I was listening to the audiobook of HBP not long ago and remembered that they used levicorpus in the OoTP. Those sneaky movie producers!

I noticed last night the gesture Daniel/Harry makes after Hermione agrees to go to Godric's Hollow with him in Deathly Hallow Part 1.
It was hilarious and I NEVER notice it before. Wish I had the time to look for a cap right now.

I did notice it when I saw it. It was cute. Kind of interesting, as if he needed Hermione's approval to go. But even if he didn't have her approval, I wonder what would have pushed him to have to go on his own?

I agree it was really cute. hahaha I didn't notice. I was sitting there and rewinding it for like 5 times to make sure Harry really did that.
No he didn't need her approval but it was really important to him imo. Hermione is the rational one. She doesn't do stuff just because she has a feeling there might be something there to look for. So having her approval that going to GH is a good idea was probably a relieve for him. Because being seperated especially after Ron had already left was probably not an option for both of them. I really do wonder though if he was really that determined that he would have gone to Godric's Hollow on his own if Hermione had denied.

Hogwarts.

Seriously, in Half-Blood Prince. I recently bought a new HDTV (Panasonic Plasma!) to replace my rubbish LCD TV and the picture is astonishing. Anyway, on the LCD TV, films (especially HBP) looked way too dark and there is this one particular shot in the film that shows Harry and Luna walking up the path towards Hogwarts. In that shot, Hogwarts is in the background surrounded by trees and due to the fact that my LCD TV produced such a dark image, I could not see the castle. The spot where the castle should have been was just dark. But now I can see the castle in all its glorious detail in that particular shot because of the wonders of my new Panasonic plasma!

BTW, this is the shot I'm talking about:

The DVD quality does not do that shot justice. And here's the shot with the brightness turned right up:

Well, he sort of did! In the book he was very concerned about getting Hermione in the right mood before he asked her. We know he's scared of conflict with Hermione - there are a couple times where he wants to argue with her but just gives up. I thought it was a hilarious gesture and a creative way to portray that element of their friendship.

I agree. Overall they portrayed their friendship REALLY well in DH part 1. They had so many cute little scenes and it really became obvious how much both of them have grown and how amazing their friendship is.
And yeah he was def scared of conflict with Hermione. I mean afterall that has been happening he didnt want her to explode. hahaha

I guess this would qualify more as a mistake, but I'll post it here anyway, since I didn't notice it the first time. After the wedding, when the trio Disapparates, etc, none of them say Voldemort's name, which is how I thought the trackers were able to find them!
It says Gabriella, Jake and Charlene. :-)

Someone said this on IMDB DH2 Board, and I thought it was interesting....

Quote:
In the Harry + Ginny's kissing scene in DH, in the background, instead of filming newly recorded dialogue, old dialogue was recycled from the other films.

"Ready when you are!" at the start of the scene - Fred/George in OOTP
"Well, there's something you don't see everyday!" when George is winking at H/G. - Fred/George in GOF
"Come on! Keep up!" at the end of the scene - Arthur in GOF

I just noticed today that Draco is in the three broomsticks in HBP before Katie is cursed by the necklace. He must be away to give it to her!

In Half-Blood Prince, the eyebrows on Luna's lion hat raise and lower!

Anyone ever notice that the last 3 Harry Potter movies from Order of the Pheonix to Deathly Hallows, its all dark like a Tim Burton movie?

when I watched Order of the Phoenix last night, I noticed for the first time that Umbridge spooned pink sugar into her tea.

Yes, I noticed how the movies seemed darker.

Some sign of apocalypse approaching, most definitely.

(The pink sugar is a neat film idea actually, never recognized that one!)

In Sorcerer's Stone, I noticed two things.

1. When Harry is running toward the wall, Hedwig is a stuffed animal there. )
2. When Harry first arrives onto the platform, and sees the train, look in the distance. I believe Neville is walking toward the train.

I've just heard that there is an Equus poster inside the cafe in Deathly Hallows Part 1...can anyone verify this? I can't find it.

Re: Things you didn't spot until the umpteenth time in the HP films v.2

I just noticed in COS when Harry and the Weasleys are leaving the burrow for Kings Cross and Molly gets into the car she is impressed that muggles make cars with loads of room inside because Percy, Ron, Harry, Hermionie, Fred and George are all sitting comfortably in the back seat. She doesn't realise that Arthur had bewitched the car to make in larger inside.
