But at the same time, you never know. Sometimes my parents do ask me logistical questions concerning things that are different from the book and don't make much sense.

Well i could definitely understand questions like why did Harry come back to life? I think DH1 was sort of confusing and Part 2 might be too. I mean i was confused and i know what is going on.

From the test screening reports it did sound like they mixed in some of Harry's memories along with Snape's in a montage-like way. I thought it would be an interesting way for book readers to look at it as if these were memories that Snape saw through the Occlumency lessons and incorporated them in with his to tell the story. Otherwise it doesn't really make sense in terms of the book universe, but it does make sense in a film making perspective (I think it would remind people that this is Harry's mother we're talking about). I thought that the explanation above was a good way to marry the book story and the film making concerns. I never meant that it would be explicitly stated as such in the film. I don't think the regular film people will really look into it that deeply, and if they did then they'd ask a book person and get an explanation of how it went on in the book.

Plus, if I recall correctly there are also flashbacks to Harry getting sorted and other bits from the earlier films. Am I remember right? If so, then it just seems like they used TPT a little differently than in the book.

At the moment I'm not that concerned that Snape will come across like a creepy stalker, mostly because people seemed moved by this portion of the film, and if he came across badly I don't think people would be reacting that way. We'll see.

I don't mind whose memories are whose as long as the Prince's Tale is a cinematic masterpiece. I am really looking forward to it - I love flashback sequences in visual media - and all the stuff I've heard about it - from flashes of wormtail, to this scene with lily, to Trelawney saying the prophecy - it really makes me happy! I really like the way that Yates handled memories in OotP, HBP and DH1 and I hope this is just as good if not better

Voldemort looks a little strange. But other than that it is pretty good!

Oh that poster is awesome.

Wait, does this mean that the trio poster is not the final poster but instead just in another set of character posters with this new one?

I love Narcissa the most - the way she's hiding in the back hints that she is distancing herself from Voldemort....

I know, his hands look really gross! I like the poster though... but I thought the trio one was the last one. Whatever, I'm happy with more and more!

Oh, wow, nice poster! : D Voldemort looks freaky, though.

Hopefully we hear something about a trailer announcement tomorrow as well.

Love the villains poster! It is now my desktop background.

I love how it says, 'It All Ends' with Voldemort and the death eaters looking ominious and deadly, almost as if it's suggesting a dark ending to the story where the Death Eaters win and the last pockets of resistance to the dark lord's power are eliminated.

Good for suspense!

Yeah, but Snape was there when Harry was sorted and they are going to have a voice over of Snape thinking something during that scene. Maybe about Harry's scar or about Harry being like James.

I know, but that's a cinematic device, just as is showing Lily even though Snape wasn't there in that moment. It isn't like in the book where we see the scene as it happens in his memory. In the sorting you say there is a voice over, it's all just snippets, not full memories. So it's all a bit different. All I was saying about using Harry's memories is that Occlumency lessons would be a way for book readers to explain it to themselves that would make sense, IMO. I'm fine with with it not being explained because from what we've heard so far it just sounds like some portions are flashbacks used to supplement the story that blended together with the memories from TPT. It works for me from a film perspective. Hopefully most of us will be OK with how they did it in the finished film.

Interesting villains poster to go with the heroes poster of the trio and co. I wonder if there will be one with Snape and Draco or if they might just leave them out of this series of posters?

Love the new poster!! I feel like these aren't the theatrical posters. Sites were reporting yesterday that the trio one was the LAST HP poster. Guess not lol I think maybe we'll get an official theatrical poster, announcement of the trailer, and the trailer sometime in the next 3 days.

I am fine with it not being explained either, but i think i like the explanation more of that we are seeing Harry's memories at the same time then the occlumency one. It is sort of like when Harry has the flash/memory connections with Voldemort they also use Harry's memories or thoughts during those and not just what Voldemort is seeing. I agree it is a reasonable cinematic device to use during the Prince's Tale so that they can give a true explanation and so that the scenes actually make sense. They are trying to make sure that the audience understands that it is Harry's mother.

I agree, and your explanation works for me as well. In the end, when it comes to something like this in a film it's up to the viewer to make sense of it in a way that works for them, or for some they will just go with it and move on to the next part of the story without dwelling on it. Just depends on the person.

I would really like a poster of Harry, or perhaps the Trio, that isn't about action and war, but rather about their emotions, friendship, or love for each other.

Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part Two [incl. SPOILERS]

oclumencia just posted a possible soundtrack tracklist

Spoiler: show
1. Lily's Theme
2. The Tunnel
3. Underworld
4. Gringotts
5. Dragon Flight
6. Neville
7. A New Headmaster
8. Panic Inside Hogwarts
9. Statues
10. The Grey Lady
11. In the Chamber of Secrets
12. Battlefield
13. The Diadem
14. Broomsticks and Fire
15. Courtyard Apocalypse
16. Snape's Demise
17. Severus and Lily
18. Harry's Sacrifice
19. The Resurrection Stone
20. Harry surrenders
21. Procession
22. Neville the Hero
23. Showdown
24. Voldemort's End
25. A New Beginning

So im guessing that Lily will start off the movie and not with Snape. (I hope this soundtrack is fake. I really want the movie to start with Snape.

Yeah i agree. Both ways make sense so whatever works for you. I just have always made sense of the flash/memories as they are both of their memories sort of intertwining so i think the for me the easiest way to make sense of the Prince's Tale is that a similar thing is happening. It is a fine way to create explanations because i think at this point having it make sense is what is the most important thing.
