I might be all alone in this but i really want draco to be good, not sure why, maybe to much fanfiction and i want to see someoen anyone have kids lol, i dont want everyoen to get a happily ever after, but someone really should. i jsut want it to be all tied up, no loose ends, we fans deserve that!!!

I'd hate to see Harry as a professional seeker. I think he should become Minister of Magic if he lives...but Harry living is doubtful. In fact, anyone being alive at the end is doubtful.

I think that a good twist to the ending would be if they found out that on of the relatives of the purebloods, was a halfblood, and that the war really been pointless, so that the purebloods never try a coup agian and to knock them down a notch or two, It would also work if Hermoine had more wizards blood in her. That would show that it was change the perception of her and show that it was just their prejudices had reflected peoples opinion of her.

(I think Hermoine has some prejudices herself, Giants can't be nice, house elves are to stupid to realize that they should be free.)

I think if Harry dies, it would be more cliché than him living.

I think it would be good if Harry Killed Voldemort but in doing so Ron and/or Hermione die so that is dark and bitter

One word:

I think that by the end of book seven all we will want for Harry and his friends is happy, cliche end.

If Harry should be killed at the end of Book 7, then evil will have triumped over good and Voldemort will be the one to go on living and carrying out his wickedly malicious plans with impunity.

J.K. has been outstanding at weaving a story with a heaping helping of angst, keeping our little fingers firmly gripping her books - - - BUT - - - I'd bet good money against Voldemort being victorious in the end.

When we begin that final chapter of Book 7, the three best buddies will be standing victorious over Voldemort and his fallen minions. I don't expect to read about big chunks of torn flesh and crushed bones, but there will be little doubt Voldemort has bitten the big one.

I say we will see this at the "beginning" of the last chapter of Book 7, as I'm sure J.K. will have some serious wrapping up to do.

What do you think?

Of course, I'm still hoping there is an outside chance J.K. will continue the series into his adulthood - - - there are plenty of nasty creatures to deal with, after all.

I know I read it here somewhere . . .
Let's see . . . hmmm . . . well . . .
no . . . that ain't it . . . maybe . . .
nope . . . I should've never turned
the dang thing on . . . . . . . . . . . . .

The best ending in my opinion would have Harry alive. I don't think he should die after having such a bad life. But, I don't want it to be a one sided story for the rest of the book with mass DE capturing/killings. I want both sides to have equal losses, and either Ron or Hermione or both should die, because in real life the odds of both of Harry's best friends surviving the war are slim to none being that they would be hunted. I just want it to be realistic

That is a good point. Remember when they were looking at the Testrals, someone said that having three people in one class that could see them was high. Should this lead us to believe that the chances of three of Harry's freinds dying are high?

If Harry dies Voldy will not be victorious. He will die as well and the equalibrium or good/vsevil will be maintained. Harry was created, by Voldimort, because he was so evil. If there is no Voldy, there is no need to have Harry, or at least have him be so powerful. (Joker Created Bat Man, then Bat Man Created the Joker, ther would not be one if it had not been for the other).

i was reading a lot of the early posts in this thread, and many were saying they would prefer/want either harry to die, or voldemort to win some kind of "final battle", and leave the series at that.

IMO, it would almost ruin the entire series, or at least my respect for the series, if harry did not defeat voldemort. i honestly do not know right now if i think harry will die or not, i mean mostly the whole "harry finally defeats voldemort but dies soon after his amazing victory".

one thing i'm pretty sure of though, is that JKR wont make it a fairy tale ending. she doesnt seem like that type of author, and this doesnt really seem like that type of series, either.

I think it's entirely possible that the first chapter of the book "The Boy Who Lived" mirrors the last chapter of the book in some way, either it being "The Boy Who Died" or "The Boy Who Lived" again. I think it'll probably end up being "The Boy Who Lived"

Above all, I don't want an ending where Harry seemingly sacrifices himself only to somehow pull through. If he's going to sacrifice himself, let him. That's what'd make me the most upset.

i think the best possible ending would definitely be that harry survives...but maybe someone else close to him (like ron) was killed in battle or something. and then he goes off to start a new life w/hermione or seomthing

The ending is so simple that it is easy to overlook with all of the complex theorys out there.

Harry will learn to control his emotions. In doing so he will learn/be able to let Voldy feel his emotions, namely love. Once Voldy feels love he will not be able to continue "doing what he is doing.

I think the best ending would be for Harry to defeat Voldy and maybe go on to become an Auror. I know that a lot of people are against a "perfect" ending, but I think JKR's such a good author that she could make it come out that way without turning it into a Disney movie. But no matter what, I definitely think Harry will live. JKR wouldn't let evil triumph over good.

You don't want to bottle up your anger like that, Harry, let it all out. There might be a couple of people fifty miles away who didn't hear you."

I hope Harry lives and becomes the only DADA teacher to return year after year. He did a good job in the DA meetings, and he refers to truly being happy at Hogwarts.

i want a good ending that doesn't seem to obvious or too direct but if harry had to die in the end i am expecting a very good reason. i want to know where will harry stay in the wizarding world-- most likely godric hollow, what would his house be like, what will happen to every single character (too many too mention- maybe some will be killed) that we become so fond of, with whom he will fall in love with, or will he never fall in love because of the great risk it can bring, who will be his mentor to guide him and whole lot more of stuff, just too many too mention. i really really hope that the ending will give us a lot to think of in the many more years too come

"Ah, forget it you knucklehead"
said Harry feeling slightly embarrassed and giving Voldemort a friendly punch on the shoulder.
"None of us are perfect we all make mistakes."
They put their arms on each other's shoulder and then the feeling of joy in the hearts of both Harry and Voldemort became so large that they could contain it no longer and burst into song:
"I love you, you love me, we're a happy family..."

And they all lived happily ever after.

I am not scared, Harry, I am with you.

Exuse me sir, are you the imprint of a departed soul?

You've gotta think that Jo will make everything good again with all the characters and on the last page having the trio walking out of Kings Cross Station saying "See ya later" and walking there separate ways.

The trio had better survive. the books wont be the same without the constant bickering of the three. We know Harry wont die in HBP. It's possible that one of the trio dies but I doubt it. Maybe Voldemort captures one of them to lure Harry to him then kills them in front of him which ultimatly leads to Voldemort's destruction. I hope not because that would suck big time.

I had also thought of the possiblity of Harry dying. But my thoeries usually consisted of a double Avada Kedavra which connects and explodes killing Harry and Voldemort and all the Death Eaters surounding the fight thus releasing the world of evil until the next great evil comes along.

I think the best ending would include a twist

It turns out that there is someone greater than Voldemort, someone he answers to. And this someone is.....Hagrid!!!

After Harry does defete Voldemort he expects everything to be happy by Hagrid gives him a rude awakening about the whole balance thing btw good and evil!

Anyway frustrated Harry takes a loooong walk.

2 am Luna is woken up by Hedwig who has a letter from Harry. She then sneaks out into the Hogwarts grounds to see a dark towering figure....he offers his arm to her. Reluctantly she takes it and they run off together.

While Aruba was a beautiful peacful place, every once in a while strange events took place....and there were whispers of a boy with a lightening bolt scar...
