The First Task: The Elder Wand

The Elder Wand

The Challenge:
Pick a character which has had the elder wand in possession and create either a story or a comic strip around that person. The Elder Wand has to play an important role in the story.

Character has to be one who is mentioned in DH as once owning the Elder Wand.

Rules:
- Stories will have a minimum of 500 and maximum of 800 words
- Comic strips will have a maximum of 6 panels sized 250x250. 1 panel of 500 allowed.
- Comic strips will have a maximum of 150 words
- Comics: You may use pictures, original drawings (if you borrow from a fanfic artist, ask first and credit)
- Animation is not allowed.
- All entries should be in keeping with the Forum Rules

Submissions:
1. Once you have submitted your entry, it is done. No alterations or resubmissions allowed.
2. Please submit your entry via owl to one of the following staff members:

Deadline:
- The deadline for this challenge will be March 15th, Midnight GMT

The comic strip is that size for the complete comic or only for one panel?
For the story, how do you count words like "you're" as one or two words?

I decided to change the size to 250x250 maximum for each panel. That works better.

We will count it as one word. But it's essentially better to write the whole word. Looks a lot better.

I am going to enjoy this quest. I never had any idea about the Hallows existence but that Wand is so interesting. I want it. Pity I am in Azkaban at the moment.

You may pick a character that was mentioned as possessor of the Elder Wand in DH and we only know by name.

But you shouldn't give Professor Snape, Ron or Hermione the wand.

Ah, this particular muggle technology is not very stable by time I've heard. No worries, anyone can enter the Quest for the Hallows, there was no sign up.

Since I've spent a lot of my life time with researches about the Elder wand, I'm almost sure quite everyone who owned it ever, was mentioned in DH.

Is there any character you have in mind, who isn't? After all, I was dead already, when Mrs Rowling saw fit to describe Harry's final adventure with Tom, so I might overlook someone...

So they didn't have to own the wand during the time of DH, we just have to have learned that they were an owner during DH. Yes? So, for example, Grindlewald or the Peverell brother would be fair game.

Yep. In DH Ollivander told the Trio about the history of the Elder Wand, who owned it after the Peverell brother. So you could use one of the obscure characters of whom we only know their name or a few details
