well in order for something to be DELAYED there would have had to have been a confirmed trailer date to begin with. and since there was never a confirmed date i think they ALWAYS planned for the trailer to come in April to begin with.

Yeah. To be honest, it seems like the fan sites (esp the foreign ones) have been posting about it being in March and when it doesnt seem to be happening (or if they actually got information for once) they say its 'delayed'.

A new picture came online.

Spoiler: show

It looks like it is the same scene as where Harry is wrapped up in the black robes when Voldemort says why do you live.

Yes it does

I do wonder exactly where this is... The boathouse?

Well it has to be after Harry "dies" because Voldemort shouldn't have any direct contact with Harry until the forest again scene.

Harry could for whatever reason go to the boathouse.

I really don't know how this is going to be handled - it'll be very interesting to see what they do

i cant work out how that scene is going to happen. How do Harry and Voldemort get from the courtyard to this place to the courtyard again?

‘Hogwarts is threatened!’ shouted Professor McGonagall. ‘Man the boundaries, protect us, do your duty to our school!’
Clattering and yelling, the horde of moving statues stampeded past Harry: some of them smaller, others larger than life. There were animals too, and the clanking suits of armour brandished swords and spiked balls on chains.

OMG! I was about to write the same thing! It's got a plank down the middle - it's got to be!

Maybe the "black robes" wrapped around Harry is Snape's cloak? Is that possible? (I'm just going by what people are writing here - I don't really remember that picture - does anyone have it?)

We know they've rewritten this scene, so anything is possible at this point.

ETA: I found the scene with Harry/Voldemort and it looks like the same place, but I don't see anything black around him.

Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part Two [incl. SPOILERS] v.2

If Voldemort was that close to Harry in the boathouse. Why would he then announce to the defenders of Hogwarts that Harry had better come to him or he is going to kill everyone? I think that it has to be kept that Voldemort is not in close proximity of Harry until his death. That is the whole point of Harry walking to his death.

Spoiler: show

Here is the new photo again to compare. I think it is certainly the same location. I have no idea where it is except in Hogwarts. I agree that i just don't understand how the final confrontation is going to play out. We know they have added "more engagement" but what that means i just don't know. I second the question of how do they get from here back to the courtyard.

Spoiler: show

Really excited about this picture! Mainly because I'm so curious about that "why do you live" moment so I'm hoping we get some light shed on that, and that picture looks very much like it could be from that scene. I hope we get a peak at that in the footage Hopefully some of it'll be online when I get up tomorrow.

From the Harry Potter Uk facebook page, possibly useful for those in the UK who don't have a blu-ray player and want to see the part 2 opening scene-

I notice that they still say "an opening scene". It probably wont be the actual opening scene.

Well they might open by showing Voldemort with the wand again.

Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part Two [incl. SPOILERS] v.2

Take this WITH A GRAIN OF SALT, but someone on Harry Potter Forum claims that this will be the "preview clip of a scene" that will be shown tonight:

Quote:
The mystery scene is said to be were voldemort realises Harry is alive! After waking during an epic battle in the courtyard Harry goes after voldemort! Harry corners voldemort in a tower above the courtyard! Alone Voldemort binds him and interrogates him! 'why do you live'? The elder wand lore is explained but voldemort doesn't believe Harry! Harry says ,'kill me' then etc'
Voldemort releases him from his binds and says he wants the wizrding world to know he killed Harry potter, he wants to be seem doing it and they agree a duel to the death!
I remain highly skeptical, but it's worth posting for the moment.

From the official twitter of Virgin Media Movies:

Quote:
We will also have one of the opening scenes from #HarryPotter And The #DeathlyHallows #Part2. #HP

Better than a trailer...
5 minutes ago via TweetDeck
On the 15th April #HarryPotter And The Deathly Hallows appears on Virgin Media Movies.... but that's not all...
So, does this mean that the "opening scene" from the Part I BluRay will be released online at the same time? How exactly does Virgin Media Movies work if they are referring to their actual service? Will you have to be a paying subscriber to see the exclusive scene from them?

Amazing picture! Great cinematography in that part.

I bet this might be something we see with the featurettes on ABC Family.

I'm not convinced that is a boathouse, myself. It's an exciting picture no doubt but it looks like the catwalk at the top of some kind of tower. Idunno. It would be a very interesting development if it were where Snape dies.

If they are going to release a bunch of stuff from the DVD/Blu Ray, why would anyone go buy it?
