Yeah, I know. I'm glad of that, too.

I never minded Taub and Thirteen. I actually liked them, though I'll always like the original team the best.

Re: House M.D. v.2

I liked the original team best, too. Of the new team, Kutner was the most interesting to me. Taub and Thirteen were okay--just kind of boring. I liked the girl played by Amber Tamblyn last season. She was different and therefore interesting. I liked how they had begun an unexpected sort-of-friendship between her and Chase. I'm bummed that they're all just gone. But I'm sure they'll devise another unbelievable way to get them all back, just like they did before. Really, what's the point of going through all that? Just have them working in other departments in the hospital.

Tamblyn asked to be written out so she could do a pilot for Fox, but I'm hoping she comes back and her character returns. I really liked her as well and thought she was a great breathe of fresh air.

Oh, I didn't know that. I'm guessing her pilot didn't get picked up? I hope she comes back, too. Although, I think her character and Charlene Yi's are a little too similar. Not that they're supposed to be, but I think it's in Yi's delivery.

Yeah, I liked Amber Tamblyn's character too and how she dueled with House sometimes. I hope she comes back, but if she doesn't I might check out that show if it ever comes on.

House was wearing the Dark Mark t-shirt in the first scene of tonight's episode. He's worn the same shirt before.

Yeah, I thought I saw that, and I'm glad I was right. What a great fit for him.

Honestly though, I'm not liking this season at all. It looks like Thirteen's not coming back, and I really doubt Taub and Chase will be back either. Ugh.

Re: House M.D. v.2

I wish they'd bring someone back more regularly. We now have Foreman and Wilson popping in sporadically. Thirteen is out. Cuddy is out. Chase and Taub MIA. It'd be better if he had a familiar relationship to play off of while they introduce new characters.

So the new girl was the doc from prison? I didn't even recognize her. It was also weird seeing Wentworth Miller. He looks very different than on Prisonbreak.

Yes, the new girl was the one from the prison.

This was Thirteen's last episode.

Don't know about Chase and Taub.

Ah, I should've recognized her.

Yeah, not happy about the team being split up like that. Gah.

Re: House M.D. v.2

Finale... anyone have any thoughts on it?

I thought it was ok enough... not the best story, but not the worst either.

Saw the first hour of it and it was a behind the scenes thing, which was ok as well.

Spoiler: show
My thoughts on it

The finale was ok, with House realizing that he had a life to live, outside of the hospital, with Wilson, who was sadly dying of cancer (that was the saddest part of the finale, I still gave a damn about him (Wilson, that is)).

Heck the best part of the finale was during House's 'funeral', everyone was saying nice stuff about him... and for a bit, Wilson did as well... and then he just came out with the truth and called him (House) out on his behavior and treatment of others. He really deserved what he got there from his friend (Wilson). It takes a real friend to call someone out like that.

Wasn't a fan of the special before the ep either... didn't mind most of the behind the scenes stuff, but one of the executive producers (don't know his name) and Hugh Laurie kind of rubbed me the wrong way attitude wise for some reason. They seemed to be pretty arrogant, and it just kind of made the whole thing not the most fun to watch.

Didn't like how they explained the relationship between House and Cuddy. It seemed to be slip shod (not the word I was looking for, but it'll do), and they seemed to avoid it in a way. Saying that if House would have stayed in a relationship with Cuddy, that it would have been boring.

is all I can say there. There were better ways for them to have handled that relationship than the way that they did there. It was bad writing period. No excuse for it.

They could have had them break up, and then House react to it in his usual way... but just not in an as extreme way as he did. That was going way too far.

Re: House M.D. v.2

It was a wonderful finale. I'm sad to see it go though. There will never be another show like it. I liked the return of some of the characters, though I was angry that Cuddy didn't at least come back for this last episode. She's been there since the show first started, so it was awful not to have her there. I liked the ending as well. I thought maybe they'd kill off House, but I'm glad they ended it the way they did.

So, thanks for the memories, House. All I have now are my DVDs. I'll have to get the other season sets though. I need season one, five, six, seven, and eight to complete my collection. I'll get them someday.

Re: House M.D. v.2

I liked the last episode, or rather the ending of the last episode. The first 3/4 were a bit dull to me--House conversing with "himself" in the form of past cast members. Meh. People acted like it was so interesting that Houses last case to solve is himself and why he behaves the way he does. But I just thought that we'd heard it all before. "It's about the puzzle." Heard it a million times.

But I did love how it ended up with House and Wilson. That was probably a little sappy, but it was just perfect to me. They've always been the core relationship on this show, and just like the titles of the two-parter where Amber dies, this show has always been about House's Head and Wilson's Heart.

Re: House M.D. v.2

While I wasn't blown away by the finale, I was satisfied. I thought it was well-done, and I enjoyed seeing the old cast members - especially Sela Ward. I know they were trying to get Lisa Edelstein back, but it just did not work out for whatever reason. I was actually ok without her being there. I've enjoyed the season (well, mostly the second half) without her.

Not me. I was angry not to see her there, and I can't understand why they didn't have her there. She was a main character for most of the show until season eight. I didn't even watch most of this current season because of her leaving the show. It just wasn't the same without her. But I decided to watch the finale because I hoped she'd be there. Boy, was I wrong.

Definitely. It wasn't the same show anymore. It felt as if they were driving it towards a metaphorical cliff, so to speak. I didn't even watch it for the past two seasons due to it, along with the writing itself. It just wasn't worth watching anymore.

Re: House M.D. v.2

According to multiple articles and interviews, Lisa was not available to reprise her role for the finale. Yes, it would have been nice to see her there, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

I will say that I didn't like the direction they took her story last season. I really don't think she and House were great romantically, though they worked as friends/co-workers. I could have done without the whole drive the car into Cuddy's house bit as well.

Re: House M.D. v.2

I actually liked the romance between House and Cuddy, but I was disappointed that it never worked out. But now that neither of them work together, maybe it could still happen. You never know. That sucks that Lisa wasn't able to do the last episode though.

I always kept watching it. It wasn't as great as earlier seasons had been, but I still loved House and Wilson, and it was still better than a lot of shows out there, at least to me. I never got frustrated with it like I do with other shows like Bones for instance. It was worth watching the last season to see House grow as a character and to see his bromance with Wilson, especially these last several episodes.

Re: House M.D. v.2

I thought it was a good finale; in the end, House chose to spend time with Wilson rather than worry about his own problems that would come back to him later. It was also satisfying to see him get to that point of understanding, to forgive himself. I did think for a while that House really got up too late and did die in the fire; that annoyed me, but it would have been fitting irony. So it was even more fun to see Wilson get that text. And nice touch that House left his ID badge under the wobbly table leg in Foreman's office. It seems only Wilson & Foreman know House survived.

People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff...
