I think that Rob is such a super star, that they are more than happy to yield to his wisdom.

Russell was fun to watch in his first show, but the "bragging" about being the best Survivor in history is becoming annoying. So far the Villains haven't had to vote anyone out, but it will be interesting to see what happens when they go to Tribal for the first time. Did you notice how many people were surprised when Jeff Probst introduced Russell as one of the greatest players the game has ever seen. If that doesn't paint a big target on Russell, I don't know what would.

Re: Survivor 20: Heroes vs. Villians

Survivor. Is James still there? I hope not after today.

PS. Well the heroes didn't lose again, but the villains made the right decision. I thought for a moment they might vote out Parvati, but they made the right decision. You always cut the week links at first which is why the Heroes should not have cut Stephanie last week.

That was a ridiculous challenge.

Re: Survivor 20: Heroes vs. Villians

Spoiler tags in case people DVRd:
Spoiler: show
The Villians made such a stupid decision at Tribal!
Overall, I really enjoyed the episode. I was glad to see the Heroes minor rebonding over chickens, howver minimal that bonding was. I laughed out loud when Russell announced he was going to hide the machete, and Coach had some really great nonsensical moments. That challenge was awesome - I love the challenges that are just all physical and gritty and aggressive, and watching Rupert own Coach after Coach illegally knocked him off and thought he won was gold. Tyson had his first great soundbite ("steroid sandwiches"!) and Parvati proved once again that she really can control everyone with her personality, even while they go on and on about how they won't fall for it. That's why I can't dislike her. She's definitely not a favorite of mine, but I can't NOT respect someone who knows everyone's talking about how dangerous her social game is and still manages to get them to go her way. It's insane. And Boston Rob, I thought you were smarter than that. Randy is a jerk, but he was right. And seriously, they all sucked royally at that challenge, not just Randy. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Re: Survivor 20: Heroes vs. Villians

I agree Parvati is clearly a threat, but not less so then the Jerry/Coach alliance. I think they should consider getting rid of Pavarti because she is so good at controlling the situation, but she definitely isn't in control right now. Boston Rob is in control.

They have more then enough time to get rid of Parvati, so in the beginning you get rid of the week players because you need to win tribal immunity and that is what they did. I think they should get rid of Jerry next because she is more of a threat right now with her alliance with Coach then anyone else.

Re: Survivor 20: Heroes vs. Villians

You get rid of the weak players first if you don't know everyone you're playing with. Knowing Parvati's special powers there should have been no hesitation in getting rid of her.
Spoiler: show
And I accidentally came across spoilers. Some jerk posted them at EW comments (every week so far), so now I know how far she goes. And it's really far.

Re: Survivor 20: Heroes vs. Villians

That immunity/reward challenge was great! I was cheering the whole way through, and James owning Randy was just perfect. I am such a fan of the Heroes (I guess I am with the majority) and I am happy to see them win Immunity for once.

Also loved the Chicken round-up, that was a classic Survivor moment, especially with Rupert doing most of it. I get so worried about him being eliminated, especially with that injured toe. He's one of my favorites and I was just so happy for him.

As for
Spoiler: show
Randy
getting eliminated. His age probably had something to do with it, although they should have gotten rid of one of the women (Parvati? Maybe not). Though I will say he was the weakest in the challenge, getting owned like that.
