Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Hiya!

I was wondering if anyone had read the Buffy comics that are officially season 8 and 9 of the show. These are classed as canon, although a number of fans have chosen to think that the series ended with season 7.

So:

1) Have you read the Buffy comics of season 8/9?

2) Do you consider these comics canon, or are they an offshoot of the series?

3) What do you feel about the comics? Do you like them, or do you feel that they would have been better to finish the series where the show ended?

4) Are there any parts of the comics that you feel are better than the series?

5) Did Joss Whedon allow these comics for the fans, or to continue the series?

Haven't been able to read any of the Buffy graphic novels sadly . My local library only has books 2 & 3 of it. It's really frustrating . They look like they're pretty good.

I've just started to read the comics (only on volume 2), and I love them! I've never been a huge fan of comics, but I always hear things about Buffy season 8, and I knew I eventually needed to get on that!

So far, the comics seem very Buffy like. I almost feel like I'm actually watching a continuation of the show. Even though I'm reading. I love how it connects back to things from the TV show. Especially the one bit where they make a comment that there are other "Buffys" running around and one is in Rome. It just makes me think back to that one Angel episode where Angel and Spike go to Rome where they think Buffy is, and you see her silhouette dancing. Weird to think that it actually wasn't her!
