Oh, what a shame! I hope blu-ray players aren't too expensive.

Darn those horcruxes!

I went out and bought the cheapest version with just the deleted scenes, but I can always watch most of the features online. (And I've seen all of them before anyway).

Re: The Deathly Hallows DVD

Mine arrived last saturday but I only got the time to watch it yesterday night. It was just as great the second time round as it was the first. I can't wait to get stuck into all the extras....and the film again!

I got the combo pack so at least I can still watch the DVD on my regular player or the digital copy on my computer. My PS3 can get repaired at a nearby place for $110. So yeah... those darned horcruxes!!

I watched a bit of it last night and I still got chills.

Well, darn. Wal-Mart was sold out on the two-discs DVD, but I got the one-disc. I'll get the two-disc another time!

I WANNA SEE IT!" and since it has the DVD version too i could watch it when i marathon. (i dont have a blu-ray player myself. My parents do.) Mum was all "Oh alright..yer probably right." Re: The Deathly Hallows DVD

We're watching it for the third time today

I bought the 4 disc BluRay combo pack at Best Buy. I can only watch the dvd for now because I don't have a bluray player, but I'll have the Bluray already when I finally do upgrade players.

Re: The Deathly Hallows DVD

I found the second bluray disk to be a bit empty. just a few deleted scenes and other things. the maximum movie mode was good.

‘Hogwarts is threatened!’ shouted Professor McGonagall. ‘Man the boundaries, protect us, do your duty to our school!’
Clattering and yelling, the horde of moving statues stampeded past Harry: some of them smaller, others larger than life. There were animals too, and the clanking suits of armour brandished swords and spiked balls on chains.

Re: The Deathly Hallows DVD

My DVD quality was okay, except for like two or three scenes. When there was loud background noise, during parts of the Sky Battle Chase (especially in the tunnel), and during the trio walking in Piccadilly, it was really hard to hear the dialogue.

Re: The Deathly Hallows DVD

I live in the U.S. I was so excited to go out and buy the DVD today! (I don't have a Blu-Ray player, unfortunately) I watched it as soon as I got home. It was fine for me, I didn't notice any issues with the quality. The movie was still fantastic, but I was sad because I could only buy the one-disc and the only special features are deleted scenes (and I don't even think it has all of them.) Well, I just found out about the two-disc set that is only available at Wal-Mart! I don't trust the site description, because it says that it has the "Maximum Movie Mode" and I know that's only the Blu-Ray. So, I was wondering if anyone that owns the two-disc set can list the special features here, so I can see if it's worth it to go purchase the two-disc set.
In summary: U.S. Two-Disc Special Edition DVD from Wal-Mart, what are the special features? THANKS!

My 2 disc DVD is on its way from Wal-Mart; this version is only available online. I just about made the mistake of ordering the single disc from Amazon.

I know, that's another annoyance. But, it looks like I could order it and go pick it up at the store, so I don't have to pay for shipping. I just want to know what the special features are!

If the special features are the same in the US as they are here in NZ, it has all the features the bluray has except the Max Movie Mode (obviously) and the DH2 sneak peek

Re: The Deathly Hallows DVD

We own all of the movies (DVD) 1-6. Now we have to decide if we want to buy a copy of DHpt1 and 2 (when it comes out) OR just wait and get the WHOLE set on Blu-Ray, once all of them are released.

I have seen the movies packed all kinds of different ways...
-Super deluxe versions of the solo films
-A boxed set of all of the current ones that are released - happens every time a new one comes out.
-1 n 2 packed together in one case, 3 n 4, and so on....
-The cheapo solo versions
-The ones that come with little bonus items (like the marauders map in HBP and the wand/pen/bookmark in the DHpt1)

I will give them this - they are giving people who have broken or incomplete collections many options on how to collect them...

Re: The Deathly Hallows DVD

I'm a bit disappointed in the extras on the Blu Ray. I thought there should be more BTS stuff, but I suppose they are saving that for the eventual ultimate editions and/or the documentary that is coming out. It seems that other movies had more extras on their discs

The Maximum Movie Mode is excellent.

Re: The Deathly Hallows DVD

I ended up getting the one-disk DVD, which was really my only option as I don't have a Blu-Ray player and there is no 2-disk DVD in Canada. I'm a bit disappointed in the packaging (the disk itself was very cheaply made with just the words "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1" on the plain silvery front, no images or anything on it, and the case seems flimsy). I noticed they're missing a few deleted scenes but of course it's the movie I'm interested in until I get the UEs in a few years. The movie quality is pretty good, but it could be better, of course.

Re: The Deathly Hallows DVD

I mostly care about watching the movie. It would be fun to have the director commenting on it as you watch, but ehh. I agree that the one disc DVD seemed like an afterthought.
