I don't think we will see any more big twists....excpept for this one: Ron joins the dark side.
That will happen, it is just a matter of time...

I think everyone agrees with the 'Dumbledore EvIl' thing. I mean I would be surprised but I don't think it would happen. I would be shocked more if Harry died at the end, that would REALLY surprise me.

Urgh, no that wouldn't be a twist, that would be a horrible, horrible cliche!

I think I'd destroy my copies of the books if JKR tried to pull a "and then Harry woke up and realised it was all a wonderous dream" on us. Blerrrgh.

The biggest twist would be for Harry to leave school ad become a New York Cabbie!

Or Dumbledore be evil, like the glint of triumph in DDs eye was really in praise for voldies return. But I think not.

Biggest twist? Harry breaks a Time Turner and gets stuck in ancient times. Of course, this will happen with our Dark Lord and both will fight over who gets to eat the rat.

While it is terribly unlikely, it would be a rather large twist. Quite nonsensical, too. There's be no point in it.

I dislike the idea of the story being a dream. That'd just be an awful end to the story. I think I'd have to burn my books if that were the ending.

Biggest twist, Ron turns out to be on the dark side. Can't imagine it happening, can't imagine me not wanting to hunt JKR down if it did, but it would be a surprise.

I reckon someone close may betray though, Pettigrew style.

That it was all a dream.

"Voldemort pulled up his want and pointed it at Harry, Harry pulled up his want and did the same. Voldemort had said some type of a spell that Harry had never heard of. Harry's parents came up besides him. This must be some trick to make me think I'm crazy. "Harry, Harry wake up, you've been sleeping for almost a week, wakeup.. ever since that car crash you've been sleeping.."
Harry wakes up sweating from his nightmare that he had just had, it was something about a wizard school, hogheads, no, hoglead, no, Harry thought. Harry felt a light tikling sensation on his forhead. He got up to look in the mirror and rubbed his hand over his forhead where thier had appeared lightingbolt scar. Harry's parents were behind him. They put their hands on his shoulder, and they slowly dissapeared.
Harry's eye cought a whiteish envelope on the table besides his bed, with his name on it. It was his mothers handwriting:
My dear Harry,
This carcrash will shurley be the end of me, for your father has already parished. The carcrash has left you with that lightingbolt scar on your forhead.
You will be living with my sister, the only family you have. Remember Harry, I love you.
Your loving mom.

Harry ran down stairs to where he saw his aunt and uncle sitting, also the enormous Dudley.
"So, it was all a dream? Harry asked.
"Was WHAT all a dream?" Uncle Vernon had asked with his face getting red then purple
"Nothing.. how'd I get this scar?" Harry had asked yet another question.
"The carcrash, that killed your parents, now get to work boy!" Uncle Vernon replied. Harry looked at Dudley who had stopped eating just to watch Harry get yelled at.
So, it was all a dream? Harry asked himeself. I'm a normal kid, and theirs nothing weird about me? Harry combed his hair back with his fingers. I'm just a normal boy, with this lightingbold scar."

Hmm, does that sound like a good ending? If she ended it like that, I wouldn't like it.

If Professor Trelawney was really Harry, Ron, and Hermione due to time travel and gender-bending.

More likely, though, if McGonagall and Mrs. Figg were sisters.

That Neville becomes the new headmaster of Hogwarts! XD

I agree that the "Evil Dumbledore" twist would be the biggest, but it wouldn't happen.

Hermione or Ron dying would be a big twist, but kinda predictable.

How about Voldie attacking Hogwarts and killing Dumbledore? That'd be a big twist....

Hermione being all evil and everything would be the biggest twist she could make. And apparently alot of other people think so to.

If Hermione became evil, I'd probably burn my books. Here's why:

I just don't agree with Hermione being evil. She was the one who got Harry through the fire in PS/SS. She was the one who figured out that the monster in CoS was a basilisk. She was the one who helped save Buckbeak. She has always been there for Harry and Ron when they needed her. She has always helped to fight against Voldemort. There is just no reason to turn her evil.

I second that, rotsiepots! Everytime I read over this forum, I just think, ughh, JKR is way too good of a writer to pull such a cop-out at the end! She'd effectively be destroying the whole magical world that Harry (and, more importantly, we) have been ensconced in for the past 8 years! Although, I suppose in a way that would be the biggest twist she could pull ... but only because nobody would expect her to be so lame!

technically, since everyone has said what they have thought, then most liekly none of these things will be what happens, but only a slight maybe. JKR has a nack of writeing something NO ONE expects, since everyone is now expecting a "dream" ending or evil/good thing, then most likely we won't be seeing these. I agree that it woudl be a real twist if it was a dream and all that, but since most of us has it on our minds, then it probebly wont' happen. it may technically be impossible to predict what will happen. But there is one way to predict what may happen in the future. there are ALLWAYS clues from one book that leads to another thing. weither it be from the book itself or from a preveous book. The Mirror may come in handy later. sometimes you shouldn't look too hard into something. Even a grain of dust that is in an odd place may become a clue to what may happen. I'm rambleing now, but I'm just saying that we are takeing too big a leap without looking at the clues first. I'm sure theres something we have all overlooked in a book that will come back and makes us say "OF CORSE!" and a collective slap of the forhead. one thing crosses my mind on HOW Voldemort will die, from the Goblet of Fire I think it was, Harry was finishing his homework finishing off with " death by decapitation" such clues shouldn't be overlooked or taken lightly. I'm sure the way the book ends is allready spelt out somewhere in the books we've read, but we've overlooked it as somethign unimportant. just bare in mind, anything, even a pair of socks , the color purple, or something like that, could spell out the ending or things that will be. 2 books left, alot can happen, and we have 5 books to look at. who knows what we allready know, but dont' realize it... ok thats it for my philisophical ranting... bare in mind this is my first post on the boards, sorry if its a bit stupid... just giving my honest opinion.

Ummm, everyone realizes I was joking with the whole 'it was all a dream' thing...right? I would be completely and utterly disgusted if JKR pulled that, so I figure that's the biggest twist she could pull. That or Harry is really Snape and Lily's lovechild. Ugh...again I seriously doubt it will happen, and pray that this won't happen. Hmmm, a big twist that I think is actually possible though there is little evidence to support it? That Dumbledore and McGonagall are married. I actually suspect that one is true...but it's a slight suspicion. Nothing I would bet money on...well. Depends on how much money we're talking about but I digress.

The biggest twist will indeed be Harry waking up and finding it was all a dream...it'll be the worst twist though...

Wot about a reverse effect to the Avada Kedavra curse and bringing to life everyone Voldie killed???

Surely the biggest twist JK could pull off would only be the biggest if we didn't think of it, otherwise it wouldn't really be a big twist now would it?

Eh, Picko I think people are too concerned over who forms a couple in the next book to look for clues to anything else. So it may be a big twist to most readers...but perhaps a few could be close to what JKR comes up with?

JKR's twists are *really* unpredictable, by most writers standards. It would be a very intelligent and lucky person to guess some of the twists she has come up with so far, although once you re-read the book you can see the indicating factors. Like Moody and Quirell being evil, (although I know it's not Moody, don't worry.)

I personally think it's nothing that we will speculate over, we'll imagine the craziest, the most seemingly unlikely events and she'll write something that still surprises us.

Personal opinion.

I think that the biggest "realistic" twist would be Professor McGonagall being a Death Eater. She never seems to do anything to actualy help harry.
