See, I'm not sure about that. I've been trying to find the post on the HPForum site that has the dream stuff.

It's pretty much what it was in HBP.

I personally love that shot. All the Malfoys look so not into upsetting Voldemort and so not into the whole thing anymore.

Yeah, I love that shot. I'm a huge fan of Narcissa.

That pic of Harry reaching for something on the floor.....at first I thought that was maybe the Nagini scene because of the colors, but in the corner it says DE's attacking Harry, so maybe it's in Luna's room. So maybe they do get attacked in Xeno's house.

So we know where part 1 ends But where does this fit in the chronology of the story. Provide they haven't altered it, am I right in saying the trio are at Shell Cottage when this happens ?

Re: The Deathly Hallows Movie(s) v.6

This puts me in the awkward position of having to avoid that particular portion of the Entertainment Weekly article, because I subscribe to EW, I will read that article, and I don't want to know what the split point is until I see the movie. I mean, I'm not crazy about spoilers, especially with books or properties I'm already familiar with, but this is one of the big surprises, and I wanna be part of that real crowd reaction when Part 1 ends and the hunger for Part 2 begins.

That is, of course, the question. That has always been the question. Have they left the moment when Voldemort gains the elder wand in the same place as in the book or have they moved it up?

Re: The Deathly Hallows Movie(s) v.6

In one of the scans, there are five small pictures of new characters in the movie at the bottom: Xenophilius Lovegood, Gregorovich, Scrimgeour, Bathilda Bagshot and Albert Runcorn. Without directly linking to these pictures, what do you think of their appearances, respectively?

Bathilda Bagshot, Gregorovich, and Xenophilius remind me most of their descriptions from the books, and their costumes look beautifully designed. As for Scrimgeour and Runcorn, they seem to deviate from their book descriptions more noticeably, but I love the colors on Scrimgeour's suit and the hair suits Bill Nighy remarkably well. Runcorn also reminds me of someone who I would not want to run into regardless of the physical changes, and the jacket is a nice touch that makes his uniform look suitably modernized.

Re: The Deathly Hallows Movie(s) v.6

^^ The picture of Scrimgeour is almost exactly how I pictured him in the book! I love the look for Rufus in thos pics! I think Nighy was a great choice for that part!

Spoiler: show
Yes. In the book, Chapter 24 is the chapter called 'The Wandmaker' and the picture with the chapter is Dobby's grave. So the trio is already at Shell Cottage, and it's the chapter where the trio learn that DD's wand was the Elder Wand when Harry is asking Ollivander if he could fix his broken wand. At the end of that chapter, LV breaks into DD's tomb and takes the wand.

So it could be possible that we'll hear Harry asking Ollivander about the Hallows at the same time we see LV taking the wand from the tomb.

But like Decarus said and you question, does this scene remain in order like the book, or did they move it up? Because there are 36 chapters in the book. If this split stays, and they haven't altered it, 2/3 of the book will be in part 1.

Yeah, that's why I think it's not a BIG revelation... they easily could've move that moment to happened before Mlafoy Manor or whatever.

In the trailer it seems like that scene happens in the night, it's very dark then; but the Shell Cottage scenes are very lighted, indeed.

Holy cow from this scan Rufus Scrimgeour looks like he's seen better days, I was expecting him to be more handsome like a tad bit more how Bill Nighly looked in Wild Target, but with longer hair.

Re: The Deathly Hallows Movie(s) v.6

I like the split point but it makes me wonder how much substance would be left for Part 2.

Anyway, it's great to see how easily the split is revealed, showing how WB and the filmmakers don't think of it as a big secret at all.

Re: The Deathly Hallows Movie(s) v.6

BubbleSnake: From the way that the books described him, I would say that Scrimgeour was exactly the kind of man who looked like he had seen far better days. I'm not sure if I would regard an older gentleman with bushy eyebrows, strangely colored eyes and a mane of hair as handsome, especially when his looks became increasingly more tired during his tenure as Minister of Magic in DH. If anything, Bill Nighy looks even more handsome than the look that the text description of his character conjures, although I'm pleased to observe that they didn't try to conceal the harsher lines in his face with make-up.

Re: The Deathly Hallows Movie(s) v.6

Is this at the Lovegood's? Harry is wearing the blue shirt it looks like to me.

Hermione wearing the locket. This is the day of the Silver doe scene. Maybe they discuss the book and then Hermione gives Harry the locket.

Re: The Deathly Hallows Movie(s) v.6

Im definitely happy with the split point! Now I wonder if it is the same point as in the book or if it is moved up? Since they say the specific chapter Im thinking the same as in the book but I'm not sure

The picture of the Harry/Ginny kiss looks great!!

This was a great article

Re: The Deathly Hallows Movie(s) v.6

I love the way Scrimgeour looks. It wasn't how I pictured him in the book, but it suits the character. Especially the hair. And I can't wait to hear Bill Nighy's voice. I am going to have a spaz attack.
Oh and I LOVE this picture:
Spoiler: show

And I LOOOOOVVVVVEEEEE Narcissa's hair. It suits her, in my opinion.

Narcissa, Lucius, and Draco all have such a great look on their face. I cannot wait to see this scene play out. I do hope they keep in the bit about Voldemort making fun of them for Tonks marrying Lupin. It would be nice for them to make the connection that Bellatrix is Tonks's aunt. So assuming they show Bellatrix killing her, they would know her motive (Tonks "disgraced" the Black family name).

^^ I love Bellatrix's hair in that pic. It's huge! I think it gets bigger with each film

That's what I think. I thought it was Nagini scene at first, but in the corner of the pic, it says Harry being attacked by DE's, so then I thought Luna's Room. I think it is Xeno's house.

It looks like a kitchen to me, not a bedroom, but most likely Xeno's house.

Re: The Deathly Hallows Movie(s) v.6

Jack555:

Yes, I think that hearing Bill Nighy's voice ("You do not possess the necessary skills!", "HOW DARE YOU RAISE YOUR HAND AGAINST ME!", "Do you fear death?") will more than compensate for the liberties that the designers took with his character's appearance, as insignificant as that may be to some fans.

And, from your particular link, Jason Isaacs has the perfect facial expression for his character's disgraced status as one of Voldemort's followers. I am anxious to see how he handles the leap from the arrogant antagonist to the quiet, broken man.
