I didn't recognise the name, but as soon as I saw the picture, I recognised her from one of the seasons of 24. Yeah, I can see her playing Coin.

I loved the posters; the actors playing the kids look young in the pics, so that's a big plus.
It's always a bit of a shock to be reminded about how young Haymitch actually is - only in his early forties, and he just seems so much older, as if life has worn him down.

I agree about Cherry Jones playing Coin--I think she'd be perfect!

I like all the casting choices so far--I'm not familiar with some of the actors but was pleasantly surprised with some of the people that will be in it--like Lenny Kravitz as Cinna and Woody Harrelson as Haymitch.

I registered on the official website--I am in District 4. But since I don't have a facebook, there really wasnt much to do on there after registering. :-/

Can't wait for Monday... an actual full-length trailer! And I saw something that said we'd see the capitol and District 12 as well as other stuff. I've been interested to see how the Capitol looks for a while now! Can't put it in my head really.

I did too. I was District 8. But then I couldn't figure out what in the world you could do with the site. Haven't been back to it since.

I agree with all of this. My only issue with any of the casting and costuming so far is that Katniss looks way too old. Her body is very mature, and I just never pictured that in the books.

I just watched a crappy quality version of the trailer because I can't get the itunes ones to load for me. I thought I was excited before, but OMG!

It really looks awesome, and it looks like they got it right, from what I could see in the trailer. I need to see it in high def!

The Itunes one won't work for me, but I saw another version of it and it looks amazing! They got everything perfect! The mood is so great. I totally need to see it in HD though!

Anyway...my goodness! I saw that and felt weak afterward! That looks very good! I had doubts about Jennifer Lawrence, but no more.

Finally found a youtube link that would work and OMG! I got tears in my eyes. This movie is going to be beyond awesome. I can't wait.

Is it me, or in the trailer does it look like Prim is the one who gives Katniss the Mockingjay pin? I wonder if they will leave out Madge? It's hard to tell, with editing, to know for sure who it is giving her the pin.

I looooved the shot of the tributes running at the start of the games.

I'm giddy. This movie is NOT going to suck, which makes me very happy.

Wow, the trailer is just amazing,

. Jennifer Lawerence does look quite old, but I think I don't really care much about it - looks like she's done a good job.

Oh My God. That was AWESOME. I am in tears from Prim, seriously. Katniss volunteering, very powerful. This movie is going to rock!

I think I heard a few months ago that it is planned for Prim to give Katniss the pin. I don't think a Madge has been cast for the movie.

Yes, Madge is not in the movie. That was confirmed a while back.

No, I tried on multiple browsers and tried upgrading all my plug ins. I went straight to the URL and put that into Quicktime. File > Open URL

Thanks for the info re: Madge--I didn't realize she hadn't been cast. That's alright, though. It will streamline the storytelling.

Each time I watch the trailer I catch something new. You get a glimpse of Katniss in her black outfit on the night of the chariot parade or whatever it's called.

And did you see Caesar Flickman's blue wig? It's crazy!

I thought the trailer did a really good job of giving non-readers an idea of the story without revealing too much. I'm so glad they left out images from the Games themselves.

On second viewing I'm noticing that both Gale and Katniss see the hovercraft in the woods! I wonder if they'll show the Avox trying to escape???

And the look on the Peacekeeper's face when she volunteers. It must be one of her Hob buddies. Darius?

The training speech by Snow? is definitely a movie audience thing to explain it all, but it is very chilling. And I see we're going to see some big time training from a lot of the tributes. I guess thats why they hired all stunt performers!

And OMG when they're showing D12 watching her come up from the glass tube. So powerful. I'm glad we're going to get to see different perspectives! And I can't wait to see the cornucopia!

When all the tributes are standing in a circle, they're much closer together than I imagined, but it seems like that will work. It's scary being able to see their faces!

Ok, going to watch it a 3rd time now!

That was my exact thought too! I think putting them closer together makes it more frightening.

So, near the begining of the trailer, Katniss says "Your name's not even in there once." to Prim.

But isn't every child between 12-18 supposed to be in that drawing at least once, and more for tesserae? So that was a rather odd statement.

I kept imagining a literal cornucopia in the arena...so this is interesting.

She says "It's your first year...your names only been in there once...they aren't going to pick you"
