Vita, I hope you and Alice feel better! I just realized it. Your daughter has the same name as Neville's mother and my niece (who was born in August) has the same name as Harry's mother, though not spelled the same.

You did a great job Leah. Isn't it maddening that you never know what the one little detail is that might take you over the top from a two to a three is? I have about 8 made and I am trying to decide which to go with or if I should try another concept.

Leah, I really liked your icon. I didn't realize there was a white border to it as it blends in with the LJ background.

I had a break through with the online program. I figured out how to select the image. First I have to select the background color and then I right click and there is a menue option that is "invert" Then I copy and paste and there is a free select in the right click menue of the move button. So much easier to use.
I made a whole new grapic and it is done but I am going to wait and see if there is anything else that I want to add, but I am always mindful of Joshee's words of wisdom :It's too cluttered." and Matty's "The boarder is too wide."

Thank you. It's more of an off-white. I forgot that it wouldn't show up well on LJ when I made it.

This catagory seems simple at first, but when you are not sure how many people are familiar with certain aspects of your fanndom, it is hard to decide whether to use them or not. I think I will probably end up using it even if some people won't understand why I used it. If they don't like it, they will just give me a 1 and that is nothing new.

I've already sent mine in (*cheers for the first week of no procrastination*) and I have no idea if anyone will recognize or get mine but I think it's broad enough that even if they don't know the fandom the basic idea will still come across.

I find voting really hard for this very reason! What's the line between a 2 and a 3. I'd almost prefer a scale of 4. It becomes 1-ok, 2-meh to good, 3-great. But there's a big difference between "meh, deserves better than 1" and "really good but not quite great." Maybe I'm over thinking

I know what you mean. I would love it if there were a 1.5 and a 2.5 to broaden our options.

I used a diffused glow it was okay but I didn't think it was enough lighting so I added a glamour glow, which admittedly made it too glowy. but I did try to go for a dream like effect. don't know how well that got across.
