Jeff Rawle as Amos Diggory

Such a small role, and his personality is so very divergent from what's presented in the book, but the impression that Jeff Rawle makes as Amos continues to astound me. His final scene with Cedric is still one of the most heart-wrenching moments in the entire series, beautifully directed by Mike Newell and featuring top performances all around.

I absolutely agree about his scene at the end with Cedric's body; it never fails to make me emotional, and is the only time in all of the movies that I've been moved to tears.

Re: Jeff Rawle as Amos Diggory

Rawle isn't Amos Diggory I always imagined. Even now, when I pick up GoF, it isn't difficult for me to get rid of movie Amos image from my head. But I totally agree that he manage to make a real emotional moment of Cedric's death. In the book it was sort of rushed, because of the fake Moody taking Harry away. In the movie, it was a heart-breaking moment!

Re: Jeff Rawle as Amos Diggory

He is really great as Amos. Everytime I watch it, I get goosebumps when he screams "That's my boy! That's my son!" I found that more emotional than Dumbledore's death scene in HBP, and that made me wail like a baby in the book! Shows that Jeff Rawle must be a great actor.

Re: Jeff Rawle as Amos Diggory

Dumbledore's death brings a tear to my eye. Likewise with Remus and Tonks.

Amos Diggory takes that, twists it into a knot in my stomach and wrings me out. I'm choking up just thinking about that scene now.
