Hi Everyone,

So it's been a bit quiet for you all recently on the timings of CoS closing. I've not been online for about two months now, for a host of reasons. Lots of things are happening at the moment that have prevented me from being on CoS for some time and may continue you do so for the foreseeable future.

The good news (if it is such) is that CoS won't be closing when I had planned (end of July). I've far too much going on in my life to dedicate time to it, so for now I am going to pencil in the Autumn months to explore feasibility.

Continue to talk about the closure here and just carry on for now and watch this space. I'll update when I have some firm dates on when things can change.

I'm going to send an urgent owl to Madame Pomfrey and another to Anhelda. I'm hoping, between the two of them, there will be enough mature Mandrake to compose the cure for witchsmart's petrification! We really need her, here, and on the Quidditch Pitch, and all over the board.

Oh, good, there's the mandrake...I've got the rest of the potion mixed here in my mini-cauldron, just need to add a bit of this.....there we go. And now, two stirs clockwise..seven stirs counterclockwise.......and three wavy stirs~~~and it's ready to go. Curo imbibo!

*mandrake potion dose flies out of cauldron and goes into witchsmart's mouth*

There...give her a few minutes, and she should be right as rain. Meanwhile, I'll put some anti-basilisk measures into place to prevent any further mishaps. Avis gallo!

*flock of roosters flies out of wand*

So, at the first sign of the basilisk, these roosters will start to crow, which should stop the little monster in its tracks.

Roosters do fly--when they're being shot out of the end of a wand. Afterwards, they just settle on the chairs.
